Way back in the day, I used to play a lot of Battletech. That has a decent level of realism in its mech creation rules.

Sadly, there is just no in game mechanism to customize the mecha. I could try to add something in, but it would be all made up on the spot.

Hmm, so specializing in upgrading and customizing mecha wouldn't be as good?

Hmm, the character concept was supposed to be akin to Billy Katagiri in skills and party role, so I'm just a bit disappointed.

We are in the early stages of character selection to get the game started. Are you familiar with the Robotech storyline at all?


In the game forum I have a bunch of info posted to look over, including a bunch of pre made characters for those that don't have a copy of the books.

Ok I am not familar with it but i'd love to learn. I think i will try to make my own character but if it doesn't work i will take a pre made one

The core rulebook that we are using is the 2e Shadow Chronicles Robotech book, and it can be downloaded as a pdf from 4shared.com. If you do find it and want to make your own sheet, make sure that you can fly one of the three kinds of veritech fighters. Stat rolls are done using 4d6, taking the top three dice. If they total 16-18, you add in another d6. If that fourth die is also a 6, you roll another d6, making it possible to have a starting score of 30 before any skill bonuses.

I have something like twelve or so characters made up in the Neutral Characters tab. Each one is ready to go, you just need a name and some personal info in them.
