regarding the Mercury ants, there's no reason for Khutulun to stop summoning more, we need their help after all.I'll also try and find time for writing a summoning of a lesser elemental dragon tonight (though it has the chance to say no of course), but I have a potentially busy weekend ahead of me so that's unfortunately a definite maybe.

I wanted to summon a Lesser Elemental Dragon of Earth to get a more substantial amount of assistance with clearing the Titan (and also rubbing heads with the Terrestrial Bureaucracy). Should I just do that flash-back style, or is it something that is cause for rewinding the flash-forward?

You can do it in a flashback style scene. If you are successful, it will also reduce the amount of time needed to safely shift the Titan into its battle configuration.

There. I just made up the name Diamond Soul Conqueror, it seemed fitting for a Lesser Elemental Dragon of Earth. I'm imagining him to be a warrior-type, but I'm happy to leave that in your hands if you have other ideas.
He's allowed to send a representative, but only one who can fulfill the duty I'm asking of him, and since that's making a deal, he can only send someone he trusts to negotiate on his behalf.

I suppose it could be possible, depending on the Style, and if you can find a teacher willing to break the Celestial Hierarchy rules to teach you. You would have to do some serious fast talking to get anyone to do so, however.

Now I'm torn. While raising my permanent Essence would be cool, I could get several Charms with those points. I need to ponder this.

The decision is up to you. Just remember, you may not get the chance to up your Essence anytime without having to save all the points you need yourself.

I went ahead and bought several Charms, including one that raised my Dex to 7. Essence 6 is plenty high enough for me right now.

when comparing your roll to my enemy's Mental DV with Hypnotic Tongue Technique (Ex2 p 203), do I compare it to their raw MDV, or MDV adjusted by Appearance? I'd think the latter since it's a social attack, but it's not explicit from the text.
