On Freud's Footprints [Manoneno1 x LynxAmelia] [Inactive]

Clair opened her eyes again, putting the cup back onto the table. Then she proceeded to tilt her head as her eyes found the professor's. "And what do we share, professor? Our love for good tea?" she said, chuckling softly, "I don't see any reason why you should keep it a secret though, I don't mind anyone knowing." At this she laughed a little and picked her cup back up, only to find a few drops of tea in it. She let out another heartbreaking sigh, following which her pout reappeared on her face. "It's gone too.." she said sorrowfully, before tipping the last of the drops into her mouth.

Logan grinned and hemmed, shaking head softly. "Oh no, no. We both are not fully human, aren't we?", he asked and tilted slightly too, pouring more tea for her. "You are fast drinker I must say!"

Though Clair was delighted at having more tea, she was rather stunned at his discovery. "Huh?" she asked, rather stupidly before forcing a chuckle out of her throat. "No no, dear professor," she said, smiling at him, "You must be mistaken. What on earth would make you say that I am not fully human?"

"You purr and go crazy when ypu see a tree", he listed with a mischiefing grin, sipping his tea again and then shrugged. "It's okay if you don't want to tell. It's not my business", he said wirh a pout "But don't tease an old man and his curiousity, will you not?", he asked with a sad pout, looking him head tilted a bit downwards.

Clair was rather tempted to lie. After all, she was extremely good at it and she'd lied all her life about her little secret. She opened her mouth to utter yet another lie, but she froze, looking at the little man's sad expression. Something about it just tugged at her heartstrings. She certainly did not want him upset over something that he'd probably figure out over time during her course. She closed her mouth with a sigh and looked down at her cup. "I suppose you are right," she said, idly tracing a finger along the rim of the cup, "I'm not entirely human," she said, before lifting the cup once more. "But what is the rest of me is something you will have to find out. I don't think it would be hard though," she said and took a sip, "I mean, the great psychology professor that you are, must have some idea as to what I might be."

Logan raised his hands a bit to ceiling with a pout. "I'm not spesialized in mind reading but I can hypnotize you to tell me~", he said with a mesmerizing tone, leaning his chin in his hands. "Bird? A cat? Worm? Flower?", he asked the two final ones with a chuckle. He liked her company: he was a bit lonely anyway. Looking her with his weary looking but beautiful innocent eyes, he hoped he was right.

Clair let out a tinkling laughter. "I can't believe you are that lazy!" she exclaimed before starting to explain, "If I was in your place, this is what I would've found out : I purr, so I am obviously feline. I love wearing black, so my coat would probably be black as well. A person with an ego as large as mine couldn't possibly have the body of a small cat. I would have to be massive else I wouldn't pride myself in that form. So," she rubbed her hands a little before the finale, "Which big cat has black fur?" she extended her hands a little towards the man and the narrator gave a silent drumroll, "I am obviously a panther. And since I'm not fully a panther, I am a hybrid."

"Hey I like to do math too! Matheticians are lazy, give me a mercy", he said wwith a grin and smiled with a squint as she revelaed her other form. "Really? Pretty, they are! Never seen one in a real life."

"Haha, we prefer not to be seen, only heard, professor," Clair said, her blue eyes twinkling a little. "I assume I would probably get hunted if I was seen by anyone," she said thoughtfully, sipping at the tea once more.

"Oh yes, most certainly", he agreed, fondling his hand painted cup with his pale small thumbs. "They pay muh for them nowadays", he said as he sipped his tea.

Clair nodded, "True that. Which is why I hide. I would like to attack anyone who tries attacking me. But then humans are just too cowardly to meet me face to face. They'd want to shoot me with a tranquilizer, I presume.." she said, shuddering slightly at the thought.

"Yes, no wonder. You must be powerful when transformed", he said and took more his tea. "Technology has become better and all Machos from Australia have died. I guess that's evolution", he said with a smile.

Clair had no idea what that had to do with anything but she simply nodded a couple of times before finishing her cup of tea. She pushed it aside once again and leaned forward onto the table, "When do we start?" she asked eagerly.

"Er," Clair made a face as she looked at the utterly illegible handwriting, "I do think I need explaining, I can't understand a word of this.. literally." Then she sighed and pulled out a pen from her pocket, "Mind if I write all this down?" she asked hopefully, "So that I'll be able to actually read them sometime?"

"Sure, you might learn better like that too", he said with a hem. "I usually write all notes with computer for lectures but I have only handwrited notes from this, even thought it takes me an hours to finish up with the computer", he explained. "Bit if you come upon some question don't be afraid to ask", he said with a smle upon his lips. "Also, I accept persibal questions."

After a few minutes of staring at the his notes, Clair threw her arms up in desperation. "I can't read this. I can't read any of this!" she said, dropping her pen in disgust, "You've got to help me out," she said, "It's far too illegible."

Logan smiled in a slight embarassed smile. "I know, I'm sorry. Read from the book and write own notes, how about that?", he suggested as he closed his notebook. "I wonder is there courses to make your writing look better", he thought outloud with a slight grin. "I would do in my retirement, thought to who would I even write that time", he starred cheerily, but could be seen that a small wave of angst hit him in the end of the sentence. Yes, to no one.

Clair looked sorry for the man again. She dropped her eyes to her lap and mumbled, "I'm sorry, professor." At his last sentence, she asked hopefully, "To your daughter perhaps?" before adding, her hesitance obvious in her voice, "Or to me?"

Logan glanced him with a faint of smile showing in his lips again. "To you? Oh, that would feel like I have two daughters!", he said with a laughter. "I'd love to", he said softly, smiling but still a bit weird look about her suggestion. Why would she do that? They met each other like two days ago..

Daughters? Really? There was no way she could be this guy's daughter. Nevertheless, she gave him a small smile and a slight nod. He was seemingly happy at the thought and she didn't want to ruin it for him. Then, with a deep breath, she took the book and began flipping through the pages, trying to find something, anything, that caught her attention so she could start from there.

Logan leaned on his fist, looking her flipping the pages. "I suggest page 174, you didn't have much about that subject in your folder."

"Page 174.." she muttered to herself, flipping through the pages till she reached it. Once she got to the page, a small growl of frustration could be heard. It was the very topic she was least interested in. Then she let out a sigh before pulling out a sheet of paper and starting to write, chewing on the end of the pen whenever she was thinking. It was a habit of hers, as was biting her lip and playing with a lock of her long hair whenever she grew frustrated or was just thinking.

Logan looked at her doings, pointing one line from the book and gave few tips and pun to remember a few terms.
