Orphanage For The Out Of The Ordinary (RP) (Starting)

Misty trudged to the field, her ears tucked against her head. Yeah, so what if she still wasn't all that comfortable with how she looked. She just rolled her eyes at her self and walked over to where everyone was, staying as far away from them as she could.

Xavier walked through the streets, walking back towards the orphanage. He had taken longer than he thought he would. It had been hours since he left the group. He had conjured a copy of himself to make them think he was there, so everything should've gone smoothly. He didn't like the feeling of being around so many people, so he just left to do his own thing. Of course he had run into some problems. A few humans had decided to make him a punching bag, but it didn't work out too well for them. When he left, they were beating another one of his copies. 'I should be there shortly.'

Xavier climbed through the window of his room and set down his bags. He had managed to conceal his identity as a 'Gifted' and was able to buy some items. He placed the dozens of new books on his large shelf and set the other things in the corner. He sat on his bed and removed his coat. 'The only thing I haven't figured out, is what I should do with you.' In his hands, Xavier held a small kitten. He had found the animal in an alley and took it without thinking. He had kept it safe in his coat, during his walk. The kitten let out a meow and jumped onto his chest, curling up into a ball. Xavier let out a sigh and scratched the feline behind its ear. "I guess you're here to stay."

(I have received no alerts for this.)

Arcum walked up to the field with Lily. It was a normal field. Cool. He saw all the orphans gather around it, and wondered when lessons would start. He got out his phone and other gadgets he brought with him, and started to practice manipulating them. Mr.David would be busy, might as well start.

Mr. David came through addressing everyone slowly. When he got to Lily he smiled,"Aparently your vines are powerful so this time how about working on traps?", he instructed. Lily nodded and got to work.

Pateer looked around nervously as he walked out onto the field. He didn't know how to tell Mr. David that he didn't want to use his power. He slunk away from the group of orphans and stood off to the side by himself, hoping no one would notice him. He started to wonder whether his mongoose was safe or not.

Mr. David moved over to Pateer,"Your power seems to be very powerful...show me what you can do?", he asked with a pleasant smile. He wasn't a scary person at all and was actually very nice. Not many people knew what his power was, all they knew was that he could tell when others had power and that he was powerful.
(By the way I never posted his looks:

Pateer just stared at Mr. David. He didn't know what to say. Would Mr.David think him weak if he knew Pateer couldn't use his power? Pateer quickly looked at the ground and muttered angrily to himself. "Come on, just tell him....but what if he laughs? Oh, he won't laugh he's Mr.David come on. No, no I'm not doing it nope. Bu-" Pateer was cut short. Oh no, he thought, it's happening! Pateer's eyes started to glow and he lost all sense of feeling in his body. He couldn't resist, the light was absorbing his whole self. His mouth started to open and he wanted to call out for help.

(Good thing you posted that picture of Mr.David, I thought he was an older guy with gray hair. Whoops, hehe...)

Mr. David looked worried,"Are you okay?", he asked watching over Pateer. He was ready to jump in if anything serious happened. So far it didn't seem to dangerous. Mr. David would be able to handle it if he was to out of control and solve the problem.

Pateer's mouth opened and the words spilled out. "Your parents abandoned you at the side of the road when you were a baby because they were scared by your abnormalities. You wouldn't have survived if it hadn't been for the old woman who took you in, even if she too was disgusted by your looks." Pateer's head was turned to one of the orphans, his eyes shining light." She cared for you until death, when you were left alone on the streets. You scraped for food, stole for money, and begged for just a place to stay for the night. You needed the benefits, so you joined a gang in which you did many things which you still regret . You killed, killed the innocent, killed out of need for respect of your gang. It didn't matter though because they tossed you out anyway, left you for dead at the side of the road bruised and bloodied. No one stopped to see if you were okay, they ignored you, they didn't want to be seen associating with a " cross species". They thought you were dirty, impure, and just this once they were right. You will never forget the truth in the words passed that day. They will haunt you forever, your past will follow you like a shadow. Those words....unwanted, unneeded, unclean." Pateer collapsed as soon as the last word flew from his mouth. He sat up rubbing his head, eyes open wide. "Oh no. I did it didn't I?" Pateer whispered. He looked around frantically at the others staring at him. He looked at Mr. David then sprang up and ran, tears rolling down his face, not daring look back at the silent field behind him.

Mr. David caught up to him and grabbed his arm,"Pateer they won't hate you for that. Everyone here is like you, lack of control, all you need is training and that's why I have this class", he said to him. He smiled,"You aren't the first person with this gift to come by. I can help you", he told him with confidence. He wasn't one to give up on anyone. Mr. David was also right about the other children, sure that one kid might be upset for a while but everyone here knew for the most part these things couldn't be helped.

Misty looked around at the stunned and quiet field of children, all with different emotions running through their eyes. She wasn't one to judge someone else and she wouldn't do that with Pateer. All he needed was some help on controlling his 'power'. She hoped that Pateer would calm down some and not be as upset like he was when he ran off, hoping that he understood it wasn't really his fault with what happened. She looked around at the little field once more before she sat down with her tail curled up in her jacket and her ears hidden underneath her hood. Yep, she still wasn't comfortable with showing others her wolf features.

Pateer looked down at his feet, ashamed for running off. He didn't think he would ever be able to control his powers. He wiped the tears from his eyes, embarrassed for crying in front of other people. He was supposed to hide his emotions, not embrace them. He looked back into the crowd. He searched and caught the eyes of the orphan he had exposed. He could tell because fresh tears were still flowing, falling onto the glass below. He turned around, it was too much for him to bear. "M-Mr. David? Can I please go? Anywhere, anywhere but this field." Pateer looked at Mr.David, waiting for an answer.

"Hmm alright. But you have to promise you will do the homework I assign you alright?", he said writing out all the things he needed Pateer to work on. It was a list of three things.

1. Meditate and stay calm for atleast three hours of the day.

2. Try and focus on a picture or film, just one person, and get something out of it.

3. If you get another one you didn't plan then try and suppress it.

Mr. David seemed satisfied by just these things,"Make sure you try those things before next class tomorrow.", he advised Pateer before going to comfort the other child.

Arcum looked up from his phone at the sudden silence that had fell over the lawn. What happened? he thought, and then saw everyone staring at Pateer. What had the guy done? Arcum was so transfixed on playing with his powers he had not noticed Pateer preform his power. Must of been some spectacle. And he walked over.

Pateer nodded then started walking back towards the orphanage. He had had enough training for the day. I think i'll look for my mongoose now. He thought. My mongoose! "Um, Mr.David!" Pateer called,"are pets allowed at the orphanage?"

Arcum noticed it was not too big of a deal. It was probably better not to meddle in someone else's business. But he did have some questions for Mr.David. Arcum walked up to him and waited until he was available.

Mr. David looked up at Pateer,"Of course they are", he said laughing a bit as if it were a strange question. He then looked down at Arcum,"Yes Arcum?", he asked now that he was done comforting the other orphan and talking to Pateer.

" I was wondering how we each practice our powers" Arcum asked " I find it sort of confusing, so would I be asking to much to give me a lesson, if you can?" Arcum was sure his powers were perfected, but there was always some place of his powers he knew he could not reach, not if he did not have some proper training.

Pateer headed back inside and looked around for his mongoose. Now where could that mongoose be..... Pateer thought. He snuck around the halls and avoided anyone he saw.

"I had planned on it. No ones powers are completely perfect, we just train them to be close.", he said then sat down in the grass,"Alright, show me what you are capable of doing." Mr. David could automatically tell what Arcum's power was but needed to know how good he was at using and controlling it.

Arcum nodded and sat down on the grass. He got out his phone. "My power only works on electronics, unfortunately". He lied his phone on the grass and stared at it. First he turned it on, then replied to a rp message he had. He turned on the camera, and turned on the heat sensor. Arcum wondered if these were the only things he could do. So he opened up the coding of the applications for the phone and changed them around. He was able to increase the sensitivity of the touch pad, and hacked into angry birds and was able to have unlimited birds per game.

Mr. David watched and seemed happy by this,"I don't know if it will work for you, but, many technopaths I have encountered have been able to do much more with their power. Some have been able to lift technology into the air with their minds, take it apart, and rearrange things they had into something new. Others have been able to steal the electricity from the technology and use that to their advantage in many ways, battle, charging phone, anything really.", he said while thinking of what to do with Arcum first. He seemed to have full control but there was so much more he could do.

Xavier flipped the last page of one his new books, setting it in his bookshelf. He was about to start another, when he remembered the copy he made. It was supposed to follow the group, so it was probably at class right now. With a snap of his fingers, he felt the copy disappear. 'Now, what should I read next?'

With another book in hand, he laid on the bed, the kitten curled up in a ball on his chest. He could hear a bit of the voices from the class outside, but he tuned them out. He never attended the classes. He knew more than enough on regular studies and he already had his 'Gift' under control. Besides, it wasn't like he ever really used his abilities. There wasn't much use for them, especially when he only stayed in his room.
