Fantasy Original Species

Alicia looked after him with tear filled eyes but she didn't say anything. Kiara looked at her feet and sighed. "I am sorry Ally," Kiara said and Alicia shook her head.

"It's fine.... I wasn't enough to make him stay," she said quietly as she set down the cake.

Kiara sighed and rested back against the chair. "We should get to training. Have you had enough to eat?" she asked and Alicia nodded silently. Together they got up and walked around the house to the back where they changed and began to run. There was a rock formation by the river, tall and sandy coloured where over a dozen shifters were gathered in different forms. Alicia shifted into a fox, crawling out of her clothes as she joined the back, sitting and wrapping her tail around her paws. Kiara on the other hand, took the form of a large cat that had existed 3000 years ago but was now extinct. It was midnight black with razor sharp teeth and careful black eyes. It had a long tail and as she let out a roar, the others turned to face her. She sat carefully and watched as everyone got organised, creating a ring. Two shifters would step forward and begin to fight one another, eventually one losing to the other. They didn't always stay in their original forms, choosing to take other shapes to fight better.

Josef left the house, determinedly trying not to cry. As he left he felt a pain pass through his body and he let out a cross between a scream and a howl as he was forced down onto his knees, his pupils dilating and his claws extending "no....." He moaned "you can't have found me here..."

Kiara's head snapped at the howl. She growled and the others stopped fighting. She crouched and climbed up onto four legs, waiting for another indication of distress. Kiara let out a loud roar like a wildcat, her claws digging into the earth as she prepared to run. The rest of her pack were too prepared to run but they wouldn't dare move until she did.

Josef stepped outside, half changed between his human and wolf form "Kiara Arel" his voice was warped, it was not quite his own, like he was being controlled "you will submit to me or I will kill you"

Kiara began to run, her entire pack behind her as she growled. Changing back halfway, she smirked. "You can try," she growled out. "I am an original and we are not so easily destroyed," she said as she pawed at the ground. "Who are you?" she growled.

"I am the child of darkness" he glared at her "my mother has promised me that which my heart desires most...the same thing you wouldn't give" he bared his teeth "I am the Nightprowler...I was born from the hatred felt towards you. I am....." He screamed again "no...I will fight them" it was Joe's voice again "I have to...for Alicia" he fell to hi knees, his head in his hands and he howled again "I love her...they will make me a monster...I...am...not...THEM" his voice was laboured and exhausted

Alicia shifted half way and stepped forward in line with Kiara. She didn't say anything, or go to him like she wanted to, but Kiara hadn't denied her either. Tears flooded her eyes as she heard him say that he loved her, and her heart began to beat faster. Kiara stood strong but didn't attack. She knew that he didn't want this.

"You should kill me" he said looking down at the ground "I challenged you to a fight and I submit" his head rose slightly "I'm a danger to you...especially whilst my parents are so close"

"We aren't killers here," she said simply. "Your loyalties are still to your old pack which makes you dangerous. It's not a bond that is broken by leaving. You have a choice. You can either leave here, or you can create a new loyalty. Join us Josef. We will have to destroy your parents pack anyway and I'd hate to hurt my progeny so."

"I cannot join you" he looked pained "my bond does not allow it...I chose to run and never find acceptance than to give myself over to evil. I can help you though. I can be your soldier. I am stronger than I look"

"This is not an army, Josef. We fight to look after one another. Will you consider it once the bond is broken?" she asked, curious if that was the only thing holding him back.

"I would consider" he said simply "until then I cannot have the blessing?" He looked at her

Noer returned back to the bakery, his jacket's front covered in his own blood. As he stood in front of the bakery, he was unable to sense Kiara within the building, which made Noer grunt in frustration. However, the other vampire he sensed who was inside the building on the other side of the street was still there.

Noer turned around and walked towards the Tea Shop, while looking on both side of the street for any sign of hunters. Once he was in front of the entrance, Noer raised his fist and knocked on the door. One time. Two times. Three times. Four times. Then, he lowered his arm and waited.

"That is correct. I have very few rules but that is one of them. I wish it could be different but I can't change it for one person," she said simply. "Would you like to train with us? We were practicing fighting techniques."

"I don't think so" he looked down, ashamed "do you have somewhere I can sleep"

"You can stay in the barn in my garden if you like," Alicia said. "I know you don't like to be cooped up inside and it's unused...." she trailed off, blushing slightly.

"If that's alright with Kiara" he looked at the original, his eyes containing some malice towards her at first big it seemed to vanish

Sage and Isabelle blink slightly as they look at the door. Sage makes her way over to the door and opens it a bit. "Hello...?" Isabelle looks at Robert then her. (@NorbertM )

"Of course," Kiara said simply. "Do you know the way from here?" she asked as she pack began to slip away, returning to their fights.

"Yes" he stood up and looked at Alicia sadly and thankfully before walking out of the house with a purpose, just as he reached the door he stopped and turned "you may not be an army at the moment...you may need to be soon" and with no more words he swept out of the house for a second time that evening

The door slowly opened a bit, a part of Sage's face revealed through the little space the door provided. Grunting out loud, then falling down on the right side of the door, he painfully inserted four fingers into one of his wounds. Crunching his teeth, he pulled out what seemed to be an object made out of gold. "Bastards." he lowly mumbled.

Turning his face to Sage, he said, "Your vampire friend. He's in danger. He needs to get out of here. And fast.". He proceeded with removing the other bullet inside of it and through a lot of pain, he removed it. "Double-barrel shotgun? For a recruit? Something is not right here." he said as his wound slowly began to heal. "I know a place for your friend. If he may want to come with me, of course."

Sage raises a brow while watching, narrowing her eyes a bit. "And who am I to trust someone I have never met?" She asked while holding the door slightly. Isabelle snorts a bit and mutters something. "Smart girl... definitely Kiara's descendant..." She said while getting up.

Noer looked up at Sage, straight into her eyes. "Right now, vampire hunters are going to kill every vampire in this town. Your friend has two options. Either sits inside and waits for the hunters to come kill him.". Noer raised to his feet, straightening up. "Kiara." he said, almost in a whisper. "Take him to Kiara. She will protect him." he said.

"Listen, there isn't much time. I have no qualms with your friend. I don't know what your friend did and don't care right now. But these vampire hunters won't care either. They'll just kill him. You have to trust me. Is trusting me so difficult that you would risk your friend's life?" he said, with a very serious face on, looking straight into Sage's eyes.

Sage watching him with icy blue eyes, pale freckles dappling her cheeks. "Yes it is hard because I don't know you and you could easily be lying and faking this entire act just to get at my friend. But... I will believe if it will keep him safe... I'll tell him what you said... And he's done nothing wrong." She said as she lifted her gaze slightly.

Robert listened from the doorway, then stepped out and looked at Noer, "I believe him, if he wanted to kill me, he'd just have come in." He frowned a little, "Why would the Hunters be after me? I settled my debt with them decades ago." He sighed, "Stupid pricks."
