I feel like I'm being judged on Aries basis, but I have no clue what she's done so far. Wes, so far, has killed one as far as I know random marine (I think luffy kicks the ass of 30ish in the first 3 episodes, if not more. I also want to point out that he learned armament hardening 500 something episodes in. One character has that now.) Freed himself using his feet, and then dodged a falling shelf. I don't see where the OP comes in so far. I won't be opposing the Author though, but if you want help with general lore you can shoot me a message.DaughterofAthena said:Ok. My reply to this might be a bit long and it also might come as a bit rude so I am apologizing in advance and I will likely apologize at the end as well.
Aries and Wes together have a death count of at least three people so far and one of them was a marine I actually had a very detailed cs for. He was supposed to be incredibly strong but he was attacked and then labeled dead without a doubt all within a single post before I could do anything about it. It kinda upset me, to be honest. That being said, I've had to make villains who are entirely too strong for anyone in the rp outside of Wes and Aries because quite honestly both Wes and Aries have been being played as extremely OP in comparison to the other characters. I cannot run an rp where two characters storm a marine base and kill everyone inside while everyone else who was in said marine base either lost or was chased out. It's just not fair to the other characters. So now you are fighting someone you cannot beat... because I can't let you keep killing people. Not only does it destroy all of the story I have planned, but it also inhibits character development and it puts Wes and Aries on a so much higher level than even the devil fruit users we currently have.
I do realize I should have probably spoken up sooner and that is one of the things I personally know I need to work on as a GM. Usually this is a task I would delegate to someone else, but honestly, I've been running this rp on my own for quite a while now. I'm supposed to have a team working with me, but I haven't been getting much help. I honestly know minimal to nothing about the One Piece world having only seen about 100 episodes and read none of the manga so I have taken quite a few creative liberties to fill in the gaps in my knowledge and to make some very unique villains.
I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, but whether it is a signature technique or not, I cannot allow Aries and Wes to continue showing so much power when everyone else thus far has not done so, especially when there is a significant amount of thought put into the villain you are now fighting. He's MEANT to be someone who even if you do beat him, you do not escape unscathed.
One piece is really not a universe that uses logic. Kicking someone's head into a bar to kill them is possible, I could probably do that given the chance. What Wes actually did was a Rankyaku. He kicked AIR so hard it turned into a sharp wave and cut into the guards spine. This entirely canon. Much like the guns that never run out of ammo and the Tekkai ability. Literally tensing your muscles until you're about as hard as steel. You can actually stop cannonballs with that if you're good enough. Canon.DaughterofAthena said:Ok. A few comments on this. First off, yes, I know Luffy kicked the ass of 30ish marines within the first 3 episodes. That being said, in my opinion those were three of the most boring episodes in the entire series (that I've seen, at least) because there wasn't really a story, there wasn't really a challenge, and there certainly wasn't a lot of character development in regards to Luffy. In fact, I don't think I personally saw any development for quite a while into the anime, and I'd very much like to see development long before we're 3+ arcs in.
Secondly, yes, we do have characters capable of limited armament haki. I honestly didn't know what it was at first so part of the that falls on me. One of them is literally the laziest character in the entire rp. The other is currently a servant to one of the villains. Thus, both are very well regulated in my opinion.
As far as the OP portion, I personally find it OP that Wes was able to kick someone's head into a bar of a prison cell with enough force to outright kill them. That's A LOT of force. Knocking him out would have been far more practical and realistic. What's done is done, though and I'm not trying to complain.
As far as helping me move this rp along, I would appreciate any help anyone was/is willing/able to offer so long as you're actually going to do things to help. I've been through 2 GMs who were either never around, or said they were going to do things and never did. Currently, I have enough stuff put together to get us through the next arc which will still be starting this weekend.

It's going to be a 2 or 3 day timeskip...Thesmashbro said:@DaughterofAthena So, are our characters going to get a little stronger after the timeskip or is it not going to be long enough?

I know the feeling and don't blame you at all. I've been forcing myself to stay on task in my Avatar RP because it's such a cool idea and I don't want to screw this one up.DaughterofAthena said:I'm trying to get off my lazy butt and write a post. It's proving to be surprisingly difficult.
How was the Lunar Revel my friend?simj22 said:Ah, I'm sorry about my lack of activity. I've been roped back to my hometown for Chinese New Year celebrations.
As for your proposed idea, ahhhh....I'd let prizzy file this one.

@simj22 @Prizzy Kriyze I am willing to conceed that you could've knocked my hammer brute unconscious if that is alright with you two. However, you would then have to concede that you either left or stopped wrecking havoc within the base and/or got captured. One of the two. Oh... and Skaya (Wes's sword, I believe?) is nowhere to be found.
A'ight. How 'bout this you two. Let's say we end up knocking this brute out, can Wes grab his hammer with the intention of trading it for his own sword? Because then they could grab it and get out without breaking Wes' character.simj22 said:Ah, I'm sorry about my lack of activity. I've been roped back to my hometown for Chinese New Year celebrations.

What do you mean? It's a bit difficult to roam and search a base in a text-type roleplay, so I'm just assuming that's not it.DaughterofAthena said:I can work with that. Wes would have to find out where his sword is first though.
