Yeah, @solyrflair, I stand by my opinion that he's a douche.


And a fire-user. Heather could help a fellow hero out with that. Vacuums are pretty awesome against fire.
 
Well, If you want I could put a wicked little hex on him! Hard for him to do much but bitch if he can't so much as lift a milk jug.

Hmmm... Different opening than I expected. A couple of questions before I post, however.


1) are there any rumors, especially from those that were there as to what happened, how many died, how many survived?


2) question on contracts. Does NEXT! own our contracts and has corps sponsor us, paying their investment, or does NEXT! sell our contracts to the corp looking for superheroes to represent them and the corp owns our contract? Part of that determines if Lillian is in the new costume or not.


3) I planned on having Storm Whip around last season as an intro character, so some people might recognize her, but it would have been before her name would have ever appeared on the opening credits. Maybe in the list of characters at the scrolling credits at the end.

1. Not really, NEXT! is an extremely powerful company, one of the largest in the city and has been around for a very long time, they clean up really well.


2. NEXT! themselves do not sponsor/own superheroes for the show, they just run an extremely popular TV show. The firms and corporates and sponsors, own the heroes in an attempt to get air time on NEXT!, because the company who owns NEXT! practically owns media in the city.


3. Sure. A lot of heroes got creditted but they didn't show up when they were supposed to.


I apologize for the rather dark opening, it is an upbeat comic style hero game, but there will be a bunch of dark themes hidden i the background because corporate politics :D !

Lil will have to teach her a few words in "French". I am sure with a little practice we can have her using choice colorful words on TV.


Wiz, will you have us negotiating contracts IC? I don't want to make too many assumptions, but not sure if or how you plan to assign resource/income levels to the characters.
 
Oh, no, Lurk curses like a particularly foul-mouthed sailor. When she's in character, she might as well be written by Frank Miller.


Amira's just too nice to let that persona blend into her civillian one.
 
I have no idea what that means in real life, though I do know the word 'putain'. I was hoping for a few colloquial expressions like, 'va te faire foutre', which is a little of the actual French I do know. You however seem to have enough skill, far more than me.
 
Well, Babelfish refused to translate it for me. So still no idea what it says. Never learned any French except for a few naughty expressions.


Edit: Aahhhh, found it. Along with the 'Batman does not eat nachos!"

:tongue: Y'know, in my mind, Frank Miller got kidnapped by aliens after he wrote Sin City, and the aliens went to replace him and they saw a 5 minute montage of Sin City and thought. "Oh, thats what this guy does", and then they replaced him with the Infamous Frank "Whoreswhoreswhoreswhores" "God Damned Batman." "Dramatic EMPHASIS" Miller of today.
 
Perhaps I SHOULD start WRITING all of my DIALOGUE in the USUAL Frank Miller STYLE! With RAMBLING Faux-Noir MONOLOGUES and RANDOM faux-dramatic EMPHASIS on certain WORDS and PHRASES meant to ENHANCE any potential MEANING but instead REMOVING nearly ALL meaning from the GOD DAMNED phrasing?

Alright now that everyone has had a chance to post and introduce themselves to each other, I will begin my posting/the game in full swing in the morning, so excited!
