OOC

Sorry I am taking a while... A wild fire is getting uncomfortablely close to my house.

Hmmm.

So @Ensig has the idea that all potion shops lead to Bloodroot & Brew. Like all bars lead to Mulligers, etc. (Unless I make more, then it is an option I guess)  So what if I'm like "hmm gonna take a look in the potions shop" and you're like "hmm I should get some legs" and we meet up there? Then you can come back with me to Skyborne and we can hear about a lovely ball :P

Or or I could hear about the ball before hand so that way I have a reason for you to come back with me

lol.. he is going to have issues with flying.  "Whose idea WAS this?"

yeah .. he's kinda leaving us in a lurch.  Might be working or watching the election though.

Well... I was meaning that the Bloodroot & Brew shop simply had empty buildings with doors leading to the Shop (there would be one 'Bloodroot & Brew' shop per town, and only one town would have the 'true door'. All the other doors would be teleportation gates, essentially). The other places (like the Clinic and Bars) wouldn't have said teleportation doors, and would instead have legit establishments all over the place (branches), with their Main Branch being in x location (with 'x' being 'a currently undecided location').

Well, I just wanted to stress the fact that only the doors leading to Bloodroot & Brew would actually lead to the shop. For example, if you broke through the window of the 'shop' the door was placed on, you'd just end up in an empty building. Only at the 'true location' would breaking in through the window land you in the shop.

For how the bars and such would work, just take Mulliger's Bar for example. The Main Branch (located in Banica according to its description) would have Mulliger in the flesh serving drinks. Another town (like, say, Arduamontis) would also have a 'Mulliger's Bar', but the barkeep wouldn't be Mulliger -- instead, they'd  have a subordinate of his managing the Arduamontis branch.

The only reason Bloodroot & Brew is so peculiar is because it's managed by Witches. Everything else should, in theory, work like a store would in IRL (i.e: if you the store is popular, it grows and starts putting copies of itself everywhere to enhance profits)

The Ball could be the reason why I get legs. #fishinbowlscantdance

@Ensig Lol!

@nfounder

Yeah, I'm just trying to find a way for us to meet up in the potions shop. I could come to the beach but that is a lot of switching up places. Which isn't a huge deal I suppose.

right, in terms of my character, he shall be a githyanki warrior (yeah, its not original but all my ideas were used up in an older rp i was in) who can teleport (30ft) and perform telekinesis, has a silver sword that has a secondary effect if used in the astral plane (if it becomes relevant, which i highly doubt, i'll provide more info), is intelligent and relays info and guides the character, has decent armour (there are reasons he has armour) and if stolen, the character knows where it is and the sword will not work for a thief.

as a result of all of this, and how githyanki are sometimes depicted, he has become a treasure hunter of sorts, seeking powerful artifacts and wealth, and believes the impenetrable towers are vaults for such things. is that okay?
