Fandom Poke`mon Redwood: A Collaborative Adventure

I held the big egg awkwardly when the professor handed me my money. I held it weird and handed Chad my egg so I could put my stuff in my backpack. I saw him fumble with it and i saw it fall. My heart stopped and i tried to grab it " N-no!" It hit the floor and i started to cry.

The professor and trainers all looked on in stunned surprise as Moonlight hands her egg to nobody and lets it fall to the ground, shell shattering on impact. The other trainers let out a squeak of terror as Redwood stands stunned, caught completely off gaurd. A small pink ball unfolds from under the shells as everyone stares on. "Bwoow. Bwow wow." A lvl 1 baby slowpoke lies on the ground, waggling it's legs and tail about confused.
"I... have no idea what to say..."
"Damian," he discreetly whispered to his colleague. "You better go with that girl."

Snapping out of his shocked state, Damian set his egg down on a cushion and rushed to the baby slowpoke. He picked it up and examined it, checking it's vitals and making sure it wasn't damaged from the fall.

"It's okay, it's alive" Damian sighed, "but it's going to require some professional grade care"

Damian then looked over at Moonlight, Slowpoke in hand.

"I suggest we stick together kid" he said, "so I can show you what to do"

"Oh, wait!? It's optional?! N-nevermind! I don't wanna fight if I don't have to! I wanna spend my first few moments introducing myself to my Pokemon! Not just throw them into a battle!" Rosie pleaded, unaware battling was optional, and losing what little confidence she just finished portraying.

All for the better, she supposed: Elmer may be out of luck facing her... But Emily was certainly not. And that was a risk Rosie was certainly not willing to take.

She never was lucky anyway, and knowing who fights who was probably left up to chance, that gamble was never even taken into consideration.

Rosie was silent for the rest of the time, taking out her map when told, and letting the Professor talk to his son and the others in peace.

Riiight up until the blonde girl... literally handed her egg to the air and dropped it! What on earth was she thinking!?

Rosie couldn't believe it! She wanted to make a nose-dive for it, but it was too late...! It cracked and... She got a Slowpoke...

It did not appear to be too harmed, at the very least... Though the assistants statements caused concern.

The Professor made the right call to pair his assistant up with the blondie... But Rosie couldn't help but wonder if that meant he was going to be travelling with her the entire journey?

Was she going to challenge the gyms, like Rosie intended to?

"Good call Damian. Tobi, Have Robert inform the auditorium that we will not be battling on stage today due to an "unforeseen interruption" and meet us in the lab. Kids, you're technically done here, I trust you can see your way out. Right this way moonlight, don't worry I'm sure Slowpoke will be okay." With that he took the slowpoke from Damian and started briskly walking down the hall, taking turns without really waiting for anyone else to follow. Tobi immediately ran onto the stage on the other side of the door and took up the microphone, egg in a duffel bag he had brought with him.
"Hey everyone, Unfortunately the trainers decided not to battle today, so the professor asked me to tell everyone they can go home. Have a good day."
He then quickly jogged back through the doors and caught up to the others, grabbing Moonlight's hand as he caught up and bringing her to his pace.
"Dad's not a good waiter, you gotta go faster than that if you don't want to get lost."
Elmer and Emily stood together, looking on those who went further into the facility in bewilderment. "I don't understand how that could have happened." Elmer said.
"It figures the Retard girl would get the Retard poke`mon." Emily snickered a little as she turned to leave. "Uhh.. wait up, want to travel together?" Elmer asked as he followed her outside, the sound of them talking fading away the further they went.
Professor Redwood swiftly entered a large room filled with various types of machinery and equipment, clearing what appeared to be a table in a rush by swiping everything onto the floor with his left arm. he placed slowpoke onto the desk carefully and turned the machine on, looking over it carefully. "Not now!" he commanded irately as many small joltik swarmed from him onto the device, and then scattered from the scene on his command.
He then lowered a Transparent plastic dome onto the slowpoke and hooked a tube from the table machine to the dome, flipping a few more switches. "Now, I know this looks pretty scary Moonlight but this is just a precaution until I find out how close to hatching your slowpoke was. I should know within the next few minutes as this machine reads it's vitals, and then I should be able to estimate how long he's going to need to be in the machine for."
Once hooked up he grabbed for a clipboard and a pen, examining the slowpoke visually from outside the dome and making a few notes.
"I need you to tell me about Chad. Can you do that midnight? Did he drop the slowpoke on purpose?"
"Dad...?" Tobi responded, unsure of how to handle this kid's delusions, or weather or not his father should be playing along.
"Tobi, please don't interrupt. This is important."

I still have a look of shock on my face as i realized i almost killed a baby Pokemon. Tobi grabbed my hand and I herd him say something, but i couldn't tell what it was. I also heard Emily say what she said. ...Retard? I-I'm a retard?... I didn't mean to do that, I thought Chad had the baby... I looked over at Chad who had a sad look on his face.
"I'm sorry Moony... It slipped out of my hands! I would never hurt your poke`mon, I promise!"
I started crying as I was lead to a room with the baby slowpoke on a table.
The professor asked me if chad did it on purpose "N-no, he said it slipped from his hands. Right chad?" I looked over at him.
"Yes it was an accident."
I look at the professor "See? He said it was an accident..." I look at my feet covering my eyes.
"A-am i a retard...?"
I quietly say "Is the baby hurt.... I-I ?" I slumped to the floor breathing fast. The kid still holding my hand. I am a retard... I don't deserve a poke`mon...
"M-Moony calm down, its going to be okay. Moony, please calm down?"

Rosie glared at Emily as she heard her say that, and wished with all her might that she had chosen that Charmander or Cyndaquil she wanted to originally instead to teach her a lesson in humility. Unfortunately, her new Popplio would not be able to handle that... At least not without proper training. Her heart almost broke in two when the girl began crying, Emily's inconsideration and careless vernacular adding insult to injury and Rosie knew exactly how that felt.

"H-hey, don't let what dumb ol' Emily said get you down," Rosie said placing a gentle hand on her shoulder, shooting her a sympathetic smile and, from her bright pink trainer bag, handing the girl a satin, purple hankie with a yellow moon on it (She won it off a contest some years ago, and decided to pack it just in case... Seems like instincts were right this time! She also hoped the girl would notice how appropriate it suited her given her name, if Rosie recalled correctly).

She then added, though quietly and shyly to the Blonde girl with the assistant, "She has her head so high up she better hope it doesn't rain, or she'll drown! She's the type of person who would get offended if someone treated her the way she treats others, a-and you really don't need to listen to people like that..."

Now, it would seem, the small brunette had two very solid reasons to stay (and stay quiet) in the vicinity:

1.) She very much still needed a word with the Professor, in private, about the nature of his relationship with her mother... More specifically why they seemed to hate each other.

2.) She wanted to make sure this girl and her Slowpoke were going to be alright. It seemed like an emergency, but nothing that medical care wouldn't fix.

Patiently, Rosie stood beside the blondie while her Slowpoke was being examined, patting her lightly on the shoulder so show light physical emotional support...

This was, without question, something she would leave OUT of telling her Mother... At least, until she understood their situation between them.

One thing Rosie did not understand, however, was why this bitterness was there in the first place... From what Rosie saw, the Professor seemed like a good person, and his son seemed very nice as well...

So why...?

Mm, patience, Rosie supposed. She would have her answers soon enough.

Damian couldn't help but wonder what was going through Redwood's head when he asked the girl about this "Chad" person. Damian had assumed that he was just Moonlight's imaginary friend, after all Damian had one when he was her age, though he had always known it wasn't real. He had just never got to make any real friends due to his parents constantly moving around for work. That paired with a lack of siblings made him resort to creating a fictional person, but even then it was just a flimsy excuse for him to talk to the only person he ever spent any time with. Himself. The fact that Moonlight genuinely believed that "Chad" was a real corporeal entity, raised a huge red flag for Damian.

It was Rosie's voice that snapped Damian out of his thoughts,

"H-hey, don't let what dumb ol' Emily said get you down, she has her head so high up she better hope it doesn't rain, or she'll drown! She's the type of person who would get offended if someone treated her the way she treats others, a-and you really don't need to listen to people like that..."

As he waited for the professor to say something Damian couldn't help but wonder if Moonlight was fit to own a Pokemon. She may have aced the test but her relationship with "Chad" wasn't really something the test could've accounted for. The only thing Damian could do was hope that having some real friends would help tone that down a bit...

"Okay, Chad, well accident's happen..." Redwood said, looking in the direction he thought moonlight was looking when she addressed him.
"Damian can you keep an eye on things for me here? Call me if there are any changes, I have something I need to do." He placed the clipboard and pen carefully on a nearby counter top and walked quickly to a locked cabinet in the room, removing a small briefcase from the cabinet and locking it again. He then walked quickly from the room into the room he had used for giving the children thier eggs, opening the briefcase and removing two poke`balls.
"Murphy, She-lectric, return to your balls." he said, pointing a poke`ball both at the arcanine, and the galvantula who had been lurking on the ceiling the whole time.
He then took the rest of the balls from his case and placed them one by one on a holster on the inside of his lab coat, then proceeded to leave the building.
"Where's my daughter you fraud?" Redwood was greeted by a familiar, but unwelcoming voice when he exited the building.
"I don't have time for this Rosa."
Redwood jogged through the poke`mon center and into town as he halfway replied, huffing and puffing as his out of shape body took him to his destination. He stood outside the house for a few moments to catch his breath, but just before he could ring the doorbell, the door opened.
"Can we help you?" Said a worried looking older woman. "Professor Redwood, is something wrong with our daughter?"
Redwood gave a wave as if to gesture that was not why he was here as he took in a few more breaths.
"No, nothing wrong, but can I come in and have a chat with your husband and you?"
Still looking concerned she let him into their home and guided him to the living room. An oddish sat in the corner smiling, letting off a pleasant aroma.
"Lovely home you have here Marianne." Redwood commented, just about having caught his breath.
"Richard, we have a visitor!" Marianne, who was Moonlight's mother, shouted into the hall.
As Redwood waited for the father to show up, he looked around the house for signs of anything strange. One thing he noticed, is that many of the photos in the house had pictures cut out of them.
Richard entered the room. "Professor, to what do we owe this pleasure?" He said gruffly, sitting on a chair nearby, wife still standing.
"Well," Replied Redwood.
"I feel that there are some things you failed to mention about your daughter. Perhaps some special needs?" He attempted to introduce the idea delicately.
"Sir, are you calling our daughter handy capped? If so I'll have none of this!" Richard began to stand up as he said this.
"Of course not sir, however I do have a concern. You see, she keeps making mention of someone named Chad who is not present in the room. She even tried to hand him her poke`mon."
Marianne rolled her eyes. "Is that all? That's just her imaginary friend! Every child has one at one point, there's no harm in that."
Redwood looked from the photos to the mother, and then to the father. "The problem isn't that she has an imaginary friend, it's that she seems to believe he's an actual person... and that she can actually see and hear him. My concern is perhaps that she could be... haunted."
"Now Redwood, we in this house don't believe in perverse things such as the occult, and if there were some dark forces lurking about here we would have found them. We moved to Hueville because there are no psychic or ghost type poke`mon found wild near here, and I find it very unlikely that she could have come in contact with such things." Richard was standing at this point, and his arms were crossed over his chest.
"I see... I think I've heard enough, thank you. I'll be going now." As he got up and left the house he couldn't help but wonder if maybe Chad had been a brother that died, or if maybe he wasn't a ghost at all, but was so heavily encouraged an imaginary friend that her parents accidentally caused her to believe he was real. Either way he clearly wasn't going to get any help from her parents. His walk back to the lab was slower, but as he had not gotten a call from Damian he was in no hurry.
As he re-entered the facility he made his way back to the room with slowpoke and poked his head in.
"Moonlight, can I see you privately for a moment?"

I smiled at Rosie a little and wiped my eyes as i sat there for a bit. I looked up at the baby slowpoke and stood up, walking over to the glass, getting down by its face.
It looked at me as I spoke to it. "I'm sorry little guy... are you okay little buddy?"
I stood there looking at the poke`mon, then the professor said he needs to talk to me alone. I frowned and looked at Chad.
"Go on I'll be here." He said. I nodded and followed him out.

Rosie beamed back at Moonlight to comfort her as her Pokemon was being treated and pulling through (at least, she was fairly certain Professor Finbar wouldn't leave if the Slowpoke wasn't), though her heart sank as the Professor left, then came back and made her cheer up again... Ooooooonly to have it sink, yet again, as he pulled Moonlight aside for reasons perhaps her Mother might fathom, but Rosie was completely in the dark.

What an emotional roller coaster today was! Certainly not as she pictured it.

Rosie was not growing impatient, per say, as it wasn't really anyone's fault. Accidents happen.

That being established, Her stomach churned as the clock kept ticking, knowing Rosie was probably running out of time to have a word with the good Professor before her Mother came to pick her up, which would almost guarantee she would never get her question answered.

She looked down and unsure of herself as Moon was taken to the side, with a troubled look on her face as it hung from her head.

...

No!

Even if her Mother got here... She decided she wasn't going anywhere until she knew the full story of Rosa vs. Finbar!

And that was final!

Rosie took a deep breath and stayed put as the two left, still gluing her eyes to the floor.

Anyone who tried to move her would discover her feet were glued there as well.

"Thank you for seeing me Moonlight. Can we talk about your friend Chad for a moment?" Professor Redwood asked, dreading the subject just as he was bringing it up.
"Well, you may not know this but imaginary friends can't hold things. Nobody can see them, or feel them, or hear them except for you. So, I know dropping slowpoke was an accident, and I know you don't want to punish Chad, but If you're going to be able to take care of slowpoke you have to be able to do so without Chad's help. Also, it would be best not to talk to Chad unless you're completely alone, because other people may not understand. Most importantly though, even though Chad may not have done anything wrong per say, If he ever asks you to do anything to hurt anybody, including yourself, animals, or poke`mon, you must never listen to him about those things. Do you understand?"
He hoped he was delicate or supportive enough not to cause an issue, as this was the best he could put it, but one can never tell with these things.

I looked at the professor in shock. Chad, imaginary?? He's real! "What are you talking about? Chad is real, he comforts me and pats my back, gives me hugs and plays with me. Ask my mom and dad they see him, and so did Luther, we always played games by the lake." I look down, I was frustrated.
"Also it slipped through his hands, I saw it happen."

Okay, hard way it is then... "Moonlight, call Chad out here, I need you both to follow me then."
Professor Redwood led Moonlight "and Chad" back into the ball room.
"If Chad is not imaginary, then he should get a poke`mon. So, tell him to pick up this poke`ball."
Redwood crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall, pointing to the ball containing litten, the last ball on the table.

I looked at Chad. "Well, go on Chad."
Chad looked at me and down at his feet "I... I can't Moony."
I looked at him confused. "Why not? It's right there!"
He sighed and rubbed the back of his head.
"I cant touch the ball..."
"Why?" I demanded.
He stared off is space biting his lip.
"I'm not really here... I'm a figment of your imagination... I can only touch you."
I glared at him. "Your lying Chad."
"No I'm not, it was your brother who lifted things for me. Don't ya remember? That's why they kicked him out, and that's why I haven't picked anything up since he's been gone."
I looked down at my feet. That's right, Luther was the on who did that... So chad is in my head... but he feels real... hes in my head... I don't care, I'll just talk to him alone...
I look at the professor. "Luther was the one moving things for chad... he was psychic... I guess I always thought it was Chad... I'm sorry..." I rubbed my arms nervously.

Redwood let out a sigh of relief.
"You don't need to be sorry kiddo, I was just worried about your safety. To be honest, I thought he might have been a ghost, and if that was the case you could have been in very much danger. I'm glad we got that all sorted out. Lets go check on slowpoke okay?"
He led Moonlight back into the makeshift emergency room and took the clipboard back from Damian, then he looked slowpoke carefully over and lifted the glass dome. "We're in luck, It seems like it, sorry, he is going to be just fine. He currently knows three moves: Curse, Yawn, and Tackle. He also has the Regenerator ability, so when you switch him out from battle to call another poke`mon, he heals a little bit. Also, if you would like to nickname him, you can."
Redwood handed slowpoke carefully back to Moonlight, and slowpoke looked up at moonlight with a blank stare.
"Bwow."

Rosies%20Trainer%20Card%20real.png

Rosie perked up when they came back. Finally, it was her time to strike!

Like a hungry Staraptor, Rosie went straight for the Professor once it seemed like things were no longer so urgent, and knowing she didn't have much time, swooped right in. Her mother could be here any minute.

"Please, Moonlight, wait! I-I need to talk to him!" Rosie huffed as she ran up to them, hoping it wasn't too late.

If Moonlight couldn't guess why right then, Rosie answered that in the form of her request.

"Professor? I realized I never had that word. Before my Mother gets here, I'd like to," Rosie requested.

Damian_Trainer_Card_2.png

Damian couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he heard the professor list off the Slowpoke's moves. Mainly because Curse, Yawn and Tackle happen to be three of the things Damian wants to to do whenever Rosa starts on one of her anti-Redwood rants. Ah well, he'd be free of it soon enough, as soon as he hit the road with his egg...

"Damn it" sighed Damian,

He slipped away from the professor and the others and headed back to the egg room where he had left his egg. He picked it up gently and started back into the "Emergency Room".

"I wonder what you're gonna be little guy" Damian said in a soft tone, "Whatever you are I want you to know that I love you very much"

Damian's soft voice became a hushed baby voice, "And I won't name you Chad, no I won't"

Damian smirked once more as he arrived back at the "Emergency Room", holding his egg, but no longer speaking to it.

"Professor? I realized I never had that word. Before my Mother gets here, I'd like to," Rosie said as Damian entered.

"Uh-Oh" Damian thought, "That's never a good thing to hear from a Chandra"

"Very well Rosie. What's up?" Redwood asked as he waved for her to see him in the hallway. He shut the other two trainers in the room just to be safe.

Rosies%20Trainer%20Card%20real.png

Rosie had sincerely smiled for the first time today as she got her wish. Patience had paid off!

Her head was almost spinning, she almost didn't recall what she wanted to ask!

No, no. She'd come too far not to have her Psyducks in a row at this point!

It was just her and Redwood now, with no chance of her mother poking her nose in.

She took a deep breath, stared at him a moment... and then:

"You know... I almost didn't come here today," She began, looking down, then adding after a moment, "I almost didn't come here and, at first, I thought she was just scared. It seemed feasible to think that, given my big brother only checks in rarely since he began his journey two years ago, and my Father, a veteran trainer, went missing long before that. Being her youngest child and only daughter, it makes sense she'd be scared to lose me as well and want to tag along today. I spent the better part of this week convincing her to let me be here today."

After a brief pause to regain her courage, she continued...

And felt her arm point right at the Professor, saying, "But my struggles and her recent actions should come as no surprise to you. For entirely different reasons than I could fathom."

Time to rip the band-aid off of this.

"Professor, it's abundantly clear you and my mother don't like each other. It may not have been my business a week ago... But considering your relationship with her almost ended up with me having to wait a whole 'nother year to be a trainer,"
Rosie then stopped pointing at him, held out her new pokeball in front of her, and added, "And possibly miss out on my new Popplio companion today...S-so... I'm making this my business. Please... I need to know: Why does my mother hate you?"

Rosie gave him... A pleading gaze.

It was unclear from her facial expression whether or not his answer would affect how she would see him from then on...

But it was clear she wasn't leaving until she knew.

It surprised Redwood to see Rosie so determined, but also warmed his heart. He almost felt bad for what he was about to say, but knew she could handle it.
"There are many reasons your mother hates me, but I do not hate your mother in the least. She does however make it difficult for me from time to time when it comes to running my lab. I've been here three years, and yet I've only been allowed to hand out poke`mon for two. This is because not everyone in the scientific community agrees with my past career choices, and judges me for it. You really should be hearing this from your mother, but since you are pressing the issue I'll tell you everything you need to know about us."
He took a deep breath, knowing he was overstepping his bounds.
"Your father was a trainer with great aspirations, and wanted very much to participate in and win the international poke`mon championship tournament. Every year that he would attempt to compete, he would face me in one of the many preliminary battles used to decide the participants in the tournament. Every year he would lose. This eventually drove him to drinking, and over time, that caused him to make poorer and poorer choices. One of these choices led to him being gored and trampled by a tauros, which left him feeling emasculated, which led him to decide he was not good enough for your family. Therefore he left. Personally I feel that your mother holds me accountable for this in some way, because as a poke`mon teacher she understands how IV's and EV's work in relation to poke`mon and their performance in battle, which means she has no other reason to take a stance against me being part of the scientific and teaching community."
The professor sighed again before clarifying.
"Essentially, Your mother is one of the community who convinces others in the community that I should not be allowed to teach, or give children poke`mon, and I think she knows better, and holds a grudge for another reason, and thats why I don't get along with her either."

Rosies%20Trainer%20Card%20real.png

Rosie's eyes widened and she grew more horrified with each passing word Redwood spoke, covering her mouth at certain parts to hear him clearly.

It all made sense now. It all also was very emotionally draining.

He was right: She should have been hearing this from her mother.

A Tauros... She knew there was a reason she didn't like them... She clenched her fist without realizing it.

Memories came flooding back to her as if his words were some spell that gave her visions of things she almost remembered.

Her father covered in blood... Her mother crying... Hearing them yell...

Seeing him leave as she reached out to him...

Anger and sadness fought inside of her, all the while trying to keep her composure around the Professor.

He was right, none of this was his fault, but she supposed in grief she could also understand why her Mother thought the way she did. Even though she didn't want to...

Some part of her even understood why her father left her mother to raise two children alone...

In fact, because this situation was almost blameless to her... Anger lost the fight, and Rosie was now fighting tears, whimpering quietly.

She was frozen for a moment, and then looked at the hand holding a Pokeball...

She pressed the white button to release the sea lion Pokemon.

Before it had a chance to react, Rosie scooped it up in her arms... Cuddling it and nuzzling it.

Part of it was because they needed to know she loved them dearly and wanted a good first impression... Another part was because she needed it as well.

"Thank you, Professor. Uhm... may I know their gender? It really doesn't matter to me, I just have two names in mind depending on which they are," Rosie murmured, cuddling it more and determined to not cry in front of him.

She wasn't going to cry in front of anyone. Not again.

Never again.

She will not show weakness.

Weakness wouldn't help her be the very best.

Weakness wouldn't help her find her father.

Redwood started to smile as he watched Rosie release and immediately hug her poke`mon, but to his surprise something was wrong. She was so full of emotion she did not seem to notice that where her sea lion pokemon should have been, was something scaly and sleek.
As Rosie cuddled the purple pokemon, it slipped its head upward and down, engulfing her entire head in its mouth.
"What the hell!?" Redwood quickly grabbed the pokemon and pulled it out of Rosie's arms, looking it over curiously. As Rosie looked up, no doubt dumbstruck by the fact that her head was in a poke`mon's mouth, she noticed the professor was holding an ekans.

"AAAAIIIIIEEEEE!!!" Came an ear-piercing yelp from the small brunette, but it was mostly at the fact she sought comfort and instead nearly found herself snake food! It was her worst nightmare, actually, but Rosie HAD to try to keep her cool.

She heard the Professor curse at his obvious mistake and hoped he didn't do this with Elmer and Emily!

...Well, okay, maaaaaybe it might have been okay if he mixed up Emilys pokeball...

Concerningly enough, the "things to keep from her mother today" list was growing with great rapidity...

She was a bit angry, and in her anger, could see why this rookie mistake would cause her mother NOT to see Redwood with such high regard, but he was only human and this was no reason to fan the flames of her mothers hatred.

In fact, a moment later, sadness won again, as she dropped to her knees and started bawling, cursing her awful luck and the universe that granted it to her.

It was too much for her.

It was all too much.

Sadness had won the war and claimed its victory: Rosies emotional state.

"Wh-why... Why do things like this always happen to me?! What did I do to deserve this?! Why? Am I a bad person?! Did I deserve this?! Why? Why!?"

She rambled on uncontrollably after this, though not much was clear through the tears and sobbing.

It was a pathetic sight she had hoped to avoid, but then again, today was, at this point, a day she should have avoided in general.

"Oh for the love of... Damian can you deal with this?" Redwood hurriedly took the poke`ball she had dropped and called the ekans back inside.
He ran into the lab room and hit the button for his PA system. "Attention all Redwood Laboratory personnel, we have had a security breach and must lock down the lab. This is not a drill, all personnel not responsible for the security system are to round up everyone and anyone still here who have attended the seminar today. Thank you."
Dammit Finn, why me indeed!
He thought to himself, running from the PA system to the poke`ball room, pulling up his poke`gear as he did so.
"Hello, Hueville Police department please, I believe there was a robbery! I need the following people accounted for as possible suspects- What do you mean calm down? You calm down!" He was in full panic mode, examining the Id numbers on each poke`ball and letting the poke`mon out into view.
"Ekans, nidoran, nidoran, ekans, weedle, venipede, grimer, zubat, zubat, zubat, zubat, for the love of god it's either ninjas or team rocket at this point!" He said furiously as he called the pokemon back into their balls and placed the balls in a box. He then rushed over to the hatchery and inspected each egg, counting them as he did so.
"Hello, police? Am I still on the line? Is anyone even on their way? I need Rosa Chandra, Emily Scranton, and Elmer Hawthorne found and brought to my lab immediately. What do you mean you can't do that just figure it out! There are about twenty one poke`mon missing from my lab, and I need everyone who was in attendance found!"
Not having the patience right now, the professor hung up on the police.
"At least the eggs are fine..." He muttered to himself as he walked back to the Laboratory room to meet with the others.
