eh, a mix of both. mostly githyanki, though, which is why i asked what colour the dragon is.


so, the githyanki were mentally tortured humans by the illithids who eventually evolved in secret, overthrew the illithids thanks to Gith, often make deals with red dragons, war with the githzerai etc.

Thanks ... most of that fits with what I knew.  I stopped doing much with Githyanki about 25 years ago.  But Paul has a Githyanki friend who is considered a renegade,  He has created an arsenal of Githyanki slaying weapons back home - so many that it isn't even safe for his friend.  His friend stole a githyanki warship, a flagship at that. And he had an Illithid as a friend.  So you can imagine the politics there.


edit: not sure flagship is a good description as it was fast and maneuverable.

hmm...other than the friendly illithid, creatures who literally will attack anything with a brain and convert them to slavery, that could work.
 
Well, the Illithid was a traitor to his own kind.  But try explaining that to the githyanki.
 
Hmmm 20 people following out of over 40 joined.  Well, that's almost a majority.


Short Posts


I noticed that JustAlexandra commented in several different Areas about this.  I am going to add a take on this.


I've been trying to go through several areas to find a scene or setting to join in.  The problem is that with multiple characters possible I can't figure out who is doing what.  Often there is no mention of the characters.  There is little context as to what they are doing, their demeanor ...  That makes it hard to tell if your character can fit in.  Just to figure out what race and sex the characters are, you have to jump between the Area and the Character forum.


It's a little discouraging.


Some suggestions:  If one of the members is a strong writer, have them start the scene and add a Title, links to the Characters in the scene and maybe even update the events (the last part hidden by a spoiler.)  Then all you have to do is tell someone Check page such and such.

Paul and Eberron trade tall tales.  Well, Paul's tales are tall, but then with a name like that .....


With a write up like this a new member could pretty much figure out what is going on quick and join in if the group doesn't mind.
 
@HighSanguinaryPriest, leaving the next response to the githyanki to you.  Paul and Bornite are still inside.  It would be a bit of a jump in the scene for either to suddenly be outside.  Yes, there are things both could do ... but leaving it alone for now.  In either case it takes time for either to do their thing.  Bornite can "see" the githyanki (or rather his Things).  Paul has magic that could trap him, but that takes time and specific conditions.
 
if you are gonna be childish about it, ill leave. idc. id rather not, and this is not anything against you Alexandra or your rp, but if you guys cannot even simply tolerate the way i roleplay in fight scenes, then i dont want to be here.

It's not that we can't tolerate it, it is just that this is not a one liner RP. People don't come here to RP with people who are going to post one liners.


I understand that that is the way you usually RP fight scenes, but that won't cut it in this RP. People are unhappy because that is not what this RP is for. They want sustenance. They want something they can respond to with an equally large amount of writing. 


It's nothing against you, but if you cannot post long posts then this just isn't the RP for you. If we all have to make stuff work sometimes, then you do too. Especially in the thread we are in, where we are all writing long posts. You writing short posts hinders our ability to respond with long posts. 


I hope that didn't come across as rude. It is hard to start making long posts. Try to react to what other people are doing. Your last post, after I asked you to at least try to write longer posts, was about five words of actual RP. You had more OOC than you did post. 


I didn't mean to call you out here, but considering this is the second time I have had to address this I am caring a little less.

Same goes for you with the longer posts. I only feel the need to say something since you just joined Hammer Stone, and we seem to be having problem, but since you are only just walking into the town I am not really concerned about it . 
 
Oh ,.. reason I asked about how the house was designed ... was if Babe could have climbed to the top, he would have.  Then we'd have had the equivalent of a deuce and a half on top of the roof ... ready to trample.
