Sheub "Shelby" Mangoza
Cesimir's Manor
Cesimir's Manor
Shelby put up her guard as soon as Cesimir showed that he wasn't as friendly as he let on. The product of bullying. That saved her life as she started moving back as soon as he started using more magic after his performance. By the time he uttered his command, she was ready and got down. The man was no pushover when it came to magic as he summoned magic mines and hellhounds. She dealt with hellhounds as times, as they were a go-to for Orc Summoners back in Kaer Leon. They were fierce and Shelby couldn't toss traps between her group and the hellhounds.
She looked over and saw someone panting for breath already. He must've used some kind of spell to protect himself. That seemed to be the only explanation to Shelby. This was a group test to assess individuals, so she may as well work as a team. "30 seconds!" She moved to the back behind everyone else and kneeled with her crossbow in her arms. This was her bread and butter weapon, the reason she was accepted to join this guild.........and she was in her "kill zone." That's the distance where she can efficiently react to someone trying to charge her and also shoot in a way that could damn near guarantee a hit unless magic was at play. They were easy to find, but pretty hard to set up in and maintain in the middle of a battle, which was why this was always done BEFORE the battle started.
Shelby notched onto her crossbow an Ethereal Arrow. The Holy Magic inside those arrows will hit Hellhounds for devastating damage since they were considered hellspawn. Shelby focused her sights on the hellhounds closest to the panting man on the ground. She would protect him until he gathered himself again. By the time she was done setting up, it was time for action. Sheub was concentrated, her eyes not focused on one area, but looking at the bigger picture and looking for the slightest movement from the hellhounds so she could end one by putting an Ethereal Bolt in its head. This was why she was here..........to join this guild, and she'd be damned straight to the lowest pits of hell if she were sent home on a glorified audition.
