Moss relaxed as well, shifting so that Isa can be comfortable. For a long moment they stayed that way, his touches becoming more soothing, the way he would lull Isa to sleep. He hugged him tight. "I feel better now. Was there anything else you wanted to say or do tonight before we sleep, Isa?"

Comfortable, Isa was lulled by Moss’ soothing touches. Barely able to stay awake as he drowsily nuzzle the merman’s collarbone with his cheek or gingerly rub his thumbs on Moss’ arms. “Hm?” He blinked his now indigo colored eyes open as Moss squeezed him tight, yawning a bit.

”. . . No. I’m tired of thinking.” He mumbled, leaning up to look at Moss’ face with tired eyes. “Is there anything ya wanna do before we sleep?”

"Yes." he hugged Isa very tight, humming. Then he cradled his head dearly to his chest. "Belated happy birthday, Isa." he said earnestly.

Isa hugged him back. Moss can feel his heated cheeks plumping up from his semi-crooked smile. “Thank ya, Moss.” He replied quietly, happy.

Moss snuggled his head, then slowly kicked off his own boots. He dimmed the light of their bedside oil lamp, and a comfortable darkness embraced their room. His hand kept rubbing Isa's back soothingly, sometimes caressing his hair, until he fell asleep.

After kicking off his own boots, did Isa fall asleep.

In the next morning, the redhead found himself waking up. Hearing a heartbeat’s relaxed rhythm underneath his ear as he fluttered his eyelids open. Then with careful motion, Isa took a peek up. Wondering if the merman he is laying on is asleep.

The morning light from the windows laid upon a sleeping Moss, whose arms were thrown up over the pillow, legs flung in a ballet position.

Isa sucked in his lips, holding back his laughter as he gained the confidence to fully look around. He didn’t know that Moss likes him lying on top. Maybe he should this again? But what if he doesn‘t want to?

He’s overthinking.

The redhead carefully reached up, tenderly tucking his hair behind his ear before laying there and stare In thought. Sometimes, he’d sweetly comb through his hair before relaxing. Just waiting for Moss to wake up on his own.

"Isa, I didn't know you could dance this way on the ice . . ." Moss murmurred in his sleep. His ballet position changed. He gave a weird smoulder smile, wagging his white eyebrows. "Okay, set up the burrito trap . . ."

Isa froze, staring with wide eyes as Moss moved around. Then he held back his laughter, a few ‘hahah’ escaping his sucked in lips. “B-burrito trap . . .heheh~ So cute~” He cupped his cheeks, rubbing them with his thumbs.

Moss hummed sleepily, nuzzling into Isa's palms, then his eyes fluttered open. "Hi, Isa~" he smiled sleepily, happy to see him. He stretched, yawning, "Why are you smiling so much?"

“Okay, set up the burrito trap.” Isa repeated, Moss’ own voice coming out of his mouth instead before chuckled. “Ya had a smolder look too. Heheheh~”

He rubbed a thumb gingerly, his smile growing as he felt Moss stretch underneath him.

"HOW DID YOU DO THAT? That was my voice!" said Moss, now wide awake. "And how did you know my dream? Seriously, Isa, what kind of magic do you have?"

Isa laughed. “I’m just mimicking ya and ya said that out loud. I can’t go into your dreams, Moss.”

“No, nothing strange.” Isa cooed soothingly, lightly smooshing his cheeks. “Dreams are dreams. Nothing to be embarrassed about.”

”And to answer your question, I know thirty one spells.”

"Wow, that's ammm lotmm." slurred Moss as his cheeks were smooshed. He smiled, pleased to see Isa happy and in good spirits. He wrapped his arms around him and snuggled a bit more. "Do you want to eat breakfast?"

“I always ready for breakfast.” Isa muttered, hugging him back, and snuggled. He was relieved that Moss is happy this morning. “Can we cook together ?”

"Yeah! Let's make something you like. Oh, and I was wondering if you'd like to bake a cake later?" said Moss starting to get up.

“Okay. How about pancakes? We can put chocolate chips or fruit slices in it.“ Isa pushed himself up, slightly kneeling over Moss’ lap. He tilted his head. “A cake? Sure!”

"Pancake sounds good! I haven't had panckake in years." He got out of bed, and checked all the fruits he chilled in ice crystals. "Yeah, your birthday cake." smiled Moss, looking back at him. "What kind of fruits do you want for the pancakes? We may have to shop for them. Cake ingredients too, I wasn't really sure what cake you'd like."

Isa shuffled back some more so Moss can get up and sat down by the edge with one leg tucked on the bed. Leaving the other leg hanging. Then he blinked owlishly, pointing at himself. “My birthday cake?” He smiled and traced circles on the bedsheets with a fingertip.

“Bananas and blueberries are nice for pancakes. As for the cake . . . I guess vanilla cake with glazed fruits on top?”
