Fantasy Pantheon Infinite

The large god knelt down beside her. Barely any mortals seemed interested in what was happening. A few turned their heads, but some were shocked with the bloodlust that had overtaken them and stopped completely in their walk.

Hoenir picked up the Norse goddess, trying his hardest to get away from the crowd unnoticed. Most people were unconcerned with whatever Hoenir looked to be doing as he hid within an alleyway and opened a portal to the only place he would get answers. Asgard. He stepped through, taking Aesa with him.

The Watcher waved his hand. In and instant New York churned again. And as soon as it began it was over. The confused citizens looked around until they realized they all had things they needed to be doing. It was a Tuesday, and before 5 o'clock. Everyone was busy now, it was how things simply worked.one could not worry themselves with the unknown, instead they must simply focus on what they know. Such was the way of the Big Apple and all of humanity and they began again. Undeterred by this point of panic. The Watcher, however, was unamused. He looked to where the two went. He would let Hoenir answer for his foolish brother's interruption. Next time, however, was a very different story. Past, present, future. Happened, is happening, will happen. The tense mattered not to him, for all of time and every action was laid bare before him.

HECATE| Goddess of the Moon, Magic and Witchcraft

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hecate had been watching the exchanging of words carefully. She had recognised the name, Loki. He was unparalleled in his abilities to cause mischief and mayhem; maybe even more so than her. She watched as he moved gracefully, like a jungle cat toying with its prey; everything about the god divided Hecate's allegiances. She was confident that she would aid Nyx if Loki were to attack, but she wasn't so sure that she wouldn't align herself with him if he asked. The power coming from him was delicious, invigorating and incessant. It was flowing through her like a strangulating toxin, consuming every god-endowed cell within her body.

Loki selected a chalice of wine and looked up. "Hello." he nodded to Hecate. "Everyone, please, come in." he said. "It's been quite a while since I've had guests." Loki sipped his wine, then looked at Zeus. "So you've come to me with your daughter and a goddess I do not know? Why is this?" He shifted his glance back to Nyx, as if he expected her to answer.

Nyx herself had taken a step back from Loki, who had taken a step closer to her. He has no inkling of personal space... she thought. She shivered, seeing that his eyes had not left her. What is this? she asked, her cheeks feeling hot.

Zeus looked over at the two goddesses who accompanied him, both of them staring at Loki. What the hell? Zeus thought ass he looked to the trickster. "Well I didn't come here so you could make them giddy," he said sighing. "I doubt you care but the gods are missing for the most part."

Hearing this made Loki bring his gaze to Zeus. "Oh, I know they are. It's about time." he took another sip. "Ever since my exile I've been looking forward to the disbanding of the gods and the fall of Asgard." he gave Zeus a sincere look.

"But if the gods disband, the order will be undone...I will not be able to hold back Chaos..." Nyx said absently. Loki chuckled. "You say it like it's a bad thing." he set his drink down. "Is perpetual chaos really a bad thing? I think it's fun. I embody Chaos, and I'm no dud."he leaned in close to Nyx. "Do you doubt me? I could show you." Nyx narrowed her eyes. "Take a step back before I rip your arm off and beat you with it." she growled. Loki laughed. "Fiery AND cute!"

The Watcher, clearly tired of this fanservice coughed politely. "I think we have enough lady boners now from the marvel fangirls not to mention how much fanservice Hecate brings, so let's bring it full circle unless we somehow want to incorporate the yaoi fangirls which I personally would rather us not do as we would already have hit the low before the events even started." One might wonder how he had not chosen to break the fourth wall, like some do, but instead to run a fucking bulldozer into it at full speed.

Loki laughed at this new character. "Now that is FUNNY!" he leaned against the wall. "I like you." he smiled. "But as you already know, here I am until Asgard falls. When that happens, I will free my sons Fenrir and Jormungundr to launch a full scale attack on the entirety of Yggdrasil and beyond." he then scratched the back of his head. "I AM the bringer of Ragnorok."

Nyx again desired to bring her hand across Watcher's face, only this time with enough force to actually send his jaw spiraling into the other hall. She absolutely loathed the way he spoke...it was vulgar and crude, not to mention disrespectful to her and Hecate. She could already tell Hecate was getting something from Loki's presence, but Nyx? No. She hated how Loki acted and spoke of the Apocalypse like it was a party. She audibly hissed in frustration.

The Watcher shrugged at Loki. "I know you like me cause we both think your dear old dad can't stop eating penis long enough to realize how little he is actually needed. That and I've already had this conversation, and been through Ragnarok that you started, and seen everything really" The Watcher sighed. "He's now taken the sport of killing mortals. I question if his ethics are truly better than yours or if he's just pretending to be a good guy only to hide the mask that the fact of the matter is you are what you eat."

The worst part about the rune-forced slumber was the waking up. It was always so disorienting. There was the dizziness- the whole world didn't spin exactly. It was more like it wavered and wobbled all around her even though she knew she was still. There was the nausea. Her stomach was uncomfortable, like she needed to vomit, but she knew she wouldn't.

As Aesa swam forcefully towards wakefulness, the light that filtered through her closed eyelids hurt. She tried to open them, but she couldn't manage just yet. Slowly, she became aware of the actual motion- a rise and fall and sway. It was the feel of someone walking and breathing. As soon as she became aware of this panic surged through her, strong enough that even Hoenir would feel it. She shoved at him until he dropped her and she landed on the ground painfully.

Blinking her now open eyes against the light, she tried to make sense of her surroundings, but it didn't make sense.

No matter how intoxicating Loki's magical presence was, Hecate forced herself to stop feeding on it. Though it proved to be everything she'd been lacking, she couldn't help but wonder if this was his plan. The majority of his attention was on Nyx but neither of them were paying enough mind to Hecate; was Loki somehow affecting her? Hecate attempted to release the hold Loki's magic had taken but it was futile, she could feel what was previously pleasurable turn cold.

Hoenir shot back from her, sharing her fear. It made his heart pound violently in his chest until he took a deep breath. He wanted to console Aesa, but he wasn't quite sure how to do it. The floor of Asgard was cold under his clothes as he decided to sit on the floor beside her. He watched her, silently, with a solemn look on his face.

Deep breaths and her confusion over where she was pushed aside the panic and she finally let her eyes land on Hoenir. Her eyes, icy but clear, not affected by her own magic. Her eyebrows rose almost to her hairline under her hood, her eyes wide. She didn't remember meeting him before it all went dark.

"Hoe- Hoenir? I- wha..." Words truly failed her in that moment and she looked around her again as she shifted into a sitting position, cross-legged, and rubbed her head. She took in the bleak landscape of Asgard and it had been so long since she'd last been here that she barely recognized the place. It didn't help that all the sunshine and green seemed to have been leeched out of the place. "Did- Odin succeed?"

Hoenir shakes his head, a slight smile on his face. He had always been fond of Aesa, as he had been fond of her mother, so seeing her returned to herself brought a small amount of joy to him.

But the joy quickly passed on to concern. He wanted to ask her if she was okay, if she was wounded and needed help, but words eluded him. He showed the concern on his face openly, hoping she would understand what he was trying to convey.

Nyx spun to The Watcher and bared her teeth. "You are not mortal, and I don't care how long you've lived among them. You'll never be one of them, no matter how much you wish to be. So I suggest you stop speaking in such a foul way before I rip your tongue out." she fumed, and took a step forward. "Some call me "The Dog of Olympus" mainly because I will always fight for my Father and his hall of gods, but YOU." she pointed at The Watcher. "You really do bring out the animal within me."

Loki looked at Nyx with an expression an adult gives a child when they have a tantrum, then grinned. Loyalty. He then looked at Hecate. Hmm. I have two very powerful goddesses AND the King of Olympus AND Time itself in my own home. he chuckled at his thought. What fun I could have. Especially with this one. He rest his eyes on Nyx. Raw energy and nothing to do with it. My favorite.

Persephone sat in her room, locked away as always while Hades did his dirty work. The dead were spewing in like maggots and she was sick of it! She waited for the time when she was allowed to walk amongst the mortals or visit the others she missed dearly. She cursed and stood up from her bed, her long trailing black dress making a shooshing sound as it dragged along the ground. If it wasnt for her father Zeus she wouldnt be here. No matter how childish it seemed she wouldnt forgive him easily. She wasnt happy here and she did not love Hades. With all the fury rising up in her sh called one of her servants in, "I need you to keep Hades from my chambers whilst i'am gone. But before that I need you to take me to the place where everyone is meeting up immediately" She wasnt ever used to ordering people around but this was important with all the disappearances lately and she needed to be around others. The servant nodded and bowed and soon she was standing in area of Antarctica where Loki took his home.

She was never very good at reading other people- it was a side effect of always being so wrapped up with her own emotions and trying to keep them in check. She didn't notice Hoenir's concern at first. No, she had buried her face in her hands even as she started to sob. She hadn't done it. She hadn't hurt anyone! She let herself revel in her relief for only a few short seconds before wiping at her eyes with the back of her hands and looking again to Hoenir.

"I didn't- do anything to try and hurt you, right? You know I can't stop myself when it gets bad like that. How were you able to stop it- me? Did Odin call us here?" She spoke quickly and without pause, nervous and even a little pleased to see Hoenir now that she wasn't, you know, trying to create a bloodbath. At the final mention of Odin, Aesa turned her still wide eyes to their surroundings yet again, scanning quickly as if the mention of him would bring Odin in an instant.

Suddenly, Zeus felt another presence in the area. A goddess he knew very well and one he was glad to feel still here. His daughter Persephone was here with them most likely on the other side of the door. He was having fun watching his Nyx explode at the watcher who seemed to set her off more than anyone ever had. Yet, he knew that this had to stop. he walked over and put his hand on her shoulder. "Nyx...forget him we have work to do. Also," he turned to loki "get another cup of tea we have another guest."

Hoenir shakes his head, before noticing where Aesa is turned. He looks off where her eyes point, raising an eyebrow. He smiles a little, holding back a small laugh. Mentioning his brother always did make him appear out of nowhere. He had intelligence everywhere. Hoenir himself was proof. He dug his notepad out of his pocket again, the urge to speak with Aesa overwhelming him, "I'm glad you're alright." He wrote, putting it on the floor before her to read.

Persephone lifted her long silken gown and walked to the door, she knocked gently and felt many others beyond this door. That which one she knew but hadnt felt in a long long time. She wondered if her anger would ever fade, he was her father after all but he had given her to Hades. She awaited for someone to open the door and enjoyed the feeling of the cool air on her skin while she could before returning to the literal hell hole.

Nyx looked back at Zeus, and nodded. "Forgive me." she said to him, then shot a glare at Watcher. "I suppose I'm not used to such behavior." she spat.

Loki waved his hand so that a hot cup of tea formed on the cart. "Oh goodie! I love getting guests." he said slyly. Zeus is a trigger... he thought, then looked to The Watcher. Him too. Then Hecate. Her? Slightly. And a new guest? Things might be starting to look up to me. Perhaps I am, for once, in the favor of The Norns. Loki waved his hand and opened the door for his new guest, almost seconds from when they knocked.

Persephone was only slightly startled when the door opened but she walked in with the grace and aura that the queen of the Underworld should have, "Good evening everyone..Its a pleasure to be with you all again." She nodded and looked at who was all here and there he was just like she knew, her father Zeus. But she would be calm today and respectful. She noticed many here but some were new faces to her.

Aesa pulled her knee's up to her chest before looking down at the small notepad. The tips of her slender fingers pressed on the edges of the paper as she pulled it a little closer to read, and she smiled. Somehow, though it was not new information, Aesa had forgotten that Hoenir didn't speak. It amused her now, a little.

"I'm always alright. In the end. Hoenir, why did you bring us here?" She'd never mastered the art of portal making. She was too emotional, her thoughts too erratic. No, she'd always had to rely on Heimdal in the past, Heimdal and Bifrost. Some way in the distance, a loud shout of annoyance could be heard. It might not have been Odin. But it might have been. It was hard to tell with the way sound traveled.

Looking to the door, Nyx smiled. "Ah, hello Persephone!" she called. It had been ages since she had seen her 'sister'. Seeing her pretty pale face made Nyx's anger lower, but only slightly.

Loki scanned this new one, this goddess called Persephone. A very mixed aura. He thought. There's barrier and possessive magic about her...best I leave her be...

Hoenir glanced off in the direction of the noise, waving his hand to increase the volume. He listened while jotting down his answer on the paper. "I didn't know where else to go. You needed help."

As the voice's volume was increased, Hoenir could easily hear his brother approaching. He wondered if he was aware of them. He most likely was as he'd caught one of his ravens checking up on him multiple times in the past and no doubt was watching as one of his three brothers was traveling to different worlds on and off.

It took a few seconds for Odin to arrive, a golden cape following behind him, almost as if his pride sat on his shoulders. He didn't look happy to see them, but Hoenir couldn't remember the last time his brother had been happy to see him in the first place. He stopped in front of them, glaring down. Hoenir figured he was wondering why two gods were sitting on the floor like peasants and got to his feet, offering his hand to Aesa.

"Brother. Aesa. Why have you returned?" He hisses, folding his large arms over each other.
