Realistic or Modern Organized Crime

He chuckled "You don't deserve to have a bar. You're going go let me go. And if n-"

"Do it." he said simply. A single shot was fired right into the the boss hand, dropping the gun and losing grip on Lynn. Immediately Alex charged him and got Lynn out of the way as he began to beat down the boss with his own hands.

He stopped mid punch and looked at the boss long and hard before the boss spat in his face. Letting go of him and lookimg at the bleeding man before him. He huffed as he looked over to her, "Ms. O'Brien I'm so sorry you had to deal with this..."

He stopped in his tracks. The room fell silent and the one to break the silence was a low chuckle from the man on the ground. "Take him and leave us." Two of the biggest guys take the man out of the room and Alex goes to close the doors. Coming back to losen the ropes for her to move around. He sighed, "Do you want to hit me with my mask on or off?"

"I hate you..." she whimpered. "Why did you lie to me like that?!" Her hands hit his chest weakly until she fell against it. "I thought you were someone completely different. I thought you were a wonderful, good man! But you're a mob boss! You are... Your name isn't even Antonio..."

"Lynn please... I'm sorry." he takes off his mask to show his face, "I only lied to you because I was afraid of losing you if you knew who I was. I didn't mean to hurt you. You've changed my life. You've actually made me enioy life. And everything I'm doing is for you to live your dream..."

"Even after I told you about my fiancé you still lied! How long did you think I wouldn't know? These men knew! How couldn't I...? Why did I find out through them? When were you going to tell me?!"

"Believe me when I say I was going to tell you soon. I just needed the right time..." he starts off.

She moved away and sat down, trying to calm down. "If I would've known, I would have been more careful..." she whispered. "I almost got violated because of you! Why did you wait so long to come?! I spent so long... listening to those creeps talk... they kept eyeing me, hitting me when I spoke... I learned Russian from my babysitter when I was small you know? I knew what they were saying! I understood what they were talking about and it got later and later and I thought about what was going to happen when you didn't come. I was so frightened!!" She wiped at her puffy eyes. "You know, they asked me what name you'd used this time, To-" she stopped "ALEX... what other times would he be talking about?"

He took a deep breath trying forming the words in his head first before she completely goes for his head, "I'm sorry. We we're taking extra precautions, such as arming up the bar in case another bar tried to attack and arming ourselves for our rescue as well as leaving several men over by your house and your family house to make sure everything was ok. And before you ask, no they won't do anything to backstab me now that they have your family and home address these men are my family. We dont betray each other. And as for the names...simply put I was using different aliases to hide myself so I may scout out different bars. That's all, I swear on my grave."

She looked away. She didn't know how to respond. She wasn't sure she wanted to. She stumbled up slowly. "I'll never forgive you if you keep even the smallest thing from me. Take me home." She walked past slowly, shaking like a leaf still. God, she was weak. She hated this. She looked at her hands. She was pitiful. Disgusting. Couldn't do anything but scream and cry in this situation...

He nodded to her, quietly following her out. Opening the door they would see the gang pouring out the booze, "They're all water. They tried to fo- oh." One of them started but saw how uneasy they both were. As they left she would see bodies scattered everywhere. He reached out to touch her shoulder so she may keep balanced as they walked out of the dreadful scene.

She jumped a bit, falling backwards as she slipped in a puddle. She let out a squeak, squeezing her eyes shut as she braced to hit the ground.

He immediately caught her, "Easy easy...its me. Its me..." he says as he helps her up and continues to guide her out. Once out he took her to his car and drove her home. The ride seemed to last forever to Alex. He knew he messed up he should have told her when she mentioned what happened to her fiance. He sighed softly and just tightened the grip around the steering wheel.

She curled up in the seat, staring out the window. Her eyes felt like sand paper. "I don't think I'm going to make it to work tomorrow night. My face is to bruised up to leave my house," she said softly. "I'll scare everyone away..." she forced a weak smile, trying to get him to relax a little.

Sadly that only got to him more. His hands began to turn white by how tight he was holding the steering wheel. He looked to the right to see a park and a tree near the road. He pulled the car to the side and stopped. Not saying a word he simply got out and walked to the tree. He stared at it for a second then punched it as hard as he could letting out a sigh as he brought a hand up to his face to cover his eyes.

She tensed up, watching him as he left. Her eyes started watering again and she buried her face in her hands. She couldn't fix this. She'd just upset him more.

After a minute he got back in the car and sat there a moment his eyes locked on the steering wheel. The blood coming from the open gashes on his knuckles dripping quietly onto his pants, "I'm...so sorry...I let you down." He started off and looked over to her, "I made a promise to keep you safe...and I failed you. From the bottom of my heart I'm sorry that i failed you."

She tore strips of fabric from her skirt and wrapped them around his knuckles, blubbering quiet apologies herself. "I-I... I'm sorry I got myself caught..."

When she bandaged his hand, he took her hand and kissed it, "You have nothing to be sorry about. This is my fault." He sighed, "Let's get you home." He said softly.

He pulled her close and held her tight. Burying his face into her neck, sighed softly, he was on the verge of tears. He was really beatimg himself up over this.
