Part I - The blood-dimmed tide

Erika was back to her usual chirpier self, but a worried look was on her face. She wanted to find the others, especially Emi. With the mist all around her and Kurio, it was rather unnervingly quiet as if all the others were not there. Suddenly a voice was behind her and she whipped he head around to see the old man Benton. She was about to protest, wanting to look for the others before realising that they might be making their way to the city as well. Out of the fog as Benton suggested. "Ok..." she nodded. "Do you know which way?" While speaking she squatted down to try and look into Kurio's eyes, to see if he had recovered from his panic earlier. "Kurio, we should go now... can you walk?"

Refara Illinara

The snow-haired assassin watched Garrett slide his hand to his lower back and deftly spin it up for her to grasp hilt up. So the girl gladly took it and sat up straight on his shoulders. She felt marginally better but only just, fingernail running over the blade noting happily Garry kept it nice and razor sharp. He'd get a stern talking to if it was anything but perfectly sharpened, she was a stickler for a sharp knife.

Regardless, and despite it being larger then a normal blade, it still required her to be close combat as opposed to the Scythe being ranged, and her encounter with the Pixie Swarm was a literal scarred reminder how bad she was in close quarters.

A sound drew her away from her thoughts, a rustle and her piercing gaze from a high perched position spotted the hound as it ran right for Garrett. "90!" She yelled to him using degrees as a term to tell him exactly the position of an incoming force, "2 for 160!"

Even as the words slipped her mouth, the girl had flicked the blade in her hand to face downwards before she swung a leg up and over his shoulder and simply continued the motion as she turned and slammed the huge blade into one hound's shoulder before letting go of Garrett completely and using gravity to tackle that same bloodhound to the ground.

This took out one so the hound orginally aiming to take her out missed completely leaving two for Garrett.

Refara focusing on the one she had tackled, using her body weight to keep it pinned and avoiding his snapping jaw at her face, she reefed it to the side, yanking the dagger out of the hound's shoulder before plunging it more directly into the side of his neck. Right into a major artery.

"I can sense an absence of this fog straight ahead of us. Follow me and I'll get us into the city." Benton said pulling out a thread. Benton usually keeps his metal wires for his own stitching and uses a thread like this for other people as the thread is more commonly used and easier to get a hold of. " Keep a hold of this so we don't lose one a other." Benton said pulling out a very large amount of the thread then throwing the thread to the both of them before walking into the mist.

{/\/\Marth/\/\}

Marth had awoken when it got too cold. Seeing the mist he was curious. "Hewwo?!" He called out as he hopped off the wagon, hitting his face, whimpering as he stood. When no one answered, he got scared but he vanished into the fog, calling out until he came to a relezation.

They had abandoned him and he was all alone again. His fears ripped into his undefended, pure soul, causing him to sink to his knees, tears streaming from his emerald/forest green eyes, no sound coming forth from his lips just yet. He then put his tiny hands to his face and put his elbows onto the colder ground before he wailed a sad, pitiful cry, curling into a ball, his tears feeding each demon the child had, quenching their thirst. His sobs echoing in the forest, not to be heard by anyone the child thought.

Draena paused for a moment. He knew it was dangerous to go out into the fog and search for others, but he also could not risk exposing himself. Deciding it would be better to go along with them, as he was clearly the most combat oriented among the three and it would look much better if he saved them than if he left them. "It could be dangerous to wander around in this fog. It's clearly not natural so it could be hiding something. But that also means the others could be in danger..." He said, letting the words drag on as he looked around hoping to see movement. "Let's move either way. We're just sitting ducks standing here." As the officer spoke he began gently pulling Haruko and Emiyn along with him towards where he thought the wagon was, ready to forcibly drag either or both if he needed to.

Kurio Palmonius

Activity: Panicking

Kurio had almost gained control of his breathing, be it still quickened, as Benton came into view. If Kurio had not been in the midst of a psychotic episode he would have recognized the man as friendly, and similar to him in his reclusive ways. But that was not the case, and his abnormal appearance was all that Kurio could make sense of before he heard the voices in his head begin to laugh, scream, and belittle him. The symptoms had not been this severe in years, but Kurio was a man of routines and this was no where near his normal day. "You fool! They brought you here to kill you. How did you not know this stitched together man wants your body. No one wants to be friends with a curse mage after all. Your only use to them is that of a dog. Now look at what's going to happen to you..." One of the voices began, yelling insult after condescending insult at Kurio. All he could manage to do was bring his hands to his ears and scream at the top of his lungs. "NO!" He flailed about on the ground, trying to kick away the monsters and demons in his head.

Benton turned to the boy and his strange outburst. " We've no time for this boy. Get up and get moving before you attract something we're entirely not prepared for." Benton said grabbing the boy by his collar and trying to pull him onto his feet. Benton did not need Kurio in this state. He wouldn't be of any use to the two of them like this. While he would love to just leave him in this mist he knew that Erika wouldn't abandon the boy.

The hound that Refara had sliced with in the shoulder didn't whimper but growled when its body jolted back a few paces. It barred its teeth, and red tongue. Flames of red and blue where licking against the wound that wasn't healing, however it stood back up again. An underworld beast seemed to have slightly better endurance compared to the mere goblins one would encounter.

With eyes glowing red again, it bounded back towards her, this time jumping higher and down in a spinning motion. Its spikes on its collar were now nothing more than a blur.

Emiyn didn't say anything more, while he kept his grip on Draena's arm. His arm was rather thick, in the muscular sense. Or that the prince's hand was too small. He kept a tight grip on the magic gems in his other palm, in case something had approached. He followed the man's footsteps blindly, always remaining half a step behind him. With the fog so thick, he had no perception of where they were, or how long time had passed. "This is very strange." he muttered, loud enough for the other two hear. "I would have thought we'd see the wagon, at least. Or the others calling for help... is this fog also messing with our other senses?".

For a while they kept walking, until up ahead, something dark and looming suddenly emerged. If they had walked a little closer, they would have realised, they reached the foot of the mountain, and before them, was one of the gates to Roselea. The very large wooden doors, were not locked. In fact, it was slightly ajar.

Emiyn's eyes widened. "Wh..what?" he could only say in a flabberghasted manner. He turned back, feeling oddly cold.

Erika jumped when Kurio suddenly yelled out a "No", with a rather tormented look on his face. What had happened? Before she could react, Benton had already grabbed him up. Though the girl did not know, Benton did judge one thing correctly, she wouldn't leave him there. Though there was another thought, another persona, that was tempted to just hurry and move on. "He's... right." she said, hoping that no conflict would happen between the two men. "We really should go, and look for the others. Or meet up in the city..." She only had one of her short swords with her, as Emiyn had the other with him. He wasn't likely to let her just wander around with less defenses so that they would find each other.

Benton carefully and quickly tied the string to the panicked bow then to himself before practically shoving the boy forward. " Come on. We've no time to coddle you boy." Benton said walking in the same direction. He expected Erika to attach herself to the string and follow. Benton had no sympathy for the boy or his affliction. Nor did he even have the patience to feign sympathy with this strange mist and unknown circumstance. Benton moved to the head of the group and lead the group toward the city.

{♪Peach♪}

Peach hadn't been heard or seen insome time now. Her blinds were shut and her home seemed lonely.

The girl was in her room on her bed, head on her knees. It was 27 degrees in the home but she didn't feel it. Peach had just finished feeding mittens and then throwing up yet again. Notices lay on a nightstand of overdue taxes and bills. She had been sitting there so long walking was like learning how to again and she had lost track of night and day.

Napoleon Adler

Location: Roselea

Time: Late afternoon

Activity: Confused

Interaction: N/A
Running water. The river stream.

It was the last thing he could remember when he woke up on the border of Roselea. Appearing in such a place with not much memory on the events that unfolded afterwards had certainly left the poor man feeling lost and confused. Napoleon Adler had just been a mere marketer, selling fish day in and day out. Maybe, occasionally helping his uncle out with catching fish. To be in the situation, and unfamiliar place he was in now, Napoleon was wary and bound to be frightened. How did he even get here in the first place? He must have bumped his head at some point, that could be the only logical reason he couldn't recall.

The fog that had suddenly rose around the city flashed into his mind.

The man turned on his heel, glancing back at the path he had came from. The fog here seemed lighter, he could see what was before him. "Huh," the word slipped by Napoleon's lips without much of a thought. The man had no idea whatsoever what to do. Where was he suppose to go? What was he suppose to do? The questions would seem to remain unanswered in this silence. In this cold, that Napoleon's body only just now seemed to register. The temperate hit the man's skin hard, his body not dealing particularly well with it. Proven by the way goosebumps arose on his skin and his arms began to shake accordingly. He didn't like this place one bit. If it were at all possible, Napoleon would have gone running home by now, like a cowardly dog with its tail between its legs. But, the fog would be thicker and he knew not of the path he can trailed to get to this place. He knew that he would just get lost more than he already was. Perhaps, he should make the attempt of finding someone around here. He was going to need help, Napoleon wouldn't get anywhere on his own. Rather, he would remain in the same spot for hours, maybe even days. The only thing that would make him move would be his fear or his hunger.

It seemed his current fear would lead Napoleon to begin walking. Foward. But then his legs stopped moving. Wait, what if the people he found wouldn't help him? What was he to do then?

Garrett Bolton Garrett watched as Refara tested the edge of his knife, noting with satisfaction that she deemed it acceptable. He honestly used the knife more for utility purposes than for combat but even so he made sure to keep it sharp. Even so, he was glad that it met her standards. He was about to comment something to that effect when he was interrupted by several red-eyed dogs, or were they wolves?, bursting out of the mist to attack the couple. Immediately following this the tall man heard Refara call out the positions of the beasts as she swung herself off of his shoulders in order to tackle and stab one that had been trying to get at her.
Garrett Bolton

However, Garrett didn't long pay attention to his girlfriend as he had foes of his own to deal with. Wasting no time the mercenary viciously backhanded the hound that was trying to bite his hip with his closed fist, the spikes on his gauntlets tearing into its flesh and leaving deep gouges as the unfortunate creature was taken off its feet to tumble away. In doing so he turned his back to the other hound that was attacking him, allowing it to pounce on top of him, trying to bite at his neck.

Moving quickly Garrett reached up and, twisting violently, threw the hound over his shoulder and onto the ground before him. Then, without giving it time to get back up, the man kneeled down and grabbed its jaws with both hands and pried them apart, causing the bones to snap with a sickening crunching noise before slamming the hound's head into the ground so as to crack its skull.

With that done the crimson-eyed man stood back up in order to face the other hound. As he did so a broad, bloodthirsty grin spread across his face and his eyes, likely through some trick of the light, almost seemed to glow in a similar manner to those of the beasts he fought.

Senki Tazuya
Senki smiled and gently kissed Yuki's forehead as she said she'd protect her too. She was really cute a sweet, a stark contrast to when they first met. Well, she was still cute, but she wasn't exactly that kind. While, she wouldn't of exactly minded if something like that had happened to her, it was completely obvious that Yuki just wasn't that kind of girl; whether it was her or someone else. She giggled at what she said last as she agreed to continuing their little walk. "
Likewise cutie." She replied, giggling a bit more before turning to lead her through the forest, still holding her hand. She still couldn't help but think she'd met Yuki before, even before she 69'd her in the middle of the street. She had been thinking about it the past few days but still couldn't shake the feeling she did. Oh well..she was sure it'd come to her sooner or later. "I'm surprised..I haven't seen the forest this peaceful in forever. It's kind of nice..but still makes you wonder where the monsters went. Oh well..I'm sure they aren't nearby, they would've tried to attack us already." She told her, though moreso commenting idly.
Yuki shut her red eyes as Senki leaned in and gave her a kiss on the head. It looked like her comment had made the white haired girl a little happy, which was a great thing. The happiness of her girlfriend was much more important than her own, or that's what she thought. Senki probably thought the complete opposite, that Yuki's happiness was more important than her own. When called a cutie she couldn't help but blush and glance away from her lover, the name calling rather embarrassing. She was used to being called Miss, or Guard, or Soldier, not cutie or lovely. It'd definetly take some getting used to. "Whatever, let's just get going." She muttered, wanting to get a move on.

She followed behind Senki hand in hand through the forest, silently taking everything in. The forest was a nice escape from everything, and she wanted to stay here for a long time and forget about all of the monsters. Unfortunately the situation kept being brought up, and it would probably never leave her alone.
"I doubt there will be any monsters out here. And if there are then they were here long before they invaded the tower. I bet the scariest thing we will run into is a bear, and that's pretty rare." She said, glancing around for any other signs of life. However bears would soon be the least of their worries. As if on que a dense, sudden fog rolled through the woods, sending bad vibes and chills through her body. While serving on the wall Yuki had been in different combat situations and developed a heightened danger sense due to that, and right now her danger senses were off the charts. There was something sinister in the fog, and they needed to get back and warn the group. "Senki, this isn't some natural fog. We need to get back to the carriage right now. Be on high alert..." She warned, drawing her sword and walking back in what she believed the way they came.

________________________

Ikari could feel her heart beating in her chest, every pump giving her that little extra motivation to keep running and not look back, every breath felt somewhat smothered by the mysterious fog that had appeared just as suddenly as whatever creature had just attacked her, it was a blur of images and then a shiver she'd felt as the dark outline of the inhuman form had appeared within the fog, she could make out no face more features of them and turned to quickly to have even remembered that blurry shape by this point, something about their very presence had sent only a singular thought to her brain, run.

As her sprint finally came to a long desired halt she found herself digging the tip of her swords blade into the forests soil, leaning on it slightly for support after having almost instinctively whipped it out incase whatever- 'that' was had managed to catch up, though thankfully it seemed she'd lost it in the clouded landscape. Her appearance was still that of a red-headed girl with eyes a light green, almost yellow in colour and pale complexion her clothes however after having maintained the illusion for such an extent of time along with her lack of focus in the hurried escape had made her actual clothing, or rather uniform appear upon her, seeming somewhat 'unfitting' for the girls otherwise looks. Just as she lifted the swords blade and re-shealthed it by her side the sound of voices not far off could be heard, having been lost in thought she'd only just caught onto it now, The voices, however were not what had made her attention be snapped back into place but rather the loud scream heard only a few moments earlier causing the girl to stand up straight as if lining up for inspection and innocently glance around somewhat dazed.

This dazed state did not last however as her expression soon turned to one of suspicion and alert, it had been months since any new travellers had come to Roselea, her hand found its way back to the swords hilt as she paced forward carefully, posture straight and as if serving in an army, eyes darting around the place though all she could see was fog, soon she came to the realisation that in this fog she might as well have been walking in circles trying to track down this odd group, slowly she made her way to the ground, placing a hand on the soil and closing her eyes, feeling for any sort of vibration on the surface, a footstep, a scuffle, anything and sure enough she felt the small vibrations of feet hitting the ground, one significantly heavier than the others giving her the thought that there must've been an older person accompanying the screaming boy and higher, more feminine voice she'd heard.

She stood up and went back to hesitantly pacing forward, squinting in an attempt to see through the mist and hand above eyes on forehead as if searching for something in the distance as she bumped directly into a member of the group, the youngest and smallest of them, a small girl though admittedly not significantly smaller than the rather short-statured Ikari herself, stumbling backwards a step she stared blankly at the group, a small girl, a-
'odd' looking older man and who she presumed to be the boy who screamed earlier…. Not exactly the most threatening bunch however Ikari still took up a stance as though ready to attack and glared at all three of them, "State your business! What are you doing here?…." She asked as if interrogating the group, though her appearance not all that threatening as she stuttered slightly on the last word as if trying to remember the line as though it were something she should've memorised but forgot to.

Senki Tazuya

Senki couldn't help but silently giggle at how embarrassed Yuki got over her calling her cute. It was adorable really and only served to make her want to say it more. She was really happy to finally get some alone time with her. Not that everyone else wasn't great and all, but still getting some alone time with your girlfriend was great. She could tell however she was getting a little annoyed by the fact of her mentioning monsters and such. She nodded in agreement at her response, "Yeah, you're probably right. Still makes ya wonder though." She replied before shrugging. It was honestly as if all the monsters ever just up and died to something or someone. It wasn't right, it wasn't natural. But it had clearly happened, or at-least something had. Monsters wouldn't just up and abandon their home for no reason. While simple-minded they weren't necessarily stupid.

She had little time to comment further before a wall of fog rolled in. Even before Yuki said something she could tell something was up. You didn't become a professional monster hunter by not second guessing a lot of things. And she knew for a fact random fog was not natural in the slightest. She nodded and drew her hand blade when Yuki drew her own weapon and told her to be on high alert. "Leave it to something to happen right when we say nothing would." She told her before sighing heavily as she followed her. Something wasn't right though, despite them walking in the direction of the others they seemed to be passing by the same dumb old trees multiple times over. "Yuki..something isn't right, we're going in circles." She said, looking over at her. "Or at-least in some kinda loop."

Blood and growls were in the air when Garrett suddenly collided the fist into the flesh of one of the underworld beasts. There was a choking sound, though there was no nasty bone-crunching. Perhaps it had been a normal hound it would have its bones shattered. It was sent flying away a few distances, and shakingly got up.

Within an instant the body of the hellhound with the jaws ripped dropped to the floor like a heavy sac. Patches of grass became red and there was a howling in the air. Beyond in the mist, more pairs of red eyes appeared, and soon there was rustling from the bush. The air now had a low humming sound from the low growls of about five more hellhounds. One of them stepped over the two corpses, daring the two mercenaries to venture further. Within the fog, it was hard to tell how many there were.

They haven't moved any further, as if daring them to continue challenging, or perhaps head in the direction towards where their commanding officer was.

It was rather quiet. Even though Roselea wasn't as busy as Iafern the capital city of Erminia, the gate looked rather dark and forlorn. "Where are the people...?" he muttered to himself, before walking past Draena and Haruko to slip through the gate. It wasn't even shut. The guards were certainly not here then, if the gate wasn't even shut for the evening. He peered into the street, where it was an area with less shops. It seemed rather deserted. Down his spine, Emiyn felt a chill when he saw how some houses seemed to have been broken into with their broken doors and shattered windows. Even if there were no corpses, he wrapped his jacket up a little closer. Roselea was colder than he had imagined.

"I... think we should head to one of my homes first." he said, pointing in the direction where the villa is. Hopefully either of them would agree. He didn't feel safe with only 16 magic gems on him, and was getting a little desperate in wanting to see if there were any there. "If we see anyone else on the way... that would be good."

Erika followed, keeping close to Benton and Kurio. She would have thought of grabbing Kurio by the wrist, but his eyes looked so fragile that he might just yell and panic again from someone touching him.

The foggy environment seemed to have lessened their hearing senses as they continued walking towards the direction where Roselea supposedly would be. From within the fog, emerged a girl with flaming-red hair. Erika almost jumped in surprise when she suddenly appeared. The girl took an offensive stance like a guard about to attack them. "Wait!" she said, hurriedly getting in front of two men, waving her arms around a little in a half-flustered or fearful manner. In the heat of the moment, she hadn't gotten a proper look at whether this girl was a guard or not. "We're travellers. We need to Roselea." she said. She didn't mention about Emi and the others though. "Are you... from there?"

Ikari stared at the girl with an untrusting gaze, her fingers still delicately grasping the hilt of her blade, though the sudden arm waving and statement made her ease-up a little, her hand moving from the blade as her stance changed to that of one standing up straight in a disciplined manner, still looking rather like an aloof guard. She raised an eyebrow slowly before mumbling, "Travellers?…. no one has come up here for months…." To herself as if still trying to analyse the situation in some manner. She soon nodded, "Roselea? Yes, I currently reside in there if that's what you're intending to ask~…." She mumbled, stating it in quite an odd manner despite a simple 'yes' being more than adequate, "Now in return may I ask why a small girl, an old man and a screaming boy are walking through a fog filled forrest with no escort or other members? Seems like a silly idea to me~…. You're gonna get yourself lost- Or worse." She soon added, she didn't hesitate on her words nor stutter but something about how she said them seemed somewhat awkward.

Benton scoffed his hand still holding a sheathed hunting knife. They were close to their destination alright. Benton could tell that without this 'guard' making such comments. "Oh you know, we figured we go out for a stroll and see if we couldn't find any dead bodies in the mist." Benton said his sarcasm dripping from every word. He could already make out the silhouette of a town... or maybe a forest. At any rate he could see shapes which was better than the mist and grass he had been seeing.

She shuffled backwards a little more in the direction of the younger female as she went back to a more refined look, "Well then, I presume you're not trying to head into the forrest to your left then?…. If you're looking for Roselea change your direction and walk that way for a bit, it shouldn't be far considering I came from just her the get a- while ago…." She replied, gesturing in the general direction through the fog to the side a bit, her thoughts once again heading to the outline of whatever had attacked her before, just what was that thing? Rosella had been empty lately, that and hungry but there hadn't been whatever that was- Well, it was a thought that could be left for later, right now she was still on a quest to discover why exactly this odd group was huddled together over here, admittedly still behind the child of the group for some sort of protection against the older man.

{♪Peach♪}

{♪Peach♪}

Peach was awoken by a mewling mittens. She sighed as she petted the soft kitten who was snug in her breasts. "Look Mittens... I don't need help." The kitten seemed to roll her eyes before she got out from her fleshy blanket (struggling a tiny bit) before she hopped down onto the bed, fluffing her for out against the cold. Peach watched as Mittens then padded off and sat inside her purse. "Mittens..." Peach began before she tutted and tried to stand, grimacing as her ligaments became stretched as she then walked a bit before grabbing her purse and she opened the door to the outside world.

Peach sucked in air as the light, though dim from clouds and what seemed like dense fog, tore at her pupils as she squinted. Mittens hid inside the purse and in a few minutes, Peach was adjusted to the light but not the heat.

She was sweating like a fountain as she shut her door. She also was getting used to walking again so she fell a few times, Mittens mewling for her to not give up.

After a time was spent Peach noticed no one was even out. It made her shake as she knew something was wrong. Looking about she saw she was at the market but she was the only one there save Mittens and some rats. It was there she stopped and leaned against a wooden pole to catch her breath. why is no one out? Where are they all?' She asked herself as she suddenly felt watched.

"C-come on out whoever is out t-there!" Peach called out into the fog as she bit the inside of her cheek, a sign she was nervous or uncomfortable as she awaited a response.

Gin

Clanging of metal like keys could be heard through the area. Foot steps followed these noises, and a man wearing robes as well as a straw hat seemed to be the source of these sounds. He wasn't sure where he was, nor was he certain of what was going on in this place. All he knew was that great evil was here, although that was pretty obvious by the pack of viscous demonic mutts chasing the man. He screamed as he ran away from the his staff in hand."Daaammmiiittt!! Why must the gods curse me this day! Someone help me!!" He yelled as he ran from the hell hounds. Normally he could have taken them, but he wasn't trying to speak all day fighting them off. He needed his energy after all, and he slowly began to lose the hell hounds as he ran through the fog covered city. Eventually stopping, and taking in deep breaths in order to recover."I...hate....this.. so much, could someone please assist me? I'm lost, and don't know my way around this god forsaken place!" Gin roared slamming his staff on the ground angrily.

Not too far from the town square, Gin was listening to Cider talking about his recent encounter with another human about an hour earlier. He was still in the illusion disguise as a middle-aged man, known as "Leonard", one of the curse mages in Roselea previously. Gin nodded every now and then as the two walked, though she didn't look too amused.

"That aside..." Cider said, thinking carefully. "The hellhounds have found some of the travelers wandering. A few have entered Roselea now. It won't be long before they are all trapped, as Gula had directed."

"You haven't killed any.. I hope?" Gin said, inspecting a shop's broken sign that was currently on their left. Hearing Cider's negative comment, she gave a nod of approval. "Good. We'll leave it the humans themselves to do that."

The other still had the confused look like a few nights ago, when Gula had first warned his servants and stewards to leave the humans to fight themselves. The little girl, seeing his look merely giggled. "I'm afraid you're thinking in a rather naive manner, Cider, if you had thought reasoning or persuasion would have helped. The last thing they need is a common enemy. Think about it, if they did, those distasteful enough to have 'virtues' of a hero would be reasoning with the others to work together. "

Her words stopped when there was a yell from not far, most likely a masculine voice. There's an energetic one lost around here. Judging by how most of the starved people were not here, he was likely to be another recent wanderer. "I'm going to take a look," Gin said, adding a skip to her steps as she walked two paces ahead of Cider.

@GoldenChari @Solemn Jester

By the time Gin and Cider had reached the eastern side of the square, the voice seemed to have quietened down. Not too far, she could see there was a girl, with something small squirming in her arms. An animal. That wasn't one of the faces she had seen earlier in the fights. "Good evening, madam," Gin said, walking up to her. "You've been trapped here for a while as well?"

Behind her, followed along a middle-aged man, or rather, Cider in the guise of "Leonard".

Mittens ducked into the purse again as she wasn't keen to strangers seeing her. "N-no. I just came out of my home a hour ago." Peach saw the fog dissapate and noted the rats were thin. "I haven't seen you two around have i?" She asked, looking at the girl. "My name is Peach. What are yours? And do you k-know where everyone is...?" She asked cautiously.

They seemed off to her for a odd reason. Maybe because Mittens had immidiatly vanished into her bag. 'The fog is... Gone? Could they have anything to do with it in the first place? And there seems to be no food for even those dirty rats...' Peach questioned as she awaited a response. She'd hope they wouldn't come close, especially the man. He gave her the most chills and she had due reason to be uncomfortable around any man.

Emiyn Devereaux

Location: within the fog

Time: late afternoon?

Activity: lost

Emiyn Devereaux

Location: Roselea gate

Time: late afternoon

Activity: entering city

Erika LeBlanc

The snow-haired girl made a innocent smile ear to ear in much the same way one might smile to a newborn or a kitten, but this smile was simply because she had driven her dagger deep into the neck of the Bloodhound. Unfortunately even as she yanked Garrett's utility knife back out she was greeted with no gush of blood or limp body. The creature's wound only licked strange coloured flames.

Refara's smile completely faded to something akin to fear if the girl had the emotional range to feel it. The psychotic Killer watched it jump before spinning and aiming down towards her, gasping as she narrowly rolled and avoided the attack but only just, scrambling to get to her feet with the knife blade still held low. She turned in time to witness Garrett spread one creatures jaw wide but again no blood...her face paling significantly as she stepped backwards more towards Gary and away from the corpses. Eventually she was standing before him and took one more step back to land her back into his front, one foot sliding between his in a defensive stance.

"These....things, these hounds.... they aren't flesh and blood Garry...." she whispered, watching more and more pairs of eyes appear, guarding, preventing them from moving in that direction.

"....I can't do this without my Scythe.." looking visibly shaken and a tremour working her frame once more. Felt no doubt through his front.

Either the cat was afraid of another stranger, or Cider's presence wasn't completely hidden from the cat. Simply how easily the girl was willing to give her name almost made Cider cough. It seemed that they were dealing with another naive one. Gin merely smiled up at her, like a normal 7-year-old girl, and did a small curtsy. "Peach, nice to meet you." she said. "My name is Gin. I don't believe I've seen you around here, either, though we're both residents in this city." She said, recalling about the girl saying she had just left her home not too long ago. Though in truth, she would have seen most of the people's faces already. She just couldn't remember except for the few that she wanted to eat next. She lifted a petit hand to point to the 'man' behind her. "This is Leonard. He's a curse mage from the western district." She noticed there was a look of wariness from Peach's eyes when it laid upon Cider, but she didn't comment on it.

Meanwhile Cider had been onto the question about where "everyone" was. "Do you mean where the others around this neighbourhood are?" he asked in a curt tone that Leonard would have. He shook his head. "There's many hiding underground. Others are still searching for resources around here. Weren't you doing the same?"

Peach smiled at Gin. "Nice to meet you." Then This Leonard fellow spoke up. "No i just came out... My kitten needed fresh air. That's all. I must have been indoors for days." The cold had turned her skin a bit blue and it was slick with sweat.

"It seems you both are busy though." Mittens was shaking ever so slightly. "I'll be going then..." Peach then slowly walked off, her legs weak from her recent venture of no walking.

In truth that man really made Peach feel wrong. She didn't think he was so bad though due to him having the girl, Gin, with him. Then she remembered ,Curse mage, And she went just a bit faster into a ally and to another market area. 'Grandma Appleine had mentioned Mages who used curses had to have commited a sin right....?' Peach thought. Whoever they were, she knew that Leonardo wasn't a good person.

'So is Gin bad too? I feel bad for her being with such a dangerous man but i can't do anything. Not after..." Mittens licked the side of her arm, mewling. Peach petted her. "Thanks. You really are helpful my sweet kitty." Peach exhaled. 'Without Mittens i woulda broke down. Glad she can sense when something's up.' Peach leaned on a wall, petting Mittens on the head, hoping she wasn't followed.
