OOC Thread

There are a couple of other places to potentially put Exalted fanfiction, some of which get decent visitor counts. I can pm you with some site locations if you'd like.

I, for one, would read it. And I think both spacebattles.com and sufficientvelocity.com are good places.

When I say socially-oriented, I don't mean faux-Zenith. I mean Eclipse-style, societally-aimed stuff. Bureaucracy, Linguistics, Socialize. Larger scale. One of the ideas I'd had was that the character was one of the big economic/bureaucratic movers and shakers. Like...one of the people who oversaw/underwrote the Order Conferring Trade Pattern type.

EDIT: Also, because it's one of my favorite things, I feel compelled to ask about the character having utilized the Eclipse power to have learned non-Solar charms.
I will allow you to have up to [Essence] Charms from spirits or other sources.

You've been doing an inventory of every single thing on the Titan? :)

Or maybe you left the mountain to make contact with god and spirit allies while we build up a mortal base of support.

Thief of Words Thief of Words , do you have any questions about the game rules for posting your character?

I don't...think I do? I made a thread in the character section. I'm just still working on fleshing things out (have the dots almost done, just have to check the math, then write down the history and description).

EDIT: Sherwood Sherwood Numbers stuff is down. Just trying to figure out a name and a proper write up for her history.

History overview:
-One of the/oldest member of the circle
-Originally from First Age Australia (Outback Province of Saigoth)
-Managed to become the barter queen of junk town (after a fashion) thereby gaining enough notoriety to be marked for disappearance.
-Exalted while trying to use her social influence to impose order and prosperity on an area which was a First Age Lunar experiment whose design depends upon it being a social Darwinist hellhole.
-inherited the estate of one the bigger movers and shakers in Creation's economy.
-Still being much the same person, was determined to see to the stability and safety of Creation and the prosperity/happiness of its people by use of the OCTP.

EDIT 2: Added a custom virtue flaw.

*looks at her currently paused Assassin's Creed: Origins - Curse of the Pharaohs game*

Uh-oh...

Ah, fair enough. I dropped the series halfway through 2.

Ah! Question for Sherwood Sherwood Any particular things legendary backgrounds (outside Manse, which auto-adjusts) change in the campaign's houseruled version of Panoply?

EDIT: So from what was posted in the thread, Ink's not a member of the circle?

...you stopped playing during Assassin's Creed II? That's when it took off! :D:

Curse of the Pharaohs involves tomb robbers in the Valley of the Kings cracking open the wrong tomb. Cue the walking dead, a quest to pacify angry ghosts, and a jaunt to the afterlife so surreal that even the protagonist, a devout and sincere person who believes in literal gods, basically throws up his hands and goes "WTF?"

I love it so much.

But anyway, my (completely unnecessary) reference was because I started to wonder what might happen if we opened the wrong hibernation capsule or behaved like D&D characters and attempted to loot dead occupants.

That pretty much lets you start out with your choice of artifacts that you can swap out at your convenience. In order to change your artifact panoply, you will either have to go back to the Titan or have some means to bring some extra gear along, like in a Cache Egg. That's just one possible option.

Also, I did not want to have you as a part of the Circle. You are a part of the Sidereals' back-up plan.

It...it's pretty easy to have 18 dots of artifacts that are wearable/portable simultaneously.

Sure. But if you're in need of swapping out, you will have to have something to be able to do that.

While Ink isn't part of the circle, surely we know her? There were only 300 Solars in the world and we're all 100+ years old.

Good point.

Yes, you would know her by sight, but she was not a party of your conspiracy.

I was gonna say: she was the richest Solar alive. Pretty much anyone who ever had anything to do with money would know who she was. Her epithet of "the Underwriter" was a short version of "the Deliberative's Underwriter," her financial influence was so significant. As in...if the Solar Deliberative fell into financial catastrophe, she was the guarantee that the Realm economy would keep running despite that.

Put another way, she's probably how Duncan could afford to set up the conspiracy.
