Night of a thousand stars

"Hm?" He looked up," The Hunger Games... It's real interesting" (XDD) Laharl scoffed," Y'know, Aly, most boys sleep without shirts," he said, waving his arms around randomly. Bleu flipped the page, reading intently. Laharl noticed Aly figiting, kinda uncomfortable about them lying around without any shirts. Laharl yawned and stretched," M'kay Bleu, let's go to sleep," Bleu looked up from his book and sighed an okay. He stood up and closed his book, nodding curtly.

(Hunger games :P )

Aly was a bit embarrassed that they had noticed her discomfort, but she nodded and said "Good night guys" she rolled her self under the blanket and wished Laharl and Bleu a good night.

(Skipping to monday)

Aly awoke early that morning, dissapointed that her weekend with the brothers was over. But she got up and and smacked the nbutton on her alarm. She walked over and banked on the closet "Hey Laharl, get up, we're going to school" She went to her bag and pulled out the paper which she had her stepfather sign without him knowing what it was. It was a paper that would sign Laharl up to attend the school...legally. She put it back in her bag for safe keeping, she was going to make sure he had a good education if it killed her, if Laharl did good his parents would let him stay.

She got up and knocked on the closet door again "I hope you're up, if not then don't make me come in there and drag you out" she threatened. She then went to get dressed and ready for school, her stepfather would be sleeping so he wouldn't notice them here.

"Hargablarghhh...." Laharl grumbled as he stumbled out, in his usual bedhead and ruffled-up clothes," Wait.. Whaaah-?" He asked. He had heard sonething about school, and he jolted up," I-I'm attending school?!" He squeaked and ran back up, changing quickly into more proper clothes, which was a dark green hoodie with a pair of cargo pants. Why hadn't anyone told him?! Laharl was both scared and excited. He'd get to spend the entire day with Aly! But there was the other thing. Education. Laharl facepalmed and muttered sonething. He had lied to Aly when they first met, and now he was paying the price. He sighed. Better tell her the truth. "Aly... I've been meaning to tell you something." He started, glumly and a bit depressed," I-I'm not online homeschooled. When my parents sent me away at 10-11, I haven't gone to school since..." He said the words carefully and was obviously guilty. What had he done?

She glared at him "Seriously?" she rolled her eyes "Well, you're still coming with me, you're not staying in my house causing havoc with your brother. And if you wanted to come with me in the first place, you'll have to do it legally or they'd kick you out" she wondered what happened between his parents and him and why he wasn't doing the normal things all kids did, but he wasn't normal anyways. He was Laharl.

"Well c'mon Laharl" She made her way into the kitchen and grabbed a poptart, "If you want one, grab it" she said as she took a bite and headed out the door with her backpack. They arrived at the bustop, and kids were standing off to the side and giving her sidelong glances more than usual, but she suspected it was Laharl they were staring at. "And by the way, I suggest you duck on the bus" There were often a lot of flying papers and objects.

Laharl nodded and noticed the kids giving him weird glances. He stuck out his tongue, but made no other attempts of making faces at him. When they walked into the bus, he realized Aly was right. There were random objects being thrown this way and that, and it made him giggke a bit as he looked at the busdriver. The busdriver looked like a human potato.

He strode in, quickly picking out a seat in the back, and grabbed Aly's wrist. He sat in the window seat and pulled her over beside him. Laharl didn't know anybody, and he was much more comfortable with Aly anyway. Laharl looked around, strange faces gave him more looks, and Laharl ducked back down for two reasons. One for the flying objexts, and two for the people who stared at him like hungry owls.

Aly figured this would happen, people were stupid as usual but throwing things happened more frequently today now that Laharl was here. She giggled "Hey, watch this" She pulled out a pen from her bag and when no one looked threw it at the bus driver, and then ducking under the seat. "Who threw that?" grumbled the crabby old lady, a lot of the kids looked around but didn't know who started it "If anyone throws anything else I'm going to pull over and..." she went on threatening them and they all became silent.

Aly laughed "Works every time" she grinned

(THREAD REVIVAL!!!)

When had got there, Laharl saw a big building, and it was much bigger when he remembered it (when Laharl followed Aly to school) then something crossed his mind. What would the other kids think? Was he too weird? Bleu is lucky! But he decided just to follow Aly. He remembered Aly's friend. What was her name? Oh well. Laharl jolted as the bus skidded to a halt, and he held his breath.

"C'mon" she prodded him to get moving and they navigated through the crowd and into the hallways. She made her way to her locker, pulling a few books out. "I tried to get you into the same classes I was, but chances are we might have to get split up in a few." She giggled and added "Unless you can use your magical powers and rig that too" a few popular kids gave them a look and shook their heads in disgust, probably thinking they were some roleplay nerds or something.View attachment 8579

They went to the front office and she retrieved the schedule, perusing the list. "We don't have third and fifth period". She gave him the piece of paper.

(that is exactly what we are xD my cousin called me a nerd and I went liek: "EMBRACE IT! EMBRACE THE DORKNESSSS!")

Laharl nodded as he was handed his scheduele. "First period... Homeroom.." He said, mumbling a bit. The teacher's name looked slightly hard to pronounce, but he went with it anyway. Laharl held a big breath and said sonething undrr his breath. He held a firm stance and clutche dhis paper tightly, wishing in his head this day would turn out okay.

She looked at Laharl's paper "Don't worry, it'll be okay. If anyone is a jerk to you just forget about them and think of me, okay?" She looked at the time, the bell would ring soon. She made her way down the hallway when a few of Carla's friends had shown up.

"Hey you, why are you still with that loser, Lahurl?" they giggled. Aly narrowed her eyes and stepped up to defend her friend. "It's Laharl! And he's not a loser". Usually they just ignored me, but today they took the liberty to diss Laharl. One of them rolled her eyes "Whatever, I don't even know why Carla is trying to be friends with you anyways" They took off leaving them behind.

I sighed "Well...not everyones all that great, forget them".

Laharl spat, only loud enough for Aly to hear," People like them deserve to be thrown in a ditch," he hissed, obviously ticked off at those butt-face girls. He sighed, shoving the thought behind him. Deep inside, he wanted to kick them in the face, just to throw them a pirce of their own medicine. He didn't know why, but the thought of other girls picking on Aly really really pushed his buttons. Laharl blinked and grabbed Aly's wrist, leading down the hallway, away from thise rotten girls.

She sighed, "Yeah, I know. They've probably been thinking negatively about me all this time. The only reason they weren't any worse to me is because I know Carla. She shrugged, looking back at Laharl, if anything, she felt hurt that they were mean to him. What was wrong with Laharl? Sure the red hair was out of place, and she wasn't sure what was up with the band-aids, but Laharl was sort of...handsome. Before she could ponder the issue any longer, Laharl took hold of her wrist. "L-Laharl, where are we going?" Where could he possibly be taking her?

"To class, silly! Don't wanna be late, no?" He snickered, turning back and smiled. He came to the classroom, where most of the students were already there. He came in, avoiding any eye contact to anyone. Laharl chose a desk, and sat in it. It was near the back, for he didn't want much attention. Turning to Aly, he said," So how're the peoplw here? Hope they're not as bad as THEM," He stressed the last part, indicating toward the girls they spoke to earlier.

She sighed "Most of these people just stare, whisper about you, and stuff like that" she shrugged "There's not really much they can do in the classroom with the teacher around. And even outside of it the school has a good 'no bullying' rule. But that doesn't stop a lot of these people from being jerks". She glanced around, and sure enough some kids turned their eyes away just as she looked at them. Just then the teacher shushed the class and began to drone monotonously. She sighed as she tapped her pencil on the desk and took a few math notes every now and then. She turned her gaze to Laharl and whispered "This is probably the most boring of all the classes" she sucked at math, and she hated it a lot.

Laharl groaned and agreed," Urgh yeah..... fractions...numbers..dinosaur...dynamite.." He slurred and fell face-down onto his desk, falling into a quick slumber. Like earlier said, Laharl becomes tired easily, and this math class was even more boring than Bleu's lectures.

(BRAINDEAD DDDX)

Aly laughed at his comment, the teacher spoke up "Ms. Lyndel, would you like to share the joke with us?" Aly blushed as she was put in the spotlight, "uh....no, it's nothing." she mumbled. The teacher nodded, "Can you tell me the Cosine of 90" she shifted nervously in her seat, "It's, 0?" she asked. The teacher nodded, "Very good, now as I was saying" she droned on again and she let out a breath of relief, "That was close" she snickered. She remained mostly quiet for the next few minutes until the bell rang. "C'mon Laharl" she pulled him out of the seat as everyone filed out of the classroom, she looked at the schedule, "We have a 15 minute break, and it's only two more periods until lunch." She leaned against the wall. Normally she'd just go straight to class, but now she had fifteen minutes to kill with Laharl.

Laharl awoke with a jolt," Uwah-?" He exclaimed, realizing and remembering he was in school. He stood up and stretched, yawning a bit," Aahh... What- where are we goin?" He said kinda sleepily. He was slightly drowsy but awake nonetheless. Laharl gathered up his belongings and had an idea," How 'bout we go on an adventure?" He giggled excitedly. Pulling Aly down the hallway, and stood infront of a door that was plastered in big white letters 'TEACHERS ONLY'. He knew this was where the teacher hung out for coffee and socializing and whatnot. He snickered and opened the door, after checking that no one was around to see. He led Aly inside and saw a soda vending machine. Teachers always got the good stuff. He had a bright flash in his eyes as he said," Let's rig this vending machine!" He said. Laharl meant for it to be a harmless prank, but things sometimes go wrong. So he had Aly. Double teamwork power. Boo ya.

Aly's eyes widened "No way! Are you serious!?!" she pondered the whole situation for a moment. This was bad, this had the potential to go horribly wrong and land them in trouble. But the idea seemed dangerous, beyond what she would normally do, the thought of it made her feel empowered. "Let's do this!" she said. She waited for his next move "Well, what do we do first?" she asked.

Just then she heard the jangle of the doorknob opening "Oh no! Hide!" she whispered loudly as she opened one of the cabinets and rushed both of them inside. It was a tight fit, she had to bring her knees to her chest and bend her head, but they were safely hidden, her heart thumped wildly. She heard footsteps as someone walked in. She wondered what they wanted and how long they'd be in here, hopefully not long, or they were screwed. It would only make matters worse if they ran out of stirring straws or cups or napkins up there, then they'd be forced to reach into the cabinets to get extras and then they'd be found out for sure!

Before he knew it, Laharl was shoved into the cabinet, oddly close to Aly. He brought up his finger in a silent hush. "They'll leave soon... hopefully," he said in a hushed whisper. Laharl stuck his hand out of the cabinet and poked the person who came in in the ankle. The.person squealed girlishly. He stuck his hand back in and giggled excitedly. "Ttch! Scaredy cat..." He whispered.

She stifled a laugh as there was some shuffling, probably the woman looking down to see what was there. Luckily, she didn't think to look in the cabinets. She appeared to be having coffee. It was taking longer than Aly expected, and she shuffled in her cramped position quietly. Finally, after what seemed like forever, the woman vanished. "Phew!" she said exasperated as she left the cramped space, trying to help Laharl out. "Now, about the machine?" she said.

"Alright," Laharl said as he strained to get out clumsily, almost falling over. "Alright, here's the plan: Replace the sodas with mentos, and fill the opening with coke," (y'know, the opening you put your hand in) "When someone purchases a soda, some mentos will fall in its place, falling into the pool of Coke, then KABLAM!" Laharl explained," But don't worry. The explosion won't be that big, and will just be fizzy water and candy. Plus, the explosion would takke place before they put their hand in, so no one gets hurt," Laharl did enjoy messing with people, but was never a fan of injuries. He skipped over to the refrigerator and pulled out a liter of Coke, and pulled out a handful of mentos and a screwdriver from his pocket," Got the plan?"

Aly giggled "Sounds like a good plan, where are we going to get the mentos?" she looked around the room a little bit. She thought of another thing "Also, how are we going to see someone fall for the prank? Will we get busted? I wonder what teacher it'll be?" she had a million questions and they all tumbled out one after another. She smirked at Laharl and wondered what would happen after all this.

Laharl pulled out a handful of the candy from his pocket, grinning," Way ahead of ya!" He thought for amoment of how they would get to see the action, then snapped his fingers. " I'm just gonna hack into the school's security cameras. Piece 'o cake~" he said, motioning silently into a little camera in the corner and shugged," I doubt anyone even goes into the security room, anyway," Laharl said. Laharl then realized he must have been going all nerdy at the moment, and assumed Aly was just going along. He then explained," Well, you could say I'm good with computers. Like when I hacked the school's database to find your adre--- nevermind." Laharl spewed out, having a minor panic attack when he almost admitted he'd go that far into finding where someone lived. He scratched his head, laughing quietly," Let- let's go then,"
