[Occam's Razor] [Occam's Razor] Out of Character Chat Area

Ah, well you started out with an idea that was easy to build on...


Mine was an organization based in Japan (go figure) dedicated to taking down the demons that were suddenly popping out of a millenia-old mystic seal...


I had no idea where I was going with it. 
For the sake of Kaz's sanity, it seems that Ranger's switch off between the M4 and the SCAR when necessary.


Though SCAR is supposedly the more accurate of the two. 
Anybody heard from Lt.Col. guy or Toxic?
 
Nope about the heard froms and personal weapons would be personal access. They'd be limited and unless you find compatible ammo for them they'd be useless quickly.

'Purently by the time we went under and all this shit went down, Spec Ops groups (including Rangers and Marines, well Marine Force Recon, not sure which part of the Marines Malcom served in, but he's likely to have at least encountered it before), and probably the entire U.S. Army, if I'm reading it right, would have switched from the standard M4 to it's variant, the M4A1.


Basically the same thing, 14.5in barrel, 30 round clip, 5.56x45mm NATO rounds, compatible with the M203 and M320 grendade launchers...


Only notable differences is the the M4A1 can go fully automatic, as opposed to the M4 which can only go semi-automatic. Though both CAN, thankfully, be set to fire ONLY in three-round bursts.


Blah blah blah, thicker gun profile, blah blah, heat dissipation, blah...


Point is it's slightly more accurate.


What I'm Saiyan is this: I would think that the armory here would be stocked with these M4A1 rifles, along with corresponding amounts of ammunition.


Albeit not enough for an extended conflict.


But you've likely already described what the armory looks like, so oh well.


Or maybe ya just grabbed the biggest guns and ran off shooting things.


Your, though I s'pose technically you did order Nadia to take stock, decision.


TL;DR: Would be some "extra" ammo for the probable M4A1 rifle that Nadi would've packed.

Didn't describe the armory yet but honestly I'm still planning it out.
 
Well, heres the thing, I need to calculate out the soldiers that were on hand when the station was sealed, then I need to calculate out how much ammo they would have spent. I'm figuring on at least 75% of all stores. Then they would have cleaned their gear, consolidated what was still salvageable, and put it in storage before going to sleep.
 
I s'pose that would depend on the actual scope of the complex.


How many floors are there, ten?


Two of 'em are stuff, another is research, and one with the CC and armory (are they on the same floor, I'm recalling we're on floor three).


Leaves six-ish floors with pods shoved shoulder-to-shoulder.


Not sure what the military/civilian would be.


Guess it would depend on if the military wing/level is the same size or larger than the other floors...


Too many unknowns for me to help...
 
Floor one is command structure, Floor two is a mixed floor with Military wing, support personnel, and then their effective rooms (Bathrooms, living quarters, mess hall, the armory, the secondary laboratory, engineering, and a few other scattered rooms. It's the most expansive of the sections in the complex by far. From there down, it's all Cryo until you reach floor ten, which is Mass Storage. It's a huge open area that houses food, water, fuels, and other equipment that normally wouldn't be seen other places. It's accessible via a freight elevator. There are floors below this, but that's spoilers. I'm not explaining ANYTHING beneath floor 10 until we progress further. If you feel up to it, Design the armory. Keep in mind we had the remainders of the Army and the Marines guarding our front door, half of the remaining troops went into cryogenics at this point, (Or were supposed to) The other half was sent out to the next complex to aid in it's sealing. (Or was supposed to) Colorado is the last facility that was sealed. The losses were too heavy to get an more troops to the next complex and any further complex's designed were either sealed early, or lost from there on out. Which decimated the population.

Okay so It seems that several of our players have gone dormant. So I'm going to do a few things to see if I cant kick this back into gear. Firstly, I'm going to tag everyone I can in the play in here. Secondly I'm going to start a vote. I'm either going to A. Continue the play as it is, or I'm going to accelerate events. Good, currently nursing a very painful and possibly sprained wrist.


Fell earlier today while attempting to rollerskate...


Left hand took most of the impact, hurts like all get out.


It's really annoying, I can't even pick things up without breaking out in a string of muttered curses or small whimpers.
