Can I clear somethin' with the head honcho for a moment- or, anyone up for that matter? I've dug up this gem- which I had been savin' for a while.
Its kinda what I had in mind...though it has an obvious problem in the technology department...I.E. it seems a bit more Sci-Fi than fantasy or modern.
A bit of a toss-up. I want a true answer, even from any user, if this should clash with the setting or look of the place. If it is so, then I have a plan B.

Yeah, I think this might be a tad too futuristic for this rp's timeline.

Gotcha. So, What I can do...
I can probably snip out the face part and instead give a different picture for a full-body thing- like a drider or somethin'
But I'm currently trying to think up some other stuff.

So, I've got this so far:
So, I still don't have a plan, however, the general idea of hitting all of these points seems like a fun challenge! A student who is a bit dull perhaps, requires help at both the subject that this school teaches and a bit of help regarding his behavior.
Maybe he bullies other students? Or maybe he's a bit off in a more interactive sense?
I'd also like to steer away from the other character's territory in terms of making them feel similar. I feel like these characters should feel vastly different despite having the same trope.
I even cooked up the outline:
Going from a smart but naive kid who once saw the world as a sandbox- and as such his personality was a bit more manipulating.
He would've brought upon this form from his ambition or through justification for his actions, or a bit of both. He'd eventually lose his prized intellect and his social standing in the matter of months.
The reason I was concerned with using the mechanical spider-looking one was to bring a bit of contrast between him and the other grotesque trope- as she looks more biological and he would've looked more mechanical to contrast- which is probably a remnant of his old abilities to construct such things. But, yeah, I can see why it doesn't work in this setting. So, I think a regular drider form might work...
It could work a lot better if I added in the fact that he'd still fear his own form and the other freaks in the cast as he'd be a bit jumpy... Which I thought could be hilarious. A drider that fears itself. That's new.
-add the fact that he has no idea how anything in this school works and how he is clueless
-add the power loss and his bumbling attempts to regain popularity
-add his fear and hatred for those who look like monsters...despite looking like a monster.
Hmm... Looks appealing but not quite hitting the mark.
