On Freud's Footprints [Manoneno1 x LynxAmelia] [Inactive]

Clair nodded a little, quite shyly. She plopped down on the sofa besides him, wiggling her legs a little that were now off the ground. "So what now?" she asked, peering into the paper curiously.

Logan pointed one line from the weird looking newspaper. "..Was found guilty from strangling him death", he read with hem. "What languages do you speak?"

"Huh?" Clair asked. All she saw on the paper was gobbledegook. "English, French, Spanish, Chinese.. And I can communicate with any cat - like animal," she said, "Why do you ask?"

"Just trying to make up small talk and you seemed curious about my newspaper full of gibberish", he wait with a smile and then frowned a bit. "Aww, you won me. I know Valarin, English, Italian and German."

"Valarin?" Clair asked, turning her head a little, "I don't think I've heard of such a language. Is that what this paper is in?"

"Yeah, Elves speak it", he said, giving paper to her. "Not exactly my native language but I studied it."

Clair frowned a little. "Think I'll pass," she said, eying the paper suspiciously, "It is worse than your handwriting," she added with a playful nudge.

Logan laughed. "I suppose I should have become a doctor or do you want to trade handwriting?", he said with a mischievous smirk, hinting towards doctors have terrible handwriting-stereotype.

"I pride myself in my handwriting by the way," she said, wagging her finger a little, "I am one of the few that can write quickly and legibly." Then she resumed, wiggling her legs idly, "What to do..."

"I would too if I were you", he admitted, leaning his hands a bit against back of his head. "So, do you want to do something specific of shall we just get to know each other better? I do pretty boring things on my free time you see. Reading, filling crosswords.. Old men stuff", he said with a small grin. "Young hybrid like you ought to have something more thrilling life outside work."

"I play video games..." she said, turning to look at him, "Pretty good at it." She felt rather stupid for saying that, but it was true, "Lame, I know," she mumbled, looking down at her wiggling legs.

"Well if you feel that you get pleasure from it I think it's not. It's more lame to pretend you get pleasure from something you don't", he said with a smile. "My daughter wanted to play with me some console gsme and well.. What would you expect from 77-year-old!", he said with hem and roll of eyes.

Clair laughed a little, "It's supposed to help with Alzheimer's actually," she said, grinning, "Helps improve hand - eye coordination. And it's fun." She chuckled a little, "At least you could play good ol' Mario."

"Really? I didn't know that. "Ah yes, I know that one", he said with hem. "Lisa, my wife, bought Donkey Kong for my daughter when she was 10. After it she started to love video games and sometimes plays still", he said with a small smile. "But I think it isn't my thing, good thing that I could even open a computer."

Clair started to say something but was rudely interrupted by a loud rumble from her tummy. "Oh dear, is it that time of day already?" she mumbled, glancing at her watch, "I eat way too much but don't gain any weight."

"Lucky you", he said with a hem. "I can make some vegetarian food or we can order something. I'm pretty good at making food."

"I feel I'm being too much of a bother," Clair said, looking down at her feet, "I don't want to trouble you too much. You've already done much."

"I like yo make food but I don't want to make you feel awkward so feel free to order something", he said

"One moment," said Clair, as she pulled out her phone and headed towards the window. After a few minutes, she returned and sat down next to him, slightly closer than she had been earlier, "Hope you don't mind burritos," she said, smiling cheerfully.

"Oh, nope. I haven't tasted one when come to think about it", he said with pout. "I might take a bite if you don't mind."

"I don't mind," she said, taking off her shoes and pulling her legs up a little, "It is quite huge actually, and rather filling. You might actually like it."

"I have never been a huge fan of food. I always pretended my wife's food was good or just remain silent", he admitted with a small smirk.

"That is just sad," Clair said pitifully, "Food is probably the best thing about being alive if you ask me. I love food!" Then she chuckled at her own statement, "I probably live to eat," she admitted, slightly embarrassed.

Logan smirked to her. "I'd still prefer to live without eating but can't turn back, it would be a selfish suicide", he said and shrugged. "Well, there's so many foods in world. They're pretty much a gift for man kind I suppose"

Clair opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by the door bell. "I'll get that," she said, heading to the door. In a few seconds, she returned with a paper bag. "It's piping hot," she said, "Shall we take it inside?" she asked, nodding towards the kitchen.
