Orphanage For The Out Of The Ordinary (RP) (Starting)

Two Thousand Club
~~~Plot~~~
People all around the world were born different, some though were more different than the others. When these people were rejected at birth or something else had happened causing them to be alone they would have to be sent to an orphanage by law. Because of fear or hatred of these people they were tossed out on the streets for being this different from the rest. With no where else to go they were lost and unwanted with nowhere to go. For this reason, the orphanage for the gifted was created. This is a place where all kinds of special children can be loved and accepted until someone loving adopts them. All of the orphans were taken in by Mr. David who grew up much like them and treats them well.
I'm assuming you wonder what makes these children "gifted"? Well it's a number of things. They can be born with a power that gives them superhuman abilities that weren't very well controlled. They could be a half creature, meaning wolf-human or anything similar having an animal feature. The two don't usually mix except for the half creatures having hightened senses. These people are all in the same group even though they tend to be very different from each other. Some have very different goals in life than others would of course. We welcome the different with warm arms to be great one day.
The area they are in is a bit separate from normal people but still close enough to explore the town. They live in a castle built by Mr. David in the woods. Like normal children would they do go to school but most are homeschooled because of issues with the school. The orphans have many privileges and freedom but there is a curfew set to keep them safe and accounted for along with other basic rules.
~~~Rules~~~

1. Romance is allowed but don't go over board with it. Meaning no sex.

2. Try not to make one liners, it doesn't give the others a lot to work with.

3. Don't write in first person. It's confusing to everyone because of most everyone writing in third person.

4. Be literate! Make sure everything is properly punctuated and capitalized.

5. No godmod obviously.

6. Do not copy others powers when creating a character, try to make them different.

7. People with animal features do NOT have super powers. For example, a wolf boy will not be able to use fire. He would probably be able to run fast or smell powerfully. Hightened senses does not mean superpowers.

8. Be nice to everyone :3

Lily was finishing up her portion of the chores, they were all divided among the people living there. It was her turn to clean the halls. She wanted to cheat and use her powers to finish quickly but it was an indoor job sadly. As Lily was just finishing up a small group of animal children ran through knocking her over. "Oww....", she muttered sitting up and rubbing her back. She looked at the now dirty halls from mud and pouted while thinking about the mess she just cleaned.

Mr. David kept to his office during the day and when he wasn't at home he was out looking for abandoned gifted people. He enjoyed his job and was a kind man. If anyone needed help they came to his office for it.

"Hey hey hey! Just because you're part herd animal doesn't mean you have to live with a herd mentality!" Deliana's voice rang out loud and clear through the hallways after the group of stampeding younger animal-children. "And Dylan just because you have panther in you doesn't mean it's okay to chase prey-animal children!" but they were gone, around the corner. It was hopeless, anyway. She was trying to get them into bathes and their rooms and to check that they were at least pretending to do their homework - babysitting duty. Joy.

Well… most of the time it was, actually. Dylan was just letting his predatory senses get the best of him. Again. She paused, looking at poor Lily who had borne the brunt of the stampede, and the horrible mess they'd made of her hallway. "Oh my gosh, Lily, I’m so sorry. Half of them have something close to sheep in them or horses or something easily spookable and Dylan - well he's at that age, right? Eleven. He thinks it's funny to scare them. I tried to stop them, honest I did." She paused, bending down and offering her hand to the other girl. "Are you okay?"

Lily took her hand and smiled,"I'm fine, just have to clean some more.", she said using Dylan to help herself up. She looked around the hallways and thought of something to clean faster,"I have an idea!", she said happily. She taped the rags to her hands and feet then ran on all fours up and down the hallways. The job was finished within minutes making Lily have a successful grin across her face. She was surprised she hadn't thought about it before.

Xavier sat in his room reading the new book Mr.David had bought for him. Although it was very large, he was almost finished reading it. He had always been a fast reader. He could hear the ruckus from downstairs, but he paid no mind to it. There was nothing he could do to stop it and he didn't plan on doing anything about it. He was always cooped up in his room and almost never came out. He learned that the noise would eventually cease if he ignored it long enough, so there was never any need for him to leave and ask them to be quiet. He stayed in his room so much, few people even knew that he lived here. It wasn't a bad thing, he actually preferred it. He didn't need people to acknowledge his existence. He was perfectly fine staying up in his room.

Misty sighed as she leaned against the willow tree that she usually goes to, a little ways away from the orphanage so she couldn't hear any sound from there. She had already finished cleaning the kitchen, which was her chore for the day, so she decided to relax with some music. She picked up her guitar that was beside her and placed it on her lap, strumming a few strings with her guitar pick that she has had for awhile. She smiled as the notes came out sounding clear and tuned, just like she was hoping for.

Lily smiled,"Well since my chores are done, I'm gonna take off. Bye Dylan!", she yelled mid run outside. Once she was out she fell into the grass. It welcomed her back,"Hello, I missed you", she said to the plants around her. Many flowers started to grow around Lily making her smile. She enjoyed being with the plants more than any other time during the day. Lily saw a flower that hadn't bloomed yet and helped it along, she made it grow bigger than any other flower there.

Jane was tired of all the loud sounds of the orphanage so she decided to go for a walk to a small pond she's gone to for the last couple years she happened to stumble upon in the fall. On her way to the pond she hear a guitar strumming. 'who's playing guitar this far out?' she thought to herself. She followed the strumming and it lead her to see someone leaning against a large willow tree. Jane just stood there, and just watched the girl strumming on her guitar. She wished she was able to play guitar. Jane decided to just keep walking to the pond, that isn't too much farther from where she is. Jane got to the pond, and instantly she went running across the pond and dancing around on the ice that appeared below her feet. Snow started to drift down above her in large fluffy flakes and she was in complete bliss.

Misty smiled slightly as she heard someone in the distance, not even hesitating for a second she continued to strum quietly. After a few minutes she heard the person leave, their footsteps slowly fading out of her hearing range. Once she was sure that the person wouldn't be able to hear her she started to sing along to the song she was playing, everything feeling so natural to her. Misty didn't have much of a problem with others hearing her sing or play but if she had a choice sh would always do it by herself.

Some of the children gathered around Lily,"Do that thing again!", one said happily. Lily looked at them and smiled,"Okay, get ready", she responded as the children all gathered together. She took a deep breath then focused on the ground. A giant flower that was ten feet across sprung out of the ground slowly lifting the children higher and higher. They cheered happily as they looked around from the high lookout. Lily was told not to do this anymore because of the danger but she could never say no to the children. From how high it was they could see all the way to the town and all of the castle orphanage.

Jane decided to go back to the orphanage to do her chores, she was stuck with laundry duty. Jane hurried her way back to the house, and started to gather everyone's laundry, but of course the little children were playing hide and seek and some were hiding in the laundry piles. When she went to pick them up she screamed " AHHHHHH!" Jane ran out of the room and bumped into someone and fell to the ground. She looked up to see...

Light filled Troy's room and he groaned at the sight of it from under his covers already not wanting to get up for the day but the daily sounds of the orphanage did'int exactly help him go back to sleep either. He was a bit spooked but also relived when his room suddenly went dark again but knowing it could of been one of the younger kids in his room, he got up to look around because for some reason they always had the tendencies of going in there. He threw off the covers and discovered a the flower right in front of his window. Troy cursed under his breath then opened his window.

"Lily what did Mr.David tell you about doing that?" Troy shouted out the window

Rhea was alone now,but she didn't mind that it was safer when she was alone.Less chance of an accident.No one would get hurt.So,Rhea just curled up on her bed and didn't talk to anyone.Like she has been doing ever since she came here.Its my fault I wasn't a good girl.Rhea thinks crying to herself.I should have been more careful.She pulls the blanket over her head,curling into a even tighter ball.

Lily looked up at Troy and sighed bringing the children back down. One fell off mid way so she quickly brought out another flower to catch him. Once they were down she sat on the flower and brought herself up to his window,"Happy mister shut in", she said grinning at him. Lily was tempted to send some vines in after him and pull him out. She usually wasn't mischievous but today she felt like it.
(Where is everyone O.o )

(I'm here too!)

Misty put her guitar back inside of its case and slung the strap around her back after standing up. She raised an eyebrow as she walked back into the property of the orphanage, seeing Lily yell into Troy's room. "Hello Lily." Misty said as a simple greeting before going inside and getting herself a snack, sitting down on a chair by the table.

(Didn't know what to write >.<)

Lily got bored with Troy and came back down to explore. She greeted Misty then thought of something fun to do. Lily ran to Mr. David to get permission first then went over an intercom system,"Who wants to head out to town with me? Meet me at the front gate!", she said with a happy voice instantly indicating in was her. She ran to the front and waited for anyone to show up and come play with her.

(There ^^ now there is something to do)

Xavier wanted to ignore the call, but he couldn't. Mr. David had asked him to spend some time outside today and get to know the other residents. He didn't want to go, but Mr. David had asked him. He grabbed his usual winter coat and made sure his blue hair covered his right eye. He then began to walk towards the front gate. He wondered how they would react. After all, nobody knew he even existed here.

Lily saw Xavier and smiled,"Oh hello, are you new here?", she asked curiously. She had never seen his face but had lived here her whole life so she assumed he was a recent addition to the orphanage. Lily quickly put her hand out to him,"My name is Lily, it's nice to meet you.", she added to her first statement.

Misty put away her guitar case before she got dressed into a tank-top with a gray hoodie over it, putting on some jeans next. Once she was done she heard Lily's voice come on over the intercom, talking about going into town. 'It wouldn't kill me to go out into the town, right? Right.' She reassured herself, walking down the stairs to go to the gate where she said to meet her.

After lilys little act with the flower he heard her voice through the intercom. "Damn can't that girl just be quiet for the day?"

he had a choice either lay there in his bed and wait for Mr.David to come wake him up for some sort of chore or go with lilly into town and avoid Mr.David. After laying there he suddenly got up and hovered down the stairs for the fun of it and went outside to meet up with lilly. As he began walking outside he noticed lilly talking to someone and just quietly approached them.

Xavier took a few steps back from the girl. He wasn't used to being around others and that wasn't going to change anytime soon. He didn't know how to answer her question. He didn't speak to people he didn't know. It's not that he didn't want to, he physically couldn't. His throat would just close up whenever he attempted to speak. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a dark blue cell phone and started typing. Mr. David had insisted that he have one for emergencies and he considered this to be an emergency. He finished typing and held out his phone for the girl to read the message. "I'm Xavier. I've been living here for over ten years."

Lily's eyes widened a bit,"Oh okay. Well nonetheless it's nice to meet you. I've been here for sixteen years", she said before looking at Misty and Troy,"Ready to go?" She turned on her heels and opened the gate taking the key with her. They kept it locked in case some people decided to bully the orphans. The younger orphans also were not allowed to leave unless Mr. David was with them. As she walked she created flowers along the path telling them to search ahead for people hiding.

Misty hid her tail under her hoodie, laying her ears flat against her head. She nodded at Lilly and followed her, along with Troy and Xavier. Misty has seen Xavier before, either when he was doing chores or just roaming the house. She smiled faintly and walked slower than the others, staying in the back while she kept to herself.

As they walked Troy followed the trail of plants behind lilly and although he did'int care to much for the flowers he was carefull not to step on any just in case it would upset lilly. He made a lighter levetaite out of his pocket and let it land in his hand along with a cigarette and lit it. It was nice for him to finally get one in because whenever he did it in his room somehow Mr.David always knew which still makes Troy wonder how he knows.

"So lilly where we going in town?" Troy asked

He still sounded a bit groggy considering he just woke up.

Lily turned back to him,"We are going to many places. Mostly to kill time and I think we should stick together incase there is trouble", she said while thinking,"If there is anywhere you would like to go just speak up." She then turned to Xavier,"You can show me a message if you would like to see some place.", she said making sure to take his condition into account. They were slowly getting closer to the town and could see it in the distance.
