An anyone paying attention: sorry for the slight delay. I've been sick (sort've). A tiny burn on my arm turned out to have some type of infection and the antibiotics they put me on for it are just absolutely wearing me down. They actually put me on a different kind which aren't as bad, but my productivity has plummeted to a dead stop from it's normal pacing. Within the next couple of days, I'll spruce some things up, nudge the RP forward a bit, add a few things and finish out some coding/goodies I was working on, hopefully. I'm thinking Thursday/Friday, but we'll see.
 
Alright! This is a PSA to EVERYONE, so listen up!

In the last month or two, a lot of the reasons I have seen people put off posting is because they were "waiting on so-and-so" when that person in turn was waiting on them. Now, this isn't a matter of a few hours. This is a few days worth of waiting.

I can understand some posts in order make more sense, but it's getting to be too big of a drag here. The solution, at least in my head, is simple. If you find yourself waiting, oh say, more than a day on someone else to post--especially when you personally have a really good time to post or are really feeling it--shoot that person a PM. Clear things up. Post order is flexible and sometimes if a person is gonna make you wait 1-2 days for a post, you might be better off posting in the mean time. I consider speed posting when two people in a group of more than two have posted two cycles (so each one of them having posted twice) without the others. This means it's completely safe for you to have the mentality of "well, I can post once now and once later" and that might be more convenient for you.

What's more important is that we don't get ourselves stuck in this mud of waiting on others. I split this RP into smaller groups to cut back on the waiting. But, it's not all up to me. You guys need to use your best discretion for posting and communicate with each other. In the IC, Tim is telling the characters they are parts of teams now. Well, so are you. And, you may need to communicate with your team. Hell, if you want to make group PM's (with or without me in them), go ahead. Take some initiative. This is when you can grab the RP by the reigns and start really being you.

Hey Sir Les Paul Sir Les Paul I know I haven't responded in a long time, and it's a dick move to do so, but truth be told, I'm not exactly sure how to respond to your post? Just in sure of what to do and stuff. I'll still find something eventually, but I'm just letting you know I haven't given up on the thread.

Also ChazGhost ChazGhost it may be equally rude to attempt to dump my inability to post onto you, but if you have any ideas, would you mind posting first? It'd just make it easier for me to think of something.

Sorry if I came off as rude or something, I really am just stuck for admittedly silly reasons
 
I mean, I thought it was a good, kinda inspirational post. You may need to be a bit creative to get into it... But like, I feel like Freddy should be able to respond to seeing Gypsy, the lady that ruined his image, get totally fucked up.

It's not that the post doesn't give me inspiration, it's more so like a lack of focus to it if that makes sense. Like, I can clearly see a middle and end part to my post, just not a beginning to how everything starts.
 
Then make it hazy. The post was in part a time skip because of the end of the Tick and Tock event. Like, if that would have been prolonged, these two wouldn't have even seen Burnham. So I had to adapt. Remember that the goal was just to save you some needless, boring posts getting to the scene.

It's a good thing you asked. Barnum presently possesses the ability to cancel out metahuman abilities in the area around him.

A quick explanation about Barnum. He's known as the Ringmaster and while he has a few abilities of his own, his primary one is the ability to brand his followers and use their abilities when they're in a certain range of him. The downside is that they cannot use them when he uses them. Which is why Gypsy can't dodge his attacks; he's using her precognition. I won't ruin it for you and explain how it works entirely, but as of now, if Drake were to try to use shadows, they would dissipate and if he entered the field, he wouldn't be able to conjure shadows.

Alright, so I made a quick announcement, but I'm going to return here to the main OOC to explain things a bit.

1) I've found myself unable to keep up with Hero Points and I'm two months behind. Some of you had already amassed them in the hundreds, and it's really unfair given you could have bought stuff by now. So, instead of pretending like I can do the weekly implementation correctly, I'm archiving the system until a later date and I'm going to refocus the wasted energy on moving the RP forward more.

2) I'm going to be addressing some of the lack of activity (some people haven't even been online in a month), so bear with me.

3) With my new refocus (you would actually be surprised at how much time trying to tally up Hero Points consumed considering you never saw results), I'm considering opening up another small team. My first thought was revisiting an idea regarding a San Francisco based group of vigilantes, but I've also considered reworking them into a Marvel's Runaways style team. However, given that this group isn't going to be directly related to the Titans, I'm also considering actually returning to another city. I run Gotham, so that would be my first idea. With these things in mind, I'm going to open up a discussion board about this and link everyone so you can pitch ideas or expand on what you would look forward to.
 
Quick update to both Gotham and De Terra: I'll be getting you posts out soonish. I've been talking to new contractors for my next upcoming job, and that generally requires a fair amount of travel and talking to people and all those things I generally hate doing without alcohol and instruments involved, so... yeah.

Alright, so quick explanation of things.

First and foremost, sorry for the delay. Normally I'd be a bit faster to do something (especially for Randomfella whom has been waiting for a post from me), but I have second and first degree burns on one of my hands due to a work-related incident. They're blistered up now, but luckily, they're not as painful or stiff so I can actually type... just very slowly. And, it still kind'a sucks.

That said, I'm going to tell you what I was going to do. Obviously, reply in VIRI. Duh. That's on me. I'll get to it. Secondly, I was going to basically force-skip the entire Redbird team back to the base because y'all are posting slow and getting nothing done. So, current plan is that I'll either get to it, or one of you can do a soft timeskip back to the classroom and everyone just follow suit. I don't care who does it, either. I don't even care if whoever does it double-posts to do it. I just want you guys... moving.
 
I can type with one hand and an index finger. I just have a lot of errors and stuff. lol but it's a pretty bad burn. It'll probably be at least another week before I have a decent amount of mobility in that hand.

Obviously, we've hit a slump, and honestly, it's primarily my fault here. I lost some steam. So, it's time to come to all of you and at least provide a bit of an explanation.

Alongside overloading myself with projects and trying to distract myself with being a player in other games, I found a whole wonderful, new way to use my time that wasn't this RP: Good ole Paul got himself a girlfriend. Crazy, right? As most of you know, I'm also a for-fun gigging musician outside of my job. Since I've met her, I've been playing a lot more--you can probably see why.

However, the relationship has shot passed that magical first month or so, and I've caught myself slipping or cutting corners at work. Decided to reel myself back and, and whoa-damn did I realize how much I've been slacking here. That said, I've come up with a plan.

I'm going to call it the DC Revival because after I finish making my project or perhaps during, depending on how it goes, I'm going to lunge each one of the current plots forward. Basically, I'm going to initiate a set of timeskips that clean up some of the slow sludge around the plots, give them more focus where they need it and more freedom where its been lacking, and put each one of you in a unique, more interesting and higher-potential spot in the narrative.

Yes, I'm still dating and gigging, but the stupid shit I was doing like a 4AM encore session is going to stop. Tbh, most of it was me trying to balance a more devoted music lifestyle with work, and well, you just can't. Work is work and I've fallen behind on my other commitments, like you guys, and I'm going to amend that.

Bright side, I'm now 99% sure I'd make a kickass rockstar if that counts for anything.
