Hello! Welcome to Nova Aetas! I am Camdo! The mastermind behind this RP thread I have made (which is obvious
). I am generally new to the RP Nation community, I've bene infrequently been off and on, but now with more time on my hands, I have more time to dedicate to this site! So I've decided to embark upon creation of a pet project, roleplay, a world I have been making for over some months now on my own time. This project is relatively new and is definitely not finished quite yet. I am posting this rather more along the lines of getting a following, seeing how the general idea I have for this RP is. ~<:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:>~
Now, for some questions, you may be asking!
1) What is Nova Aetas?
Nova Aetas is a low-fantasy world set in the year 1512. The World where the RP will be based will be on the continent of Nova Aetas (creative). A continent heavily divided by different races, ethnicities, religious, and general ideology in an upheaval of geopolitical turmoil. Set in the age known as the Minas Ultima, basically what we would call in our textbooks as The Renaissance. An era of Religious Enlightenment, Technological Advancement, and a new dawn of Warfare. Not only those but aswell as a greater advancement in the arts of magic or the arcanic arts as you would that has never been seen in the world so far.
2) What can the players expect from this?
My envisionment is rather to craft and build this very elaborate, lore-riddled in-depth world rather where you can do a wide-sweeping assortment of things to partake in. I want it to be a world where you can freely explore all the different states & terrain that hopefully can be perfectly captured through means of vivid imagery. Rather than making this a nation-building RP, I want it to be a character-based possible guild-roleplay or just a general character roleplay, with the goal of having the actual players influence on-going affairs across the world. From affecting just small local things to participating in geopolitical-groundbreaking events that will change a course of a nation or nations to be specific. I want to make it dynamic. Yes, I know it seems very ambitious, but this is after all an experiment to see if something like this can be possible.
3) When will everything be ready to launch the RP?
To be honest, it may take awhile to get this thread asserted and established. Lore still needs to be typed up, I need people to volunteer and help work on the threat to make it nice & organized so it's easy to access. I'm most especially gonna need you, the community whom I hope can accumulate to give me feedback when I post an update on how things are.
