OOC [Through the Years of Strife]

All Character related items must be in by next Tuesday, and I will be posting the final list on Wednesday, sometime at night, Pacific Time.

I hope it's okay to post this here (if not, please let me know IS...

I know a few people who didn't get in, but your concepts sounded great, so I honestly hope that we may get to adventure together at some future date and time.

Take care, and keep in touch!

I'll try to keep my gloating to a minimum.

Are we gonna want to post our characters anywhere? It's a bit easier to make running changes to a single source than to send a round of updates to a few different things.

There is a section near the top for character sheets (It is its own forum).

Do we want to post fictions somewhere?

There is a character forum, as NoisyCricket already pointed out. As for the fics, post them in the thread you make for your character.

*reads Myllinnia's character thread*

Somehow...I think we might have a great relationship, though it could go a lot of ways depending on how we meet...and since we're in the same direction and general area, I think we might soon.

I was thinking... do anyone in our circle have good medicine/investigation?

Should I tweak a bit to meet those deficits?

From what I can see so far, we're all fairly low on that, though one person does not have their sheet posted...

I've got a dot in each, but that's it.

Edit: Amusingly, we seem to have three Eclipses...and a Zenith on the Solar side...so I think we might have some dangerous deficiencies at some point...I might look at my favored abilities and shift some around, though I think mine are mostly fixed.

Don't worry, I won't give anything you can't handle...much

I'll start the individual prologues this weekend, as I don't have much time to do them right now.

And I think that just about covers everything for my character sheet.

Should I have a separate part of the thread to show how I spent my experience points?

Just to let people new to this forum know:

Editing your post does not flag a thread as having an update to it. If you wish to just edit your post, but not add a new one, I would recommend doing what we are in my other game and posting to OOC to let people know what post you edited.

Just a suggestion, and if Silence has another one, I'm definitely open to other ideas. :)

So, I've re-read the Virtue Flaws, and I have a question. I know the book says only one Virtue Flaw, but can you have more than one? While I am sure that Limit Breaks can be worked cunningly into everyday situations with some frequency, I have to admit that they just don't feel insane enough. I would like to have at least two Virtue Flaws, and if this series goes on for a significant portion of character improvement, than I would like to expand that number as time goes along.

And I am (oddly maybe) still working on shoehorning the Conviction/Compassion Virtue Flaw that I've been working on, where you find a minority and you spend a day over-reacting to everything and anything said about/at/because of them. And torturing people because of it. Fun stuff.

What I did was just post a new one, copy what was on the old post on to the new one, edit it, and delete the old one. Though, that doesn't work too well if someone posted after your old one.

Mera, let me think about that a bit.

Also, as a sidenote, anyone who would like me to elaborate on what I've posted on, please let me know, and I'll more than happily do so.

Yeah, that's the problem with it (usually editing posts seems to happen when the player and the GM aren't 100% clear on intentions or what those intentions translate into mechanics-wise).

Maybe you could do your method, just deleting the new post? I'm not sure if that still is considered an 'update' to the thread though...

Sometimes I feel like I ask too many questions...

Is there some specific way we should make our in character posts? I'm used to a specific format, and I'll post in that format for my first post, and just let me know if that's fine, or if I should do something else.

The format is fine, except for the status listings. I don't really need those unless either something changes, such as spending a point of willpower(And even then, I only need it for that one post), or if you are in combat.

Sounds good. I usually forget to post those anyway, unless I'm spending willpower/essence.
