Red Shadow Claws What kind of location are we starting out at? Is it a town or village? Or just a few tents out in the wilderness?
A few tents in the middle of a desert.

Got most of my character uploaded, just need to spend bonus points and tweak a couple things and she'll be set!
Well, given that how spread out i will be between martial arts, sorcery, and other charms, i am going to have to find every use i can with what I have.Thanks.
Granted, the spell might have more uses for Dragon-Blooded, but hey, it's a Terrestrial Circle Spell.
I would have it affect Chitin and Cartilageous, but mollusks would be immune. Plants are unaffected by this version.

Okay! So of the wood element, it is a focus on the life and death angle. Making it more like a plant shaped vampire shredder hand.
Would it be possible to create evocation for such sorts of control spells to expound on their concept?
Spells that allow you to develop Evocations list it as such, like Wood Dragon's Claw.
Also, going over your character sheet, please note your Martial Arts as Martial Arts - Wood Dragon. In 3e, each style is it's own Ability.
Yep. I remember that one allowed that. Lol though i thought it was funny that wood dragon claws isnt compatible with wood dragon style.
Will do boss! I'm not close to done. I just threw out a basic wip, but ill be sure that is listed explicitly. Does it count as a specialty or is it just a label?
And two more questions for you.
1. Do the great families have any presence in the dragon blooded orders?
2. Would getting a 5 dot manse be a viable option, or would that be something you'd rather us claim through story?
Gotcha! It's only a Label. Each Martial Art Style is it's own distinct Ability.
The Great Families of the Blessed Isle have minimal contact with Zakhara, and seem to snub the local DBs.
You can start with a 5 dot manse, but it's like to be Solar, Air, Earth, or Fire Aspect. Wood Manses and Demesnes are very rare here.
Gotcha!
So in that case I could make up a family name or do you have some of them already thought up for the orders?
Thats perfectly fine! And understandable. However! Looking into things I realized, im gonna need my merits for some sorcery merits and came to the realization that some of what I needed are separated from each other. Mystic martial art merits are locked to the mystic martial art shape sorcery. So couldn't get pact with elemental lord shape and mystic MA merits. At least until I get a second shape sorcery.
Is there a way to get a second shape sorcery without getting celestial circle sorcery? Such as with BP or merits?
Though... I suppose I could by getting Iron circle necromancy, if that is allowed. Even just for the shape sorcery... but that might open an entirely different door.
Understood! So any family name will do in that case, given its more about the order than the lineage?Unlike most of Creation, the people of Zalhara do not really have family lines of Dragon-Blooded, especially since most of them live outside of society in their Orders.
What are Mystic Martial Arts? I am not familiar with them...

Mystic Martial Arts is a sorcerous initiation within the book Sorcerous Ways: Mystic Martial Arts, in the same book as the martial art Empty Mind Style.
One of its merits lets one use sorcerous mores to cast MA charms while another lets one flurry a shape sorcery with a withering MA attack.
I have the book. If you'd like it. Or I can just copy and paste the sorcery.
I went with the Full Moon fighter, but I focused less on brute strength as compared to more on being fast to strike with lighter weaponry. IIRC, we have all been tattooed by our shared master, Sought-But-Not-Found, a No Moon savant. I don't know if you can go with a Casteless in this game; that would be for Red Shadow Claws to answer for you.Hello everyone!
I'll be making another Lunar. I have a few concepts, but I'd like to know roughly what is expected of our characters in regards to the story being told. Is this meant to be a tightly written story with specific scenes happening in a predetermined sequence, or more of an open affair? Are there any areas we must , or is highly recommended, that our characters are competent in (action, intrigue, empire management or whatever)? Are we all initiated in the Silver Pact, do we have the same Shayan-ya?
How do my fellow players feel about niche protection? There's only three casts of Lunars, I think there are five of us? My main concepts are either social infiltrator or warlord, not sure if anyone feels like inclusion of more of those makes things less fun for them.

I focused on thief-based stuff, and less on combat. There us still plenty of Changing Moon area that can be tapped into without bumping elbows with my build.Hello everyone!

Heck, even if there was another thief on the group, each person is going to focus on different Charms and point layouts to make each one unique.I focused on thief-based stuff, and less on combat. Alright, very cool, just wanted to check how people felt. I'll mull it over a bit then start working on the character! I'm leaning social infiltrator right now but that's gonna change 1000 times lol

This is a very helpful break down, thank youThere are 5 Lunars, and one Exigent. The only one that gets full niche protection is the Exigent... The others will have to share. We do currently have two Full Moons, one Changing Moon, and one No Moon. A social infiltrator would be interesting, and so can a warlord, depending on how you go about them. Note that most Warfare Charms are in Charisma, Wits and Appearance. Some do pop up in Stamina, but as Totemic keywords, so you need to comply with the prerequisites of that.
As for the story being told, it will start with you doing missions for your Shayan-Ya, the aforementioned Sough-But-Not-Found No Moon, and yes, you're all initated to the Silver Pact. Once you get your legs, and she trusts you, she will loosen the reins, and will let you have a go at your own desires. Trust me, she would be happy to see you all do your own things, while she gets more free time to work on her own plans. If you read the into Sherwood and Psychie are going through, you might see that she's very eager to send you off, and spread your wings, figuratively or metaphorically, however you'd like.
There are many mysteries for you to explore here, if you so choose, or, once the reins are over, you can feel free to leave Zakhara and explroe the rest of Creation, but that will be up to you.
The game is meant to be a combination of social, combat, intrigue, and mystery. But it also depends on what the players will find interesting to pursue.
Red Shadow Claws
I think I may have found a work around. Would i be able to take Mystic martial arts as a sorcerous initiation. Then purchase the Cloak of Forgotten Midnights(pg124 many faced strangers) as an artifact to use its shape sorcery, or would that just allow access to its evocation?
