Picture Perfect (With DulcetFlux)

RedLipstick34

A Lady in Perpetual Waiting
Blah. Wanted to go ahead and get this out there. I shall make the charries next. Not sure if you preferred long or short descriptions but since my main character doesn't even know his own personality I'm not sure there's much to say about him haha. I'll give his best friend some depth though of course. Also wasn't sure if this should be considered Fandom or Modern. Oops.

Oliver Yorke

Eternally in his own little world.

Oliver grew up with an overbearing father with such high expectations that his son was simply born a failure and needed to prove himself otherwise. He was to become a business owner or CEO preferably, though a surgeon or lawyer probably would have sufficed. And Oliver tried very hard to please his father through all of his teen years. Up until senior year Oliver was a good kid. He wasn't a straight A student, and he had some questionable friends but any other parent would have been delighted to have a son as well mannered and responsible as Oliver. Not Don Yorke. Nothing was ever going to be good enough to please him. So in his senior year, Oliver decided to pursue acting. He was never going to be bright enough for the careers his father preferred, and at least this one would bring in good cash. He was good at acting anyways, he did it every day of his life. It wasn't like Oliver enjoyed studying constantly and turning down every party he was invited to so that he could stay out of trouble, he'd rather be living life the way he wanted. He acted everyday for his father.

So here he is a few years later and in decently popular roles in decently popular movies. By this time he lives on his own far away from Donald Yorke, who he rarely even speaks to anymore, despite his father's declining health. Oliver makes good money now, though his father still isn't pleased, and he's currently room-mating with his high school best friend. They're seemingly living the dream, but somewhere along the way Oliver lost himself. Well, if he ever was himself to begin with.

(Still found a way to use Dane whoo!)

Cameron Wise

Oliver's Best Friend

Cameron met Oliver during high school orientation and they've been inseparable ever since. Cameron's always been a little reckless despite how careful his best friend tended to be as a kid. He was the friend smoking weed and offering drinks and parties that Oliver continuously turned down. Even now that they're adults Oliver's got his life together way more than Cameron does. He's flighty when it comes to women, never keeping a love interest longer than two weeks, he works a boring office job and spends his weekends in clubs and bringing women home, he would rather go on an adventure stealing statues from a park (their house now holds four) than worrying about his taxes. Cameron's simply not ready to grow up yet. At least he's a hell of a lot of fun. Despite his trouble with responsibility and adulthood, Cameron's a good guy. He's noticed Oliver's tendency to change personalities and moods quite often, but also knows how tough his upbringing was so he hasn't mentioned it. One night in particular, after filming a rougher movie, Oliver came home in one of his more angry moods and started a fight over how little Cameron picked up after himself. The fight came to blows and Cameron moved out for a month, but Oliver's always apologetic after he goes off the rails, so they eventually made up. Cameron hasn't talked to Oliver about what he's seeing, he's more of the 'get you drunk to forget about your problems' type of friend. Not to mention he's a man and men don't talk about their feelings with other men. It's in the guy code book or something, right? He's pretty sure.
