ok y’all: what are our thoughts on champions(& lyssa lmao) wearing like specific uniforms/fits when competing like in the films?? bc i think it would be very fun, but we would have to decide for colors because there’s so much overlap between schools and houses for colors

This is amazing!!! Thank you for this! I can 100% see Auguste in these colours. Blue is his favourite colour! I think his tournament uniform would be a pale blue outfit with mint green and silver accents. Like, this colour palette:

and speaking of tournament fits, what kind of clothes do they wear?? Is it kinda like trackies? The triwizard tournament outfits in Harry Potter are so boring imo but obviously they have to be practical so they can't be too embellished. Are we thinking like gym clothes? or something light but hardy, like some kind of military clothing?

I would think that school colours trump house colours, since each school only has one champion therefore they're there to represent the school rather than their house.

So a singlet and mesh shorts for the boys, and a long-sleeved leotard for the girls, which is very compatible to decoration! And it's something form-fitting that allows for a full range of motion. I think actually, it might make sense for the outfit to vary depending on the task! Like, if it's underwater or in the air then they'd probably need something streamlined and/or skintight, but if it's something like the obstacle course for instance they might need something thicker and more durable, potentially something covering the skin to protect them. something flameproof, something more utilitarian, whatever the challenge requires

I like the idea of a kit! Like, they'd still represent the school colours and crest on their uniform, it would just change to meet the requirements of the challenge. I just typed in hunger games area outfit and found this collage:

I think obvs it'll depend on the challenge but I imagine they'd have like, different things they wear for different occasions, including accessories, and some that can be layered!

Pretty basic stuff with the utility belt, cargo pants, and rainproof jacket, and the color switches according to district. And then I think this one is more akin to what Honey was thinking about the wetsuits from the 2nd movie. Either way, though, I agree it would make most sense to switch them up depending on the nature of the challenge but to maintain a consistent stylistic theme. The kit is a really good idea! OOOH yes I love that idea of having to pick from their kit without knowing the challenge! Adds an extra element of uncertainty and chance. I totally forgot about that part of the Hunger Games. Maybe if I can't find a pic I'll draw something up for Auguste myself. Love the utility belt - with a little scabbard for their wands haha

okok so what if there's a hunger games-esque inspired kit? i'm thinking that if we go with a kit there's:

• athletic pants(leggings/joggers)

• sports unitard or two piece(kind of like olympic track and field style?)

which ik is a lot, but it should cover most of our bases(and gives us options for water challenges and winter challenges if desired!)? i'm thinking most pieces are some sort of athletic/sweat-wicking material, with a primary and secondary color for everyone's colors? and i'm totally down to go with either school colors or chosen colors bc i would love both rita in mahoutokoro pink and her in just a very nice purple color

I love this!! Just one thought though, if we're doing the colour of school uniform + accents in house colour, should Theo not have green/silver accents for Slytherin?

I wish I knew Tarot better! I love having readings done but I've never studied it myself. If anyone knows Tarot and ever feels like a card speaks to my characters, let me know!

Alright, friends! Here are my tarot cards! It'll all make sense once the character arcs really kick in!

Sigurd - Judgement

In personal terms, the Judgment Tarot card points to freedom from inner conflicts, and so clear a channel, that the buried talents and gifts of past incarnations can come through an individual in this lifetime. This card counsels you to trust the process of opening yourself, because what emerges is of consistently high quality. You can effortlessly manifest as a multi-dimensional being, and assist in evoking that response from others.

Darweshi - Justice

The Justice Tarot card has to do with moral sensitivity and that which gives rise to empathy, compassion, and a sense of fairness. Since the time of Solomon, this image has represented a standard for the humane and fair-minded treatment of other beings. Often including the image of a fulcrum or scale which helps to balance competing needs against the greater good, and a two-edged sword to symbolize the precision needed to make clear judgments, this card reminds us to be careful to attend to important details.
