Question: hi this is about the Lore Page. When someone's idea is approved to become official lore, how do we go about posting it? I thought of 2 ways, let me know which one you think is better.

1. The creator of the idea posts it, if it is an idea that multiple people contributed, credits within that post have to be given accordingly. Leave a Cookie/Like if you vote for this one or write down an answer.
Pros: Less wait in posting the idea. Creator has full control over their content.
Cons: If the creator has ghosted we have no way of adding or modifying the info in that post unless I delete and rewrite it myself. Also as the thread piles on it might get less and less easy to look for info efficiently.

2. I am the only one posting on that page. Of course I will copy and paste exactly what you want it to be written and credit everyone involved in that idea. Leave a Heart/Love if you vote for this one or write down an answer.
Pros: Like in my top posts I do tabs and I can better organize everything into categories like have one post for creatures, one for different biomes, one Kingdoms and places etc...
Cons: If I am inactive for a long time you guys will have no way of editing or adding onto the lore. I'm thinking maybe to counter that yall can just post on the page and update/organise however you see fit but yeah and just ignore the posts I made. Or make a new pâge entirely and organise it as you see fit.

{Votes closed on this post}

Alright everyone I'm updating the rules ono the lore page. Your votes have dictated that only I can post lore and categorise it myself as we go. I promise to post exactly what you want posted and credit you and all participants in the brainstorming of that idea. If you don't like the way I organize things let me know please.

Also, I'm going to open up the RP thread as soon as I get some lore posted from all of you. Someone sent me how magic will work and people have started expanding on their character's home locations/where they grew up. Please start posting those here if you haven't yet. What we need to know is:
-Is it a commune, clan, kingdom, city whatever your character's home is
-Vague location in the world (North, East etc....)
-What kind of biome? Desert, meditaranean forest, windy planes, tropical...etc...
-Do they have a specialty? Like they make good wine or cheese or they are a popular commercial point...things like that
-Is it an open to all species community or are there some species that arent very welcomed there?
-And more details! Anything you'd like! Be sure to check in with the lore rules to!
-You can also send me this via DM if you prefer

Your character's home place doesn't have to be voted on unless it concerns other characters/player's places. There shouldn't be a problem for it because, well this is the start and there isn't much in the world of Kirlia right now lmao.

Also, start grouping up with other characters for the incoming start! So that we don't just all meet at the exact same time and we can all naturally come together a little bit later!
Go ham y'all <3

What is Westvale?:
Westvale is a small Barony in the West of a larger Kingdom, Braethia, ruled by the Sylvain family. Hardly large enough to be considered a major power in the Kingdom, the war between the Barony of Westvale and the Barony of Darkmire is considered to be a small internal power struggle and nothing more by the King of Braethia, Lionel Bowstrum.

What kind of Governmental System does Westvale follow?:
Westvale, moreover, The Kingdom of Braethia-- follows the idea of feudal peerage where the ranking of nobility is as such (in order of political power)-
  1. Dukes
  2. Marquesses
  3. Earls
  4. Viscounts
  5. Barons
  6. Life Peerages (Knights)
Above them, of course, rules the King of Braethia to whom all noblemen and women swear to as their liege lord in one way or another. The King keeps a feudal council comprised of the most powerful vassals (sworn lords under him) in order to run the Kingdom based on the strengths of the lands under their control.

What types of creatures reside in Westvale?:
Westvale is home to all notably sentient races in the known world, and as long as they follow the laws as written there is very little discrimination in terms of the written law of Braethia. However, many smaller regions may have differing opinions as their local governments and even the commonfolk may have different experiences or ideas on the matter. Westvale has a history of Water Hags plaguing the swampy regions on its shared North border with Darkmire, and as such many witches and devoutly practicing mages are unwelcome in its lands. In it's southern forests, many wolves can be found in packs that typically stay away from people, but have been known to harass local farmers by killing and eating their livestock; the wolves of Westvale have inspired the wolf's head on the banner of the Barony and the namesake of the elite company of knights that protect the Barony's capital of Dun-Borough.

What is the terrain in Westvale?:
Westvale is a land comprised primarily of crystal-blue rivers, winding creeks, lush forests, rolling hills, and vast plains for farming. Many fields have been transformed into road-side vineyards from which the grapes that make the famous staple of Westvale wine are picked. In the far north of the Barony-- along its shared border with Darkmire, there are marshes and swamps infested with all sorts of ill magical creatures.

What can you find in Westvale?:
Westvale is best known for its grapes grown in the south besides the rich, flowing Rivers of Eda; Those grapes are then pressed and fermented to become it's staple of Westvale Wine. The wine itself is sold throughout the known world for a very high price due to the quality of the ingredients and the reputation its flavor has. Otherwise, it has plenty of fields for growing oats and wheat used for bread and beer throughout the Kingdom of Braethia. Its hills are host to some crude iron mines, but barely enough is mined to make it worth noting.

The towns of Westvale are mostly peaceful cobble roads and thatch houses that are erected alongside bubbling rivers and creeks. Many festivals and celebrations are held year-round, and the people are contented and lawful.

Who Rules in Westvale?:
Westvale has always been ruled the Sylvain family from its establishment only a century ago; this makes House Sylvain a fairly young family in the history of Braethia. However, since it has fallen under the rule of Arnou's father, the land has cemented itself as a wealthy and relatively powerful political player in the Kingdom. The heir apparent is Renly Sylvain.

Relations within The Kingdom:
  • Darkmire - Hostile
  • House Bowstrum - Friendly
Hey! Do I have your permissioon to copy and paste all of this to the lore page? Credits will be given to you.

Understood master! I'll send you the required lore about my character's home location/where he had been wondering as soon as I can. Also if there's someone else who's planning to write something in the North-Eastern regions of Kirlia, we could discuss the details in order to unified and coordinated.
If I feel myself strong enough, I'll write something about either the guild of assassins, the Vileblades which is in connection with my character's past; or about that 'international' organization of bounty hunters which I mentioned the idea of long ago. However since these organizations might have bigger role in the future of our adventure, I propose to vote about those details once we'll have an outline.
Also sorry sorengg sorengg but I successfully confused myself, so if the heart on my message means you liked the idea, then ok. If that means you want your character to meet up with mine, then more than ok and we can start brainstorming and optionally recruit a third member.

Lmaooo, a mix of both, time to brainstorm !

Fragments:
Now first thing first I won't force this further if you don't like it but I would adore if in the first days of our characters' acquaintance they got in a fight with each other just to size up their differences both in power and personality. Plus, it might be just me but it sounds as a fun first impression.

The fact Fade is working as a bounty hunter gives us a great cause of the conflict. Fade may search after someone and get in a fight eventually, maybe thinks that Jac'aal would be who she has been looking for...
But my character can also be the cause of trouble since he's a banished, unsettling creature with impulsive and annoying attitude.

About the setting, it could be a quiet inn in the middle of nowhere where our characters make a big mess or as I mentioned earlier, a boat trip wouod be interesting as well. Another setting which is someone stucked on my mind; a watermill, during a massive flood. A massive amount of area gets underwater and roads unusable caused by the relentless rain and our characters find shelter at the old watermill which has been serving the area's villages. It could be filled with others as well and our characters would be closed in for at least a few day...

I love the watermill idea, sets up a lot of dialogue and interactions.

An idea I was holding onto was that they entered some city in a need for supplies or in fade’s case a target. Problems arise and both were intercepted by the city watch, mercenaries, or just soldiers and are forced to seek refuge.

I love both of ur ideas tho T-T.

So we have two options, each of them allows to be more creative if different aspects:
The water mill is a small, enclosed space which as you said, good for writing great dialogues, building up our characters dynamics and the optional tension as well.
On the other hand, a larger space such as a city is gives our characters more opportunity to act, so the focus will be on the action. However, with your idea of our characters getting intercepted (in case this means arresting them) both the dialogue within the cells and the action on the city's streets can be represented. I suggest our characters get arrested by the city watch but on your part, there's another threat (mercenaries, your target etc.)

Yeah, between those are good, however if / when we get other people to join our little expedition, we can pine out the smaller details.

Well, I'm just gonna throw R'hllor in the mix for whomever wants him to be in thier small group. I'm doing his backstory rn, so when anything comes up Lore wise that might affect any other characters I'll be sure to let everyone know beforehand.

Again, he's open for any plot ideas or interactions, etc.

BTW I really like the race you created there. I like it, I think it should be included. But one question, what is considered "dark magic" in thier case?

Sorry I'm a little behind on the lore and grouping up 😅

I hope to get caught up either tonight or tomorrow!

As the ship cut through the waves, the crew bustled with anticipation as they neared the city of Filman. The captain's booming voice echoed across the deck, "Prepare to dock! Filman's port beckons!"

"So, Riteman, finally laying eyes on the famed port you've always yammered about, huh?" the first mate ribbed, nudging the captain with a grin. Riteman shot him a glare, "Aye, and I'll be seeing it much clearer once you lend a hand with those sails!"

Undeterred, the first mate's excitement bubbled over, " "Ah, the port – a clamor of chaos and beauty, where dreams set sail upon the waves of opportunity. Ships from distant lands come and go, their hulls laden with treasures and tales from far-off shores."

They stopped to take a look at the city, "Ah, Elysium – a paradise for the privileged few, where the air is scented with the fragrance of wealth and the streets paved with gold. So many mysteries and luxuries. Can you imagine the wonders we might witness – perhaps a Lithorian ship or even a Shavari merchant! The stories they could tell..."

Riteman suddenly paused, leaning in, mischief glinting in his eyes, "You know what else would be a wonder?"

Freytha leaned closer, eager anticipation in his expression. "What?"

Riteman thundered, "IF YOU'D LOWER THE BLOODY SAILS, FREYTHA!"

Filman is a port city in the South East divided into 3 parts: the Slums, the Port, and the Mainland. It's a bustling center of trade and wealth with the family of Del Lune presiding over it all for the past 200 years. It is safe to say, the richness of the city is coveted by most.

    - The Slums: Connected to the Main Land and Port through the Ryte Revolution, the Slums makes up the west of Filman. The Slums of Filman sprawl out i a tangle of crooked alleys and ramshackle hovels. Here, the air is thick with the pungent scent of waste and decay, mingled with the acrid smoke of hearth fires struggling to chase away the chill of the night. Narrow streets teem with a motley assortment of beggars, thieves, and desperate souls eking out a meager existence amidst the filth and squalor. Crime is as common as the dirt beneath one's feet, and danger lurks around every shadowed corner. In the Slums, survival is a daily struggle, and hope is a scarce commodity in a world where despair holds sway. (In reference to the picture, the Slums would be at the bottom).

    - The Port: The port of Filman bustles with activity from dawn till dusk. Wooden docks creak under the weight of cargo-laden ships, their sails furled and decks alive with the shouts of sailors and the clatter of crates being unloaded. Fishermen mend their nets while merchants haggle over prices for goods ranging from spices to textiles. The air is thick with the smell of saltwater, fish, and the occasional whiff of something less pleasant. Pickpockets lurk in the shadows, eyeing unsuspecting travelers, while dockworkers toil under the watchful gaze of overseers. It's a place where fortunes are made and lost with each tide, where the promise of adventure and opportunity dances on the shimmering surface on the open sea. Due to the bustling nature of the ports, stragglers can easily manage to stowaway upon seacraft. (In reference to the picture, the Port would be the middle island).

    - The Mainland: Coined as "Elysium" by the wayward Bard Pryte Longwood, Elysium is truly a sight to behold. Known as the Mainland to the locals, is where the well-off folks reside in Filman. Unlike the cramped quarters of the Slums, Elysium boasts spacious streets lined with sturdy buildings. It's bustling with activity, with merchants hawking their wares and craftsmen plying their trade. Bakeries fill the air with the scent of freshly baked bread, and taverns echo with laughter and merriment. While life here may seem comfortable, it's not without its own challenges. Competition among the wealthy is fierce, and tensions simmer beneath the surface as rivalries flare and alliances shift. Still, for those with coin to spare, Elysium offers a glimpse of the good life amidst the hustle and bustle of Filman. (In reference to the picture, the Mainland would be at the top).

Isabel Del Lune, daughter of the esteemed Del Lune family, grew up in the comfort of Elysium, content with her privileged life. Yet, her perception of the city shifted when she encountered a desperate man from the slums begging for help at the port. Witnessing the stark divide between the powerful and the powerless, Isabel was stirred to action. Despite her attempts to persuade her father, a stubborn duke who refused to address the plight of the slums, Isabel realized she must take matters into her own hands.

Venturing into the slums under cover of night, Isabel sought out like-minded revolutionaries, urging them to channel their resentment into a unified vision of a more inclusive city. It was there she met Kael Lilith, a man marked by the hardships of the slums, whose heart softened under Isabel's compassion. Together, they rallied the people, and their tireless efforts led to the construction of a new bridge connecting the port to the slums, a symbol of hope and progress.

However, Isabel's bold actions did not go unnoticed. Faced with opposition from those threatened by the changes she sought, Isabel became a target for assassination. In a cruel twist of fate, during one of her clandestine visits to the slums, she was pushed into the harbor from the newly built bridge. The revolutionaries were left reeling from the loss of their leader, their hope overshadowed by grief and anger. In the darkness of the night, furious cries of Baraya erupted.

//If there are any details that need to be added, feel free to ping me. My brain mush so I may have forgor something. But yeah, dis where my character came from :D

BTW I really like the race you created there. I like it, I think it should be included. But one question, what is considered "dark magic" in thier case?
Thank you! It's basically just any magic that is demonic, necromantic, or draws from dark forces.

Sheraga comes from Norskan, a town considered the gateway to the North in the kingdom of Jarnakkia (With a lenition of "J" so it's pronounced with a "Y" sound. Adjective Jarnakki). Here are the facts:
  • It's a large northern nation with a high volume of hills and mountains. The northernmost regions feature lush boreal forests, plus rich iron and semiprecious gemstone mines.
  • In the more southern reaches, iron-rich water drains from the hills into peat bogs. The biochemical processes here create the only known renewable iron sources in the world.
  • Norskan sits just before a well-traveled mountain pass that leads to frigid northern regions.
  • Humans and dwarves make up the overwhelming majority of the population. They typically don't discriminate against other people unless they look flagrantly monstrous or infernal/demonic, mostly due to superstition.
  • The king appoints jarls to govern regions of Jarnakkia from their homes in major towns and cities. They commonly wear iron circlets to show their position.
  • A lot of bartering happens in the marketplaces—instead of currency, merchants and consumers exchange goods and services. The most common trade commodities include iron, wood, semiprecious stones, furs, dried or salted foods, and hardy grains.

Ermingild is also a work in progress. Not quite sure where to put it, but I'm open to suggestions. It's far from Jarnakkia and nestled in a coastal wetland; it's a warm, wet environment and engineers have been working tirelessly for six years to restore it and keep the elements and diseases out.

Also riwole_ riwole_ horse creature trio!!!! YAYAYAYAYA !!!!! Also for the body type field, I added it more to know how many legs a character has or if they're a lizard or something. In Phyledeia's case she is quadrupedal (=Has 4 leggs she moves around with) :3
And omg I love Theodore and the Ciara shade lmao I full on giggled.

Xen6n Xen6n hell yeeeaaaaah bag of holding mentioned!!!
HORSE CREATURE TRIO!!! MWEHEHEHEEEE-

Nyeh-nyeh-nyeh-nyeh, Ciara fr exploded at the end lmao-

I'm a little stumped on how to integrate Mhairi into the story at the moment. She's open to plotting, if anyone wishes to work something out together.
