Coming in a little later than you all, but this looks like it would be a great deal of fun! I get little ideas when I look at all of the roles, but the ones that most speak to me are Truth, Valor, and Patience. I will see where my heart carries me when I get down to writing because my brain has a way of taking me to random places lol.

NGL I was always more of a Pokemon kid. The only Digimon game I've played was Digimon World Dusk which was super fun. My favorite Digimon design was ZeedMilleniummon, it was like Missingno being given an actual design which I enjoyed :33

My knowledge of the lore is very spotty, but I am determined to use the wiki to fill in the many blanks.
 
The GM is very knowledgeable when it comes to the topic, Zed. You will not be in short supply of resources. All you need is ask if you need help.

Pokemon and Digimon are still functionally the same with one primary difference.

In the Pokemon show/movies if ever there was a threat of a character feeling like they would die in Pokemon. They magically made it kid friendly. (Everything's just gonna be okay and in the case where it wasn't Ash got turned to stone.)

No death is a real threat here. It will be messy, and it will be bloody. If it's not it's only because they aren't paying the bill for the corn syrup and fake blood spray.

Are Digimon edible or is it a pokemon kinda thing where they leave it vague

I know they’re technically data, but if we’re in the digital world we are also data

Therefore eating a Biyomon is on the table right???

So, yes and no.

They are consumable in the sense that a Digimon can absorb another's power. However, a human eating a Digimon is not real as they kind of just disintegrate into code when killed. If not absorbed they kind of phoenix their way back into existence as an egg appears somewhere and thus they reincarnate.

Food however isn't in short supply despite this. In Digimon 01 there were electronics kind of everywhere in the digital world and infinite wifi to be used before wifi even existed. (Loose wires hung from tree branches that you could hook a computer up to, computer's in an upside down pyramid yes the Egyptian ones, glowing lines of text in fields and forest as if it were it's own holographic chat room/forum) Electronics had infinite batteries and just kind of vibed on some Nikola Tesla type energy. (Don't question it.) So to find a vending machine and man handle it for sustenance wouldn't be too farfetched.

Additionally, Digimon have thanks giving like they're Goku every other weekend. So to see a spread from your local all you can eat buffet wouldn't be something unseen either even if the Digimon lived in poverty. (Again don't question it.)

As in the meat grows out of the ground??? Am I reading this right? What if I am a Karen that doesn't trust the dirt grown meat because of potential GMOs? Is there an option to hunt my meat the old-fashioned way
 
The way the Digital World handles food is weird. There are many restaurants that Digimon open that consist of food seen in the Real World.

How that food comes about is never actually stated; however, it is inferred that it is made up of data and some physical means like Digimon.

Thanks! This did indeed help a lot. Now to make my character a Luddite that demands from waiters that any plant meat is GMO-free and that any Digi-milk used is non-pasteurized.
