Mara. Team 2

Mara stood at the edge of camp,

Wearing a set of heavy armor, her mace held in her hands, three javelins strapped to her back, in case she had need of a ranged weapon. She seemed to be the first to arrive, so she took a seat under Thalia's Tree, arms crossed over her chest, mace resting beside her. She thought she was quite ready for this quest, shouldn't be too hard. After all, they didn't have to fight the Titans they were supposed to meet.

Isara Yistar, Team 2

Put the last of the items she wanted in her bag, including another slab of meat for whatever was rummaging around in her bag. She looked over and took a deep breath, she hated that she wasn't able to find the boy who knew where Lea was. However, she knew that she was still north and that is where Isara would go. She took a deep breath as she made her way to Thalia's Tree and looked at it curiously. She was inspecting it's beauty, she hadn't seen trees in a long time. She would miss them.

Isara took a deep breath taking in the woods smell. She didn't notice Mara sitting under the tree.

Cassie Hugh, Team 2

Cassie slung her backpack over her shoulder, rubbing her eyes, as she walked sleepily out of her cabin. She hadn't been able to sleep much the night before, perhaps anticipating what she needed to do now. Cassie had to find Luke; there was something important she needed to tell him before they left for the quest. She looked up at Half-Blood Hill, but only saw Mara. To be honest, she was quite relieved that he wasn't with her. Cassie wanted to tell him the news alone. As she looked around the rest of the camp, she didn't see him anywhere else. Taking a deep breath, Cassie marched up the Aphrodite cabin front door and knocked.

Luke Labine | Team 2

Luke was still sleeping in his bed when the knock on the wooden door woke up him. He sat up with a start, stretching and blinking the sleep out of his eyes. Figuring it must be something important if someone was going to wake him up this early, he didn't bother putting on a shirt and made his way to the door. When he opened it and saw that it was Cassie, the quest suddenly came to his head and his eyes widened. "Shit, the quest is today, isn't it?" he asked, panicking a little inside. His blonde messy hair skirted the edges of his face and his toned body reflected in the sunlight.

Cassie Hugh, Team 2

Cassie bit her lip and tried to keep her gaze focused on Luke's face. Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down... She nodded. "Yeah, but I'm not here to talk about that. It's something else, something I think you should know about." Cassie could feel her hands starting to shake slightly, so she buried them in the pockets of her jeans, hoping Luke wouldn't notice.

"Sure what's up, Cass?" he asked, leaning against the door frame as he used her nickname. Luke wondered what it was that was so important she wanted to tell him before the quest, but he let his pale blue eyes focus on her and waited for her to talk. He noticed her nervousness, only serving to make him even more confused.

Walter Rais | Team 1

Walter peeked into his bag. Clothes? Check. Candy that he sneaked in (thanks to the Stoll brothers)? Check. Hygienic products? Check. A few drachmas? Check. Was there anything else that he forgot? He shrugged. Not that he cared. He grabbed his backpack and walked outside, one strap of his bag slung over his shoulder. He just wanted to talk to someone at the moment to calm down.

@ anyone willing to talk to my son

Cassie Hugh, Team 2

Cassie shifted her feet. She was usually pretty bad when it came to talking to boys, especially about feelings. Cassie closed her eyes, sighing, and praying for her mother's (and Aphrodite's) guidance. When she opened them again, she found it hard to look into Luke's eyes. "Well, I have this crush on you, I don't know if you've heard..." At first, it was hard for Cassie to get the words out of her mouth, but before she knew it, Cassie had finished telling Luke how she felt about him, ending with, "And I know Mara likes you, and you like her. I don't want to get in the way of that, but I just thought I'd throw this out there, so you'd know." She paused, realizing just how fast she'd been talking. "This is why I was so awkward yesterday." Cassie almost mumbled the last part as she looked down at the floor.

Luke Labine | Team 2

Luke was speechless, surprised at everything Cassie had told him. They always had a lot of fun whenever they hung out and he enjoyed her company, but he had no idea she liked him as more than a friend. What was more shocking was when she told him that he liked Mara. Did he? He had convinced himself that she was just a friend, but Cassie's confession made him question his feelings again.

"Thanks for your honesty, Cassie," he began to say. "I had no idea that you felt this way.. I don't really know what to say," he admitted, looking down. "I really enjoy your company and I love spending time with you," he said truthfully. "I hope this doesn't get in the way of that, because you're important to me," he finished. "And I don't really know if Mara likes me, I'm pretty sure she doesn't. I don't even know if I like her," he added, not wanting to make Cassie feel worse. Luke hadn't sorted out his feelings yet and this was all so confusing to him. For an Aphrodite kid, he was pretty bad at this Aphrodite-ness.

Cassie Hugh, Team 2

Cassie smiled warmly. "Thanks...I think." Raising an eyebrow, she continued. "And I'm pretty sure Mara likes you. Didn't you see the way she smiled when she was around you last night? She never smiles. I don't know about you, though. I just kind of jumped to conclusions, I guess. I tend to think I know everything until proven otherwise..." Cassie blushed. Why am I telling him this? Ugh! Shut up before things go wrong! She glanced down at his bare chest, remembering that she was hindering him from getting ready, then quickly looked back up at Luke's face. "Um, I'm gonna go now. See you in a little bit." Cassie smiled again and waved before heading to the front of camp to wait for the others. As she jogged up the hill, her dark hair flew out behind her, the sunlight glinting off of it.

Vianca

Vianca wakes the next morning in the Hades cabin, which she only knows because it feels gloomy. She can't see it, she can only go by the sounds and general atmosphere. Vianca stands and leaves, knowing that Alec will be okay in his own cabin. She will make sure he isn't left behind. She wanders around camp until she walks straight into someone. Welp. Shit. Awkward. "Sorry." She apologizes quickly.

Luke Labine | Team 2

"I'll see you!" he smiled warmly at her, waving as she jogged away. Luke watched her leave thoughtfully, thinking about what she had said about Mara. Did she really like him? he asked himself as he retreated back into his cabin to get ready. It was all he could think about as he packed his stuff, even wearing a thin layer of chainmail underneath his clothes. He remembered what Mara had told him about wearing armor. After making sure he had all his knives hidden amongst his clothes, he slung his pack over his shoulder and his way up to the tree. He couldn't help but think back to Cassie's confession as well as her thoughts on Mara.

Cassie Hugh, Team 2

Cassie laid down on her back at the top of the hill and gazed up at the sky, watching the clouds float by. She found herself smiling, but she couldn't really help it. Cass felt as if a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders. She thought back to her conversation with Luke, how he'd said with such sincerity that he loved her company. No one likes me, huh? Take that, you old sky fart! At least there was something Ouranos couldn't use against her... Thanks, you know, for not letting me crash and burn. Cassie had almost forgotten to thank Athena and Aphrodite for their help. She traced her hand along her sword's sheath as she looked over at Mara and Luke. Cassie felt a pang in her chest. What was it? Jealousy, sadness, loneliness? She frowned and tried to push the feeling aside.

Mara Team 2

Mara blinked, looking up at Isara as the girl simply seemed to stare right through her. "Where the hell is everyone?" She muttered to herself, her thoughts wandering, wondering what Luke was doing right about now, until she saw him begin to approach, almost magically as she thought of him. She couldn't help but smile as he approached and she stood. "Hey pretty boy!" She greeted, grinning. "You happen to have some armor under there? Because you might need some incase some monster decides they want a taste of you," she chuckled, poking him in the Chest, before pausing, recognizing the feel of chain mail beneath. "What? You don't think you look good in chain mail?" She taunted, smirking.

Ryan Grey | Team 1

Ryan doubled checked he had all his gear, going through all the gear he had packed into a small backpack. Ensuring he had everything, he headed out of the Ares cabin and made his way over towards the edge of camp where the group of campers who would be going on the quest were beginning to assemble.

As he got closer he saw Walter and...Vianca. He hadn't seen much of her since his yelling match with Mara so he was a little unsure of how this would go. Strolling over to the others he nodded a greeting. "Walter. Hello Vianca...I hope your feeling...okay." The last part was said in an uneasy tone, a unsual one for Ryan to have as he was always rather direct.

Luke Labine | Team 2

Luke smiled at his team as he closed in on them, looking at Isara, Mara, and Cassie. He realized that he hadn't seen Isara since they saw Lea's astral projection together and figured that the girl must be worried about her sister. He gave her a sympathetic look, trying to let her know that they would save Lea.

He walked over to Mara and set his pack on the ground. "Hey! I almost overslept, it's a good thing Cassie came knocking on my door," he joked as he glanced over at the Athena girl with a knowing look, referring to their conversation earlier. "Hey I may be questing but that doesn't mean I can't look good doing it," he replied with amusement in his voice.

Hayley Cartier Team 1

Once Hayley had finished forging armour and a shield for Jethro, which had been a pleasant challenge, she packed up everything she thought she would need for a quest (she'd never been on one before) and headed to where she saw the other volunteers gathering. She saw Ryan and Walter and a girl she had never seen before and decided that she would hang out with them if they were forming a team, mostly because she couldn't handle all the drama of that Luke kid and that Mara girl and the girl she liked to call 'Smart Girl'. She didn't say anything as she and Artoo the claw walked over, being strangely sedate compared to her usual hyper self. She was a little nervous, truth be told. What if she actually died on this quest?

Mara

She simply sighed, shaking her head. "You are one dense mother fucker," she chuckled to herself, smirking. "So.... Let me get this straight, you prioritize looking good over your own safety?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, noticing the strange look he gave Cassie, though she said nothing of it. "And I can't believe you would sleep in on the morning we're leaving on a quest Luke," she said, smirking, punching him playfully in the arm, before scowling, holding her hand for a moment, remembering he wore chain mail underneath.

Cassie Hugh, Team 2

Cassie looked up at Luke and smiled, pretty sure that he was thinking back to their conversation. She stood, dusting off the seat of her pants and grabbing her backpack as she walked over to where Luke and Mara were standing. "Well, just think of me as your own personal alarm clock, then." Cassie winked at him, giving Luke a lopsided grin. She shifted the bag so that it sat more comfortably on her shoulders.

Walter Rais | Team 1

Walter blinked as a crowd suddenly formed in front of him. Well, at least he knew those guys. Except for the girl who he just figured out was called Vianca. "Hey, guys!" He should be used to this by now, but he was still surprised to see this happen so quickly. "You excited or nervous?" Personally, he was feeling both. There was that risk something bad would happen, but he also loved that thrill.

Hayley Cartier Team 1

Hayley smiled a little as Walter asked about the quest and said "I bet it'll be kind of fun, I mean it's a once in a lifetime thing right?" she said, although she only half believed it. It being called a quest made it seem fun, but really it would probably be horrible, fighting monsters, no parties, being stuck with the same people all the time and if any of them decided to argue there was no peace. Even she liked a little peace occasionally.

Katy McDougal

Katy finally managed to tear her eyes away from the Golden Fleece and made her way into camp, pleased to see a whole bunch of people talking as though they had something important to do. She decided that if she wanted an explanation about this place she might as well go to them and ask. So with bag in hand and her twin daggers at her hip she walked over to the one of the groups.

"Excuse me, can any of yous tell me where I am exactly? I'm in camp halfblood, I know that much, but do I need to go see anyone?" she asked, wondering if her Scottish accent was too strong for them to understand. Unfortunately that happened a lot and not just here. Even back in Scotland. It was horrendous!

Vianca:Team 1

Vianca hears a familiar voice and her eyes narrow a bit. It's that stupid Ares boy who said she didn't belong. "Hello. Nice to hear you again. MEET. Fucking gr. Nice to meet you again." Vianca was quickly averted from her anger when she hear a thickly accented voice ask where she is. Vianca smiles a little. "Welcome. This probably is the worst year for you to have shown up, but oh well. You might want to talk to Chiron, he is the camp director. You will find him in the Big House."

@ShurikenPhoenix @Volfy

Katy McDougal

Katy's eyes widened even at the mention of Chiron. Surely she did not mean the centaur who trained the greatest heroes of legend. "Chiron? As in the Chiron?" she quizzed, noticing that the girl who had spoken was blind. She admired her for surviving so long as a blind demigod, It certainly could be done she assumed.
