You have all been summoned to the top of Hart Tower, owned by Wolfram & Hart Inc, a beautiful tower that like many other towers overlooks the city.

Wolfram & Hart is a corporation that manufactures goods and products and has honestly seen better days. Thanks to the unspeakable events of Season 204, many corporations managed to gain an easier entrance level into the Firm business when it comes to owning and setting up heroes. Wolfram & Hart is taken a massive risk in stepping out of the comfortable zone, considering that there are more popular firms out there with established heroes and entering this market is hard.

Whether you are new, or a veteran in the hero business, your contracts have been snatched up by Wolfram & Hart due to the events of Season 204, which caused the death of many superhumans during the final episode. It was never properly aired either as before the incident occurred all of the NEXT filming drones and systems went offline.

Of course only those with the sufficient authority and privileges know what really happened. Most heroes that weren't present at the event and the general public only know that the NEXT's Director retired and when such a powerful person makes sudden unexpected moves in the business world, other companies go under and heroes get left with out jobs while others replacement if they can't properly respond fast enough. Corporate politics is hard.

Once you got into the building and went up to the 372th floor, you met with your new agent's assistant who directed you to a lounge waiting room.

"Agent Johnson will be in shortly, please make your selves at home" said the blonde woman as she returned to her desk.

Inside you found pretty much anything you could want to make your wait comfortable along with another Superhuman.

Roger, The Butterfly Man, new comer that was supposed to begin last season and had a really promising career but that all got wrecked in the chaos of his firm falling apart. According to studies performed by his previous former, he was extremely popular with the female demographic.

For anyone who kept with up with the ever changing rotations of heroes, even though some never got in, even if hired. Roger is an extremely potent fire user, able to generate and manipulate flames, but mostly in the shape of butterflies. Most think it has something to do with the butterfly that is always on body, a beautiful monarch butterfly that is currently resting on one of his cheeks while he napped on the Sofa. The butterfly stirred a bit at your entrance and turned to face you all.

The young man kept sleeping though, one of his hands hanging out over the side of the soda holding his mask.

Powers:

Flight - Manifest butterfly wings made out of fire

Speak with Butterflies

Blast - generate moving fire balls shaped like butterflies that fly at their target

Various other unknown powers

OOC Post:

Guys, you can be wearing your costume, or not, you can be wearing an old costume if you belonged to another firm in the post, and the current one on your sheet is the one you'll get once you settle into Wolfram & Hart.

If you do come in costume, it is usually respectful to remove your mask when you are in the presence of your Agent or other being that owns your contract, because they own you and you do not hide your face from them. You also usually remove your mask when you are alone with other supers like this.

Also I'm not enforcing any standard posting template yet. Please just pick a color for your dialog and stick your character's name some where at the top of every post, so we know who you are.

EDWARD, THE PALADIN

Edward sighs as he enters the room. He is sometimes still shocked by how far the world has come, despite living through it. Still, he supposes that the current state of affairs isn't all that new, despite its high-tech flair. Knights need lords, whether they're in a castle or a skyscraper. Edward sits down on a comfortable chair and waits patiently. He is currently wearing a light jacket and pants, hardly the image of a superhero. After a few minutes, he gets tired of waiting and pulls out a gaming system and headphones, both several years out of date, and begins to entertain himself. Most people need sleep, so he wasn't about to wake butterfly boy before he had to.

Vincent Mithras/Imperator

Vincent walks into the room as well, likely the largest figure there with his height overall olympian build. He walks over to a seat and drops down into it while pulling out his smartphone to check up on some news and emails. He hated these sort of meetings, especially with their latest would-be masters ready to give orders. He favored a black t-shirt that hugged his strong upper body along with some grey jeans and black shoes. He let his gaze wander to the sleeping hero but left him alone while he started to look at the others now, curious to see if there were any familiar faces among the new hires.

Heather Lockfield/Havoc

The young blonde woman had a contract with another firm towards the end of the season, but she never did get to debut. She doesn't even have a costume, given the events of the prior season. Heather is dressed in a button-up shirt and a pair of simple slacks, and this is what she considers 'dressing up'. She notes the famous fire hero, remembering how annoying it was to have girls around her talk about him all the time. Heather's not a fan, but she respects him for what he does.

The wind hero runs a hand through her short hair and eyes everyone in the room. But it's a fleeting thing, since as soon as she sizes them up she goes back to staring off into space.

Richard Farnsworth, Merlin

The young looking man strode in with a strong self confidence. Wearing jeans, a long sleeved collared shirt, and an red hoodie he didn't exactly cut the most refined of figures- but as he flipped back the hood and reclined in to an plush chair with a relaxed aplomb, he smiles faintly, and waves to the others. He doesn't speak, just smiles and waves politely. He then flips the satchel he'd been carrying over his shoulder in to his lap, and extracts it's single content- a massive, leather bound, blackened seeming tome. He flips it open and begins to read.

Johnathan Ulfritched, Patty: Witch of West Dublin

The leggy witch, much like Havoc, had a contract with a firm, but didn't actually get a debut. She's wearing a rather generic witch's get-up, and carrying her broom and wand at her side. She entered with a look of wide-eyed excitement on her face, she is bare-faced, and little gives away her masculinity. She sits down on the sofa, practically bouncing before she settles in. As she looks around, getting a feel for other heroes in the room, she gives a smile, and a wink to Vincent, Richard, and Edward, in time, before eventually growing bored, and making her way over to the minibar. "Cocktails anyone?" She asks in a bubbly tone, pouring herself out a fancy little feminine drink. "I know a thing'r'two about 'em!" She asks, the Irish accent apparent.

Her broom leans on the side of the couch, aside her hat and wand.

Amira Darzi / Lurk

"Oh no, am I late?" An earnest face peers around the door into the room. "I'm so sorry, we just got a bunch of new volunteers at the soup kitchen, and I had to finish up their orientation," she continues, entering the lounge. "And then I was finishing their paperwork, and I totally lost track of time. I'm so sorry. Oh, and you're already serving drinks. Fudgemonkies, I knew I should have had Siri remind me about this meeting."

She rocks back and forth on her feet as she surveys the room, looking for all the world like a kindergarten teacher in her sky blue sweater vest and jeans. The only thing about her that's particularly noteworthy is the eyepatch over her right eye. She finally spies a familiar face, the other one in the room who was an old hat at this whole "heroing" business. There was always the Paladin, but he was in the middle of something.

"Vincent, hey!" she says, crossing the room and perching on the couch's arm. "Did these guys buy your contract too?"

Johnathan Ulfritched, Patty: Witch of West Dublin

"You two know eachother?"

The witch fixing the drinks asks, as she goes to pass a cocktail along the bar to her. She gives a look back and forth between the two.

Heather Lockfield/Havoc

That catches Heather's attention. She raises a brow and turns toward those that actually started talking. Heather eyes the two or three responsible, noticing the rather lax dress everyone else had on. Feeling over dressed, she quickly unbuttons the top two buttons of her shirt to look a little more casual.

"It isn't odd for them to know each other."

Lillian Harry aka Storm Whip

The calls had come five minutes apart. First from Star City Electrical Power & Gas saying that they had sold her contract for an undisclosed amount and they appreciated her efforts, but they needed to pursue other avenues. Then, still within the period of shock, another phone call from Wolfram & Hart asking if she could attend a contract meeting. Then a call from her boyfriend asking if she had been fired and would she still be able to pay rent. Apparently he had some items that he had been keeping there despite having virtually moved out weeks ago.

She wore a red and grey stripped dress that kept most of her cleavage covered, wrapped a black belt around her waist and put on a pair of black kitten heels. Last thing she needed was to stumble in the doorway. It wasn't quite business attire, but she had never been much of a corporate worker, her role of a superhero aside. She just dressed in the best she had that wasn't date-worthy. She kept her hair loose to her shoulders, thin braids mixed with the long black hair. It was a bit plain.

"Hello?" She entered the room a bit tentatively. She hadn't expected others to be present, but she recognized the Butterfly Man and knew she had to be in the right place. She froze for a moment to consider what she should do next, then entered the room. She gestured at the sleeping hero, "is that really...." She never finished the sentence, stopping for a second to consider the futility of asking.

Vincent Mithras/Imperator

"Yeah, looks like we're both getting dragged in on this one," He replies with a chuckle as he looks back over at her. It was nice to at least see one familiar face he'd dealt with before this. He'd seen a few of the others as well, but there were just as likely to be new faces now. He looks over at the others conversing now, giving a nod to the one question posed towards them.

Heather Lockfield/Havoc

Again, Heather looks over to the newest arrival. Well, now she doesn't feel so over dressed and it causes a smile to tug at her lips. Running a hand through her blonde locks, Heather turns to everyone. "So, I guess introductions are in order. I'm Havoc and I'm new."

With that out of the way, the young woman causes a breeze to run through her hair just to show off. "And I can control air. But I more specialize towards creating vacuums."

Richard Farnsworth, Merlin

He looks up, as introductions are mentioned, and then smiles. He closes his book, with a faint and wistful sigh. Then he looks up, and chuckles. "Well, I've been contracted under the name "Merlin", so I guess we'll see how that works out. I'm new too- something of a Dabbler in Magic, you might say... I've an assortment of... spells, under my command- but command likes em Flashy, so it's the flashy ones I keep memorized."

Amira Darzi

Amira giggles. "Oh, yeah. You know how it is, you show up to foil a bank robbery, another hero's already there, you wind up working together, and the viewers love it. Whatelycorp spent the next season trying to get me to team up with this big lug." She punches him affectionately on the shoulder, then pauses to listen to Mei.

"I'm Amira Darzi," she says, waving and shooting the cute Irish witch by the bar a wink of her own, "though you might know me as Lurk. I've got some nifty little tricks I picked up from an old god trapped eternally in another dimension. Mostly telekinesis and teleporting." She smiles and crosses her legs, as though she hadn't just claimed to be the violent, brooding antihero that had been a favorite among the 16-18 year old male demographic two years running.

Lillian Harry aka Storm Whip

Lillian smiled and nodded as each gave their name and power. She didn't see any of the members of the firm present so she dropped her practiced American accent and spoke with her French accent in full force. Her SCEPAG speech coach would have been very disappointed if she were still under contract. "Oui, I zink I saw you at ze bank robberrie. I was covering ze rooftop." She had made two TV appearances last season, even if somewhat briefly standing in the background, it had earned her a $500 bonus for each time.

"I am Storm Whip. I work with Electricity." She snapped her fingers generating a brilliant blue spark and a loud pop. She dare not try anything flashier just in case there were electronics that might get damaged. Last thing she needed on her first day at work was to fry their computer system, though if they were going to deal with superpowers she would expect them to be running fiber optics and shielded cables, a little she had learned from people at SCEPAG.

EDWARD, THE PALADIN

Edward looks up as the rest of the heroes make introductions, then carefully puts away his gaming system once he sees electricity popping. He walks over to the bar and picks up a knife. "I'm Edward" he says simply, then slashes his palm with the knife. He flicks his hand around, sending drops of blood spraying into the air for a moment. The drops fly out briefly, then hover midair for one strange moment before zooming back into his hand. The wound is closed, and no scar or trace remains. "I'm immortal. They decided to call me Paladin."

Michael Singh, Prana.

Suddenly appearing, draped on an unoccupied arm-chair like a lazy cat, Michael smiles at the group of people. "Michael Singh, nice to meet you all. I have a grab bag of powers, though I too, work with the winds much of the time." he says, smiling at Havoc. "In costume I go by Prana, however I'm new to the hero business."

"Hm, Paladin? As in one of the Twelve Peers?" he asks. Without waiting for a response he disappears, reappearing at the bar in a breeze of wind that gently swept through the room.

Heather Lockfield/Havoc

The blonde looks over towards Storm Whip with a raises brow. "Are you French or something?"

EDWARD, THE PALADIN

Edward shakes his head. "No, even I'm not THAT old. They just picked a generic knight-y name that sounds like a good guy. I guess it's as good a name as any. I was a Cavalier, though, but I guess that name's less marketable" He shrugs

Johnathan Ulfritched, Patty

"Well, you certainly don't look too old, handsome."
She says with a wink.

"I certainly hope our spells don't overlap too much."
She says, turning to Lurk, then Merlin. Then gestures to the witch getup. "Don't know if y'noticed, but magic's my thing 'swell. Patty, Witch O'West Dublin." She gives a smile, and another wink over to Imperator, before continuing to pour out drinks.

Lillian Harry aka Storm Whip

"Oui, I was born in France. Technically, I am Basque. But most do not know the difference,"
her accent was strong, but understandable. So far she had not found a seat, uncertain of what her position in this group might be. Now she decided to sit in one of the side chairs facing Havoc to continue the conversation.

"Are you from zis city? I have been here less zan one year." America was proving to be as generally acceptable as she had been led to believe. But she found the temperatures much colder, especially in the winter.

Heather Lockfield/Havoc

"One of the many places that I have called a home, yes. Have you gotten fully settled in?"
Havoc asks with a smile, shifting in her seat to cross her legs. She definitely sounds American, definitely vague in what part she might have come from.

Lillian Harry aka Storm Whip

Lillian instinctively mirrored the other woman's posture crossing her legs as she turned to face her in conversation. "I settled in very nicely. I had a ...," she paused mid-sentence, "... roommate to help me." She wasn't sure what you would cal your current boyfriend who didn't live there anymore, who was sleeping with other women, and expected her to pay most of the rent.

"It has not been very easy since last season ended. Ze TV company has not paid much, so eet is not so easy for ze rent. I hope zis year proves to be better." Also, having a dead beat boyfriend had sapped a lot of her spare money. But the time off from work also gave her time to work on her art work. The large metal fixtures were inspired by the new attitude she had picked up while in America. Larger, bolder, more solid structures.
