Fantasy [OPEN] The Price of a Life

Yep, you sure can be a butterfly if you want! Anything that actually exists and isn't extinct is good for this one. Insects included.

It doesn't really matter if an animal form is useful or not, it's just who your character is. You could be the little (butter)fly on the wall, spying on the enemy and being really stealthy and all that...

Also, I've decided to give a brief run-down on the setting whilst we wait for the mods to come and plop on an extra tab.

Imagine coastal Thailand (like in Tomb Raider) for the scenery, but with Greek-ish architecture and all the houses are made from white limestone or something. But the country's sorta near the equator, so you get palm trees in your back garden.

I'll add a drawing I did of common architecture if I can find it.

Maybe... :0

If so.. Then... In your oreference, which would perhaps be better in terms of variety and this rp?

A butterfly or a fox?

Butterfly would be more unique and interesting. Foxes are cool too but a little cliché.

I found the image! Here it is.

That's basically what the average house looks like in the city. Most of the residents are too poor to own an entire building, though, so usually there will be a few households squashed up into the different sections of houses like this.

that is great :o ! And ironically the character i am using fits the scenery VERY well!\

well now that i have the idea im gonna start making the character sheet

Hehe, thanks ^^

Yeah Dom, that's the average house in the Hive (crap name for the capital city but meh). Rich people can afford nicer houses all to themselves. Like, with central heating. Luxury.

And @Yonsisac that's awesome! Just remember that it's not literally Thailand or Greece, attitudes and fashion is pretty similar in that world and our one! But heh... My, my, this will be interesting... I can't wait to see what your character is like.

BTW, I forgot to mention this in the sign-up tab, you can make as many characters as you want - just as long as you're prepared to play them all, of course~ (I'm going to add that in now...)

Someone having wayyyy too much fun in Photoshop.

Two questions--

First of all, it's definitely OK to post my sheet, right?

Secondly, about skill points. My character, Francesca, isn't particularly agile as a human. She's not exactly skinny. But when she's in her animal form (Otter), she's a lot more agile. Especially in the water. Would I give her a high agile stat because she's agile as an otter or should I give her lower because she's not as a human?

I'm changing my mind. After singing in the shower for about 10 mins, i realized that butterflies can't interact much with other characters. They can flap their wings and fly around and spy... But... Thats about it..

So i think i'll go with a fox or something related

And also questioon:

If a character dies in their animal form? Do they stay in their animal bodies? Do their souls leave, making them shift back to human? Or something like that?

Ooh, that's actually a really good question.

Considering souls leave the body and 'disappear' (or get taken back by Nature), they probably would just shift back to human form upon death and their soul would vanish.

Hey! The tab request's been resolved and the setting is up, so you guys can check it out now if you want!

---didnt finish reading nvm---

Also, questions from above still stand. Nearly done with my character sheet, just need to know those things

Whoops, sorry Powder I didn't notice that post lol.

Give the traits to her human form. All animal forms are going to be physically more able than any human as far as speed or relative strength is concerned (unless you're playing a turtle or something) so there's not much point asking about that.

Im mostly done -3-

is there a age range? like how young can we be or how old we can be and not pass said numbers?

@dapperghost A few questions...

1) How does one absorb a soul from a totem?

2) Is it possible to play someone with more than one soul?

3) How advanced is weaponry?

@Yonsisac, nope, no age range! Just be something that's possible for humans (nothing ridiculously old) and you're good!

@StoneWolf18 I'll add the answers to these in the main tab's Q&A section, so you can look at the answers there in a minute!

Mmmm, alright! I have an interesting idea, and it doesn't involve my character specifically reaping per se... ;3
