Accelerate Do they have some kind of big spectator sport? (Like in the US we have football very much a part of hs culture) And cheerleaders and the like? Or some sort of equivalent?

Edit: Also do they have some sort of high school dance equivalent? Like Homecoming or prom?

I think it's supposed to be this test on how they would react in a battlefield? Idk. That's just my two cents.

I chatted with Accelerate about this all in private messages. I had only glanced over the other character sheets - more or less skipped over some of the ones with fancier buttons. As such, I actually missed yours. I just now read it. She seems like a wonderfully made character.

I'm also in the process of making a teacher, as well as likely a third character. Thoth and his son.

I hope that won't cause issues?

I have no reason to lie about it. I'm amused, to be honest. It means we both have similar opinions about Persephone and what her offspring would be like.

I even LOOKED to make sure there were no Persephone or Hades kids yet, but that ctrl-f thing doesn't work with the fancy bbcode, apparently.

Haha if I ever make my Ereshkigal character (unlikely bc juggling 3 characters is 2 much 4 my lazy ass) it will definitely take more from the edgy Queen of the Underworld aspect lol

I mean it's up to you as the creator, but I think that she has some aspects of her personality which aren't as similar to Chloe (like how she's stubborn / opinionated), so go more in that direction so there's less overlap, or something like that ;;

I suppose so. Once I'm done making Thoth and his kid, I may very well go back and edit her. I'm just concerned about going too deep into her backstory. She's very young, for one, but also, I don't entirely know how GM wants to play her. Like I mentioned, I want to leave that open for her to do as she will.

That said, I could always fluff it up a bit with anecdotes, I guess.

Look I get you wanna be able to fit in a character smoothly, but the best way to do that is to take time to read all characters, make sure you find your niche, because it's not a gm's job to do that. And as a GM myself I am well aware that it makes it so much easier on the roleplay if the writers take up their own part and find ways to make things work within the outline of the world that is given.

As I said I'm all for having more sheltered characters, but if it is so similar it just ends up rubbing the wrong way. Accidental or not. And you have to at least be able to acknowledge that

I acknowledge that it is rubbing you the wrong way... however, I'm not dissatisfied. Even now. I think that the two being of the same mom is possibly really juicy and interesting! Hades... he's really loyal, but Persephone? There's a lot in the writing that shows her to take a bit more from good 'ol Zeus. She's definitely the sort to play around a bit. Depending on how you want to play it, and if we talk about how well they know each other, if they know each other at all, it could be awesome.

Ah, I think that the GM has left a lot up to us in terms of how we want to play the characters, as long as they don't break the world, so I think it's okay if you want to plan stuff like that out. ^ ^;

I think the main points are that they are both shy and sheltered characters who grew up overprotected, so altering one of those aspects will help to make Kore more distinct. I think that's what the crux of the issue is, not so much that they share a parent, perhaps.

Do note that I never said Persephone is mine and mine alone. I won't make such assumptions and the possibility for halfsiblings is intriguing. I'm just really sad I wasn't given the respect of having my character being read.
