Asher gonna have to be careful about the way he answers Jacks question cause certainly one of the initial reasons he wanted to get to know Jack was because of how the boy looked but at least to Asher the friendship was real and not just about how Jack looked.

But I could see something bad happening if Asher didn't answer just right

The problem is Ev' is too afraid to make a move, not because she's afraid of getting rejected. But because he's older, she's afraid he'll leave the home and then forget about her.
I imagine she's had this crush for a long time, but this has always held her back.

If Hunter turned out to like her as well, and ended up asking her out it could certainly lead to some interesting character development for Ev'.

Potentially forcing her to let go, and stop being soo controlling.
Actually learning to give her trust and heart to someone, and be more honest and relaxed instead of defensive.

Random cute idea: You know how Hunter already helped Nathan before. I imagined Nate asking Hunter later in the week, or after school at some point to help him practice skating in secret since he's afraid to do it alone, and he already helped before. Nathan then encouraging Hunter to ask Ev' out, playing the innocent matchmaker. (afterall Hunter is giving Nathan advise, he can return the favour).

Yeah Hunter is a character i only really have a basic outline of so if we want to bring him in as a love interest that’s something we can totally do.

I can easily see Hunter liking ev’ she is thoughtful, caring, and empathetic even if she would like to pretend she isn’t so she is totally the kind of person Hunter would go for.

As far as like why Hunter never made a move before I kinda imagined him to be the studious type not like movie nerd studious. He still hangs out with friends he plays sports works out and all that stuff but he is always pretty focused on doing well in school and sports so he could get a good scholarship to go to college so he’s just never had a girlfriend as it was never his focus sure he has liked plenty of girls but always stayed focused on school so he is just probably really nervous to ask out his first girl and the only girl so far that has been able to drag his attention away from school enough to actually want to ask out.
