Fandom [OOC] Naruto - Trials of the Forgotten

Out of curiosity, has anyone else decided on a route for their specific nature releases? :3

I've alluded to my intentions with Rengetsu's Water release :3

I'm also very curious to see the squads :3
I have, I think, though it's early so may change a bit there. But Zî likely will keep his nature release low key for awhile and mostly use it for his weapons. But again, could change I'd need to research lightning before making a final call, not usually the element I utilize and im still rusty in some areas of naruto.

Also looking forward to seeing squads and jonin sensei announcements.

I plan on as much water release genjutsu as I can get away with! There are like two elemental genjutsus in all of Naruto, so why not expand on them. Tbh, I ran Kaito as a jonin once. One of his more fun techniques was this:

Name of Technique: Water Release: Watery Grave
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Rank: A
Range: Medium Long
Nature Type: Water
Effect: The user plunges the victim to the bottom of an illusionary sea, causing them to feel like they are drowning until they pass out.

Now to just think more small scale for genin. But I will find elemental genjutsu!

Ganryu Ganryu How about one that utilises the 'pressure' of the deep sea? So a variant of them drowning, they feel more claustrophobic/their bodies imploding.

Or one that makes then believe they are in a small box like room with no doors/windows. All they hear is the sound of water dripping. While it may sound like nothing, i'd imagine that would drive someone insane

I myself am looking towards Bubble Ninjutsu. I.e. Utakata style for Rengetsu. I really feel like the anime (even if it was filler) could have done so much more with that

Medical Ninjutsu will be allowed, however I would like to note that's something that takes specialized practice. While it would technically fall under Ninjutsu, it would have an impact on the number of techniques one knows.

I believe I've just decided upon one of the squads, and I know exactly which of my characters to put in charge of the squad ^~^

Also, The Silent Z The Silent Z is on top of things! Liked my Lore thread before I even informed you guys that I put one up! It's now in the links at the bottom of each thread's first post, as well as you can access it here: Fandom - [Lore] Naruto - Trials of the Forgotten
heheh, cheeky.

On the topic of elemental jutsu earth is by far the most powerful, straight up.

Tearing earth turning palm is just C rank, imagine what you can do with turning the earth into a blender.

Earth is the best defensively. Offensively idk, aside from particle destruction, earth doesn't have much firepower, and only one guy alive can even use that technique.

Wind is the best for offense, but I think lightning is tied, just because of the speed & precision of lightning attacks. Part 1 Temari destroyed a forest with one attach using her wind scythe + summon. For killing hordes, Wind >. However for taking on a single powerful opponent, the stopping power if lightning is better, i.e Sasuke v Gaara where chidori could pierce the ultimate sand defense.

Fire should be great, but in practise it ain't shit. Its too unfocused and a raging fire in anime is basically a ball of first degree burns lol who was the last person to get seriously wounded from a fire attack?

And water is the most balanced & the best for changing terrain if the user is good at water combat.

Honestly, on the topic of nature releases, I'll just steal everything Toph did and paste them onto Yume

In the right hands Water is definitely formidable and at times beast. Tobirama & Kisame being the top two that come in mind. But as stated already it's the more balanced element.

I'd take powerful earth defenses and pretty strong earth techniques any day though, if I were building a elemental Ninjutsu character I'd likely use Earth. But due to Zabuza & Tobirama I'd consider Water over other elements.

Fire is nice- But only offensively effective for the most part. Nice combo potential with earth even outside of lava kg's.

Actually, I think I may change Yume's primary nature to fire, as it ends with the tiger seal whereas earth ends with the snake seal

Hmm... I think I've got only one nature release technique in mind, which might be compatible with Zî's main style of combat. Though i gotta research the power scale of Tentens individual techniques and then cross compare, etc. plus see how the jutsu scale and total to start is going work.

I wanna do some creative stuff with fire release, make it a bit more versatile and interesting then its been shown to be in the canon. I have some ideas already but it'll be a question of balancing them appropriately.

Kiyoko Tomoe Kiyoko Tomoe You said the RP would be heavily story-driven as to avoid loss of interest, but what are the rules when it comes to character arcs? I really want to develop Yume's relationship with her mother as it's such a big part of her character, but as the policies are right now, that wouldn't be possible, or wouldn't have space to develop enough without giving up on it mid-way

For everybody who's asked questions and such, I will get to responding to them soon. For now though, I would like to inform you all that there's been a big update to the CS, as I've finally put in everything to do with Jutsu and how many your character(s) will know. Please refer to the Technique List section, and please be sure to read everything carefully; I want to make sure everyone has the correct number of techniques for each type of technique they use, and it would make it a lot easier for me to check for correct counting if I didn't have to correct numbers on top of making sure everyone's scores are correctly done.

Additionally, I would appreciate feedback on everything, with everyone noting that this RP isn't meant to allow people to reach godly status, even with a score total 20 for something. I don't want to see someone throwing S-Rank jutsu left and right, and as such every technique type has a maximum of 1 S-Rank jutsu known at a score of 10 plus a modifier of 10.

Also, as a side-note, the CS should be completely done with significant updates. I will begin accepting characters once they've been fully updated and I confirm the character sheet is acceptable. In the event anything for the CS changes, and I've already accepted characters, those characters will remain accepted and their players will merely have to change things at their own convenience; of course, barring anything that is absolutely necessary for the RP.

As a side note, any characters with two Nature Releases, with neither being Yin or Yang Release, is unaware of their [Secondary] Nature at the beginning of the RP. For those with no access to any techniques beyond those given six E-Ranks, you will also be unaware of your Nature Release(s) entirely. This includes Yin or Yang Release techniques. If your character does not use the Nature Release in one of their known techniques, they do not know they have it.

Noted. I've been reading over this set of additions to the CS, I think I've got this down now. But I'll keep reading just in case before touching my guys CS.

X is equal to your [Taijutsu] score + your [Taijutsu] modifier (rounded down). You must have at least 1 point [Taijutsu] to have any Taijutsu techniques.

I feel like there is something missing here.

Copy/Pasted things to make it quicker, forgot to remove the (rounded down) part, which came from Ninjutsu.
