The big yellow bus sat in the front yard of Leah's family home. It had been there for months as they worked on it. They had taken out the seats and replaced them with a double bed at the very back, a set of bunks just in front, a long couch, a small kitchenette, and a little table with benches beside it. The school bus was liveable and Leah couldn't be happier. She tossed her bag of clothes on the double bed and climbed to the roof of the bus, sitting and waiting for Noel. This was the beginning of the best summer of their lives. This was their last chance to be kids before college.
Elias walked from his house. It was right next to Leah's. He hugged his mother goodbye and headed onto the bus, throwing his bags onto one of the bunks. "You're going to get yourself killed, Leah!" he called up as he exited the bus again. "Where's that boyfriend of yours? Is he late yet again?"
Terra looked up when she head Elias and rolled her eyes at him, a small smile on her face. She had already claimed her bottom bunk and was sitting on it, reading her latest book.
"He's always late Elias." She called softly in his direction.
A small red car came into Leah's yard, the music booming as usual for the teen. He looked out the window and grinned at his friends, turning the engine off and getting out to shut the door. He made a noise and turned back around, grabbing his bag.
"Sorry I'm late guys!" He called happily, doing his handshake with Elias before walking over and kissing Leah.
"Always." Elias laughed, walking back inside after shaking Noel's hand. The two had been friends for a long time - since he and Leah had begun to date. It was a good friendship. They picked on her together, and they supported her together, and that had made them good friends as well. He smiled at Terra as he walked back onto the bus. "We'll let them have their moment together then set some ground rules for the bus... Like, you know, self control and clothing at all times." he smirked.
Leah grinned down at him, taking a photo of him with the camera that was around her neck. "But you look so damn attractive from up here!" she called down to him. "So very hot. This angle? It's your good angle. I should wear high heels all the time just to look at you like this."
Terra looked up at Elias and laughed at him, shaking her head in amusement. She was the newer member of group, having only met them all a few years ago. She hadn't known she'd grow to be so close to such a rag tag group but here she was and she couldn't be anymore thankful to be with them.
"Ground rules are a wonderful thing." She said, laughing as she nodded her head. "Though I doubt they'll follow the clothes one."
"Me? Little ol' moi?" Noel answered, blinking innocently. "Do I really look that good to my baby? How about if I post like this-"
HE turned, posing like an idiot as he grinned at him. "Or maybe this pose?" He said, switching it up. "Am I doing it right? Do I look beautiful?"
"Yeah, unlikely." Elias flopped onto the bed next to Terra. "So, what's your request for a place to go? I want Disneyland. That's mine. Leah wants the Grand Canyon... What is it that your heart desires, Terra? Mountains or oceans or beaches or something else? Spill your guts, my friend." he grinned at her.
Leah rolled her eyes and jumped down from the bus, landing in front of him. "This view is good too." she mumbled, looking up at him. "Up close and personal..." she took a photo of him. "Though, one day I'll get a photo of you shirtless and then I'll have the perfect work of art."
Terra looked at Elias, sending him a grin before looking up at the ceiling of the bus in thought.
"It doesn't really matter to me..." She said softly. "As long as I'm with you all..." A small smile came to herself before she blinked. She shook her head, her bouncy hair twirling in the air.
"Umm..." She mumbled, blushing in embarrassment. "I want to go to as many weird stores we pass."
"This view is very good." Noel mumbled, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her closer. "At least the view is for me. As for a shirtless picture? You will not be getting it." He teased, poking her nose before pulling her in for a kiss.
"We can do that." Elias told her. "We can go where ever the hell we want. It's Summer. We're free, we're young, and about to be college students with very tight budgets." he smirked and laid back. "Happy days ahead, Terra!"
Leah rolled her eyes and let herself be pulled into a kiss. She loved Noel, and he knew it. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. "It's okay." she whispered against his lips. "I'll settle for every other picture I've got of you." she wrapped her arms around him for another long kiss. "We need to get going, baby."
"We are free to do what we want!" She agreed, throwing her hands up in happiness. "We're free!" She shouted, laughing happily. She jumped off the bed, ruffling Elias's hair and sending him a grin as she ran to the front of the bus, honking the horn for the other two to get on.
"Why settle for the picture when you've got the real deal right here?" He mumbled, grinning at her as he deepened the second kiss. He jumped in surprise from Terra's honking and nodded his head. "That we do." He said. "Come on. We can make out later."
Elias let out a loud laugh as Terra honked the horn. Leah could be heard squealing in surprise. "Get on the damn bus, lovers!" Elias called out, grinning when they stepped on. "So, Terra and I were talking, and we think we need some rules. Rules of conduct aimed at no particular members of the group. Such as, no naked frivolity on the bus at any time."
Leah raised an eyebrow, "Aimed at no one in particular?" she asked, "Seems aimed pretty carefully, if you ask me." she tossed a pillow at him playfully.
"Just so you know," Terra said, looking at them. I had nothing to do with this. I'm simply someone who he decided to bring in as though I made up the rules. So don't hate me. Just hate him." She said, pointing at Elias with a laugh.
"I think it very well aimed." Noel said laughing as he plopped down on the couch.
"I promise you no naked frivolity... When you two aren't on the bus." He said, pointing at Terra and Elias before laughing. "What you don't know won't hurt you my friends- What you don't know won't hurt you..." He said, snickering.
"Oh that is just disgusting. Not on my bed please?" Terra asked.
"We need to make a move." Elias decided, getting off the bed. "So, the question is, what direction do we want to head first? Inland? To the coast? To the mountains? Where are we heading?" he headed towards the drivers seat and wrapped an arm around Leah. "Choice is yours, Terra. Noel can make the next choice. Then Leah. Then me."
Leah wrapped her arms around Elias in return. He was like a brother to her. She couldn't imagine life without him. "Make it a good choice, Terra." she teased. "No pressure. None at all. Except a little bit."
Terra rolled her eyes at Leah, giving an amused smile.
"I want to go... down the coast first." She said, nodding her head. "See the beaches and the beautiful waves!" She glanced at Leah. "I hope that isn't too boring for you."
"Sounds like a plan to me." Noel said, kicking back onto the couch and grabbing his hat to put over his face, a small frown on his face when his face was covered. He uncovered it and a smile appeared. "So who will be the one to drive first? Not me!"
"I got it." Elias decided. "Means I wont have to do it again for a day or two." he sat in the driver's seat and released Leah. "Off you go. Go cuddle with your boy toy." he teased, shoving her towards Noel. "If they're so sweet you need to throw up, there's a bucket under the seat, Terra!" he called as he started the bus.
Leah stumbled as she was pushed, laying down on the couch on the other side of Noel. They had made the decision a few months ago to finally start sleeping together, and it had made them a whole lot more physically connected. It was as if they had only just started dating. "I like the ocean." Leah told Terra. "So how'd your family go with you coming? Everything okay?" she asked Terra as she wrapped an arm around Noel.
"Gotcha captain Eli!" Terra said, saluting to him before walking back towards the back of the bus to grab her book and find a place to read. She figured she could spend a few minutes alone before going back up to socialize. She didn't want to leave poor Elias up there alone with those two but she didn't want to be bothered herself yet.
(Sorry... the question was directed to Terra? "Leah told Terra. "So how'd your family go with you coming? Everything okay?" she asked Terra as she wrapped an arm around Noel.")
((I'm sorry. I'm usually a lot better than this at Rping. I probably need to go to bed xD ))
Terra looked back at Leah and nodded her head, smiling at her as she thought of the question.
"They were fine with it." She said. "My dad wasn't so sure. Especially with the fact of us driving a bus and there being boys. My mom literally threw me out the house." She said, laughing.
"Of course she did." Leah laughed, glancing over at Terra. "Your dad will survive. I mean, Noel wont try anything with you, and Elias is basically a eunuch so he definitely wont try anything." she smirked, resting her head on Noel's chest. "I'm glad you're here, Terra. Wouldn't be the same without you here."
"I am not a eunuch!" Elias complained from the drivers seat as he pulled out onto the highway. "I am a man and I have sexual desires. Why must you torment me so, Leah?!"
"She tortures you because you're so easy to torture." Noel called from under his head before sighing out and dozing off.
Terra laughed at Leah's small joke, walking back over to the group. She placed her book on the floor before walking over to Elias. Patting his head she cooed at him.
"It's okay Elias. We know all about your sexual desires. Such a man you are." She taunted before laughing to herself and going to sit down.
She looked up at Leah and smiled brightly at the girl. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!"
(You really do need to sleep... Your character is Terra... Mine's Leah...)
Leah kissed Noel's cheek before her fell asleep, laying happily beside him as she looked up at Terra. "Yeah, I guess so. This is pretty amazing." she sighed and closed her eyes as well, falling into a light sleep, cuddled up close to Noel with a slight smile on her face. "Talk to you later..." she mumbled before she fell asleep.
Elias groaned and continued to drive, "What about you, Terra?" he laughed. "Is it appropriate that we discuss your desires?" he asked. "Let's talk about something else. Like that date you went on with the hockey player. How'd it go? You never told me."
(*facepalm* Yup... I'm just going to go ahead and take myself to bed now. Sorry about all this craziness. It'll be a lot better in the morning! Goodnight!))
Noel despite being already asleep, pulled Leah closer when she shifted and rested her head on him. He let out a small mumble, his hat falling to the floor as he turned slightly. He always slept well when Leah was sleeping beside him. No matter what had happened that day- if he slept alone he'd toss and turn, mumbling in his sleep. But once he began sleeping beside Leah, all negativity in his sleep went away.
"We're not talking about my desires." Terra said, rolling her eyes with an amused smile. Her cheeks went completely red at the mention of the hockey player.
"Do we have to talk about that?" She whined, glancing at him. "He was a nice guy... Really sweet and kind. He knew how to dress too." She mumbled, a faint smile on her face. "He took us out for the regular, dinner and a movies thing. I enjoyed it and everything but..." She said, biting her lip as she went back to the memory.
