The Workshop is a location crafted by the God of Technology, Bellanelle. It was designed to be self-expanding and was then purposefully lost in the Dreamscape somewhere during the beginning of time. Since then its grown into a complex of immense scale, one of the few consistent presences in the Dreamscape. The Workshop's actual location is constantly in flux due to the esoteric nature of the Dreamscape as a whole, but it serves as a hub for the only non-divine creatures capable of traversing the Dreamscape with any ease: the Dreamkeepers.
The Workshop is a vast factory, with different portions of it varying wildly in their level of technology. Some paths are for horrifying metal corridors with smokestacks billowing pollution in the air, while others are futuristic halls of smooth construction lined with displays and holograms. As a rule of thumb, the level of technology seems to advance the deeper one heads into the facility, until the line between technology and magic becomes thoroughly blurred.
The Workshop's primary function is to produce and maintain the Dreamkeepers, with many stalking the halls to repair the facility or help in its function. Conveyor belts and assembly lines are common occurences, with storage facilities and stockpiles of assembled data as well.
Bellanelle maintains control of the Workshop even if she's not there in person. Despite its primary function being the Dreamkeepers, the Workshop is also used by Bellanelle to test certain things such as inventions, modified Dreamkeepers and the like. As such, large portions of the Workshop are devoted to numerous simulations to help her refine her creations.
