The story begins in the early 2020s, as December 31st, Year 2020 was the start of the war between the normal and the paranormal. Just as the western world was celebrating the eve of the New Year, they attacked with numbers as well as shock and awe. The nations of the world immediately concluded that the enemy was unlike any they have faced before. Monstrosities such as the dead rising from their graves, hellish beasts terrorizing the populations, and even otherworldly soldiers plundering and pillaging the urban area. Nobody fully knew where they were coming from. All that was known was that they were hostile.
In regards to the individual nations, all attempts to form their own forces to deal with the crises eventually failed spectacularly one way or another. While Earth's technology provided some solace, it wasn't enough. Not even nuclear weaponry stopped the horrrors in their tracks. A clandestine meeting between representatives of the wealthiest and most powerful nations concluded that the enemy was also attempting to isolate and eliminate humanity's forces one by one. With no alternative or sure remedy, on August 1st, 2021, humanity formed a new line of defense.
This line of defense would be called the Paranormal Combat Project or ParaCom for short. As the last line of defense for all of humanity, the fate of the human race has been placed in the organization's hands. With heavy investments from the entire globe, ParaCom has access and privy to the finest soldiers, science, and engineering that could be provided. It was up to them to bring the fight to the malignant aggressors.
Putting it crudely: Paranormal/supernatural creatures invade Earth, fight back!
