Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Duuuuuude your lore post on magic is INSANE! So detailed and awesome, thanks for the hard work *hugs*

Stop trying to convince me to make a mage! xD

I’m sold on making a mage I feel I’d be commuting a crime if I didn’t XD. Well done, Kylesar1 Kylesar1
But but but I'm already almost done with my medic-slightly-assassin character xD

But for real though, I'm staying with ma boi Teonor and you can't stop me :angryfrown:
Might possibly maybe make a mage later on though, just saying.

I don’t want you to switch lol.

Since magic seems to be such an integral part of the world, will all classes/Nightingales have some kind of connection to it, or does it only apply to magicians and engineers?

Everyone can use it
However, only dedicated mages will be able to use directly offensive magic. If the magic can kill on its own, only dedicated mages can use it

A non-mage can't shoot fireballs, but you could, say, project a small wall of flames for enemies who like to charge. It's utility and augmenting purposes

Very very basic stuff

Shoot an icicle
Throw a weak fireball
Conjure a ball of light

Stuff like that. From the beginning, a trainee mage doesn't have a focus, so they'll learn all the basic stuff from elements before they start to focus on the one element they want to use

ah cool, thanks!

'm thinking of making an engineer character - how much magic would their weapons/tools be able to harness and use?

Oh alright then. Thank you for clearing that up lol.

Magitech depends on what you put into it. Magic-imbued crystals or rounds from their own mana. Pretty much whatever element you want in a crystal.

Them getting stronger is more them getting more creative. Their weaponry will be able to exert more or use less or load more and different types of crystals to change elements. Starting out though, you'll have a peashooter/dagger of one of the natural elements. You'll probably have to carry around a lot of crystals and maybe a backup weapon in case you destroy the weapon by trying to input mana and don't do it right

Magitech is made to emulate magic with less strength but a lot more versatility and overall training
For the weaponry available later on, just go steampunk. Just nothing that can operate on its own. That's for actual magitech engineers

My character will most likely have a written appearance lol. So no photo to adore.
That's perfectly fine lol, I think that written appearances tend to leave more to your imagination. I usually write a paragraph alongside a picture, but I got lazy this time, especially since I already wrote too much for Teonor's biography xD

Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Can you add the history of those epic battles into the lore section please? I feel like they seem like important significant events in the world's history. Also both your trainee's familiar and the trainer's familiar are called Misty? I feel like I may get confused between them lol

Since mages are allowed two elements, does that mean Elemental magic must be one of them since its what the trainee’s are taught in the beginning?
