Fantasy New World

Rosie was enjoying the wonderful meat on a wonderful couch in a wonder living. She grazed her hand over the turkey. Grabbing at the largest piece she placed the meat in her mouth and chew on it, enjoying the food. When she was done with it she placed the box on the coffee table and moved on to the tv remote an started to fiddle with it by pressing buttons. Turn on and off the tv, switch the channel and all sorts of things with it.

Tommy finished his cereal, looking up at the flickering lights. He sighed, getting up to turn the lights off just as Miya zoomed past him. He walked over and shut them off, proceeding upstairs to his room. When he got there, he noticed Rosie playing with the remote for his TV. He chuckled, going over to his dresser and picking out a pair of jeans and a clean T-shirt. He walked out of the room and into the bathroom, closing the door behind him and proceeding to change into the clean clothes.

"A TV..is definitely a toy," she said confidently, plopping down on the couch. She grabbed the remote and turned it on, flipping to a random channel; it was a scientific documentary. People record themselves doing diffrent things and broadcast it as a 'show', and we can watch it all here. You can even watch diffferent things at the same time." She handed him the remote to let him play around with it for a while.
Rory grabbed the remote staring at it wondrously. He slowly pushed the button and jumped a bit when he heard gunfire, but then laughed when he realized it came from the TV. He pressed it again and it changed to a show with talking animals. His eyes grew wide and he whispered, "Ooooooooo." Once more he pressed it again. Rory began having fun as he watched the screen keep changing forms and colors and sounds. "This toy is very entertaining. Can it do anything else besides change its appearance?" Rory asked as he continued changing channels.

After an hour, Cyrin had completed most of her work. She decided to take a break, perhaps play with Xavier a bit. As she stepped out of her study, she immediately smelled Kien cooking steak. A wonderful scent completely covered the first floor. Eventually, after taking in the scent and waving at Kien, she set out to find Xavier. Though it took some time, she did find him curled up in a room and basking in the sun. She stifled a laugh, not wanting to disturb him.

[/QUOTE]
Xavier heard someone enter the room, and looked over lazily. "Oh. Hello Cyrin," he said, smiling slightly. "Wonderful day out today, isn't it?" he asked, still lying there, soaking up the sun. He could vaguely scent steak with his advanced snake senses. "Kien's cooking steak?" he asked, looking up at Cyrin.

Miya crouched down, quietly stalking the fox as she watched Tommy enter the room. She quietly grabbed a small slice of the turkey besides Rosie, enjoying the meat next to her as she took large bites. "Maarf nah" she muffled, enjoying the various channels go by on the screen. "I wonder if all the other hybrids from shop are okaie...I hope they got adopted..." Miya thought out loud to herself as she listened to the high pitched buzz the device made each time the channel was changed. She twitched her ears, taking another slice of the turkey from the container..

Tommy walked out of the bathroom, now in clean clothes, and saw the two hybrids both watching the changing channels. He walked over to his desk and booted up his computer, opening his e-mail. He glanced over all the unimportant stuff. 'Well, that just means that no one has accepted my college applications.' He sighed, leaning back in his chair and looking up at the ceiling.

Change its appearance. Oh my...Therese had to refrain from laughing at Rory's comment. "Well..you can buy stuff to change its appearance on your own for however long you want. You can also listen to music on it, I guess. And if you have a game station, you can play games on it." She enjoyed watching him play with the TV, the way his eyes widened in wonder. She looked at the clock and realized that it was close to dinner time. She left him with his new toy and went to make a phone call to the local pizzeria, ordering a large pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese. She knew that she had some soda somewhere and was satisfied that she could give him what he wanted. Smiling slightly, she went back into the living room to him.

With a smile, Cyrin moved away from the door and towards Xavier, taking a seat beside him. "Yeah. Kien makes a really delicious steak. I'm sure you'll love it, "she said, her hand petting his head gently. Her eyes wandered around his body, still amazed at the boys mutation. But eventually, she found herself staring at his bright green eyes, admiring the color.

Xavier grinned, lying there as she pet his head. "I am sure I'll love it too," he said, looking over at her, noticing she was staring at him. His cheeks went slightly red, as he looked into her red eyes. He looked away, looking back at the floor. Why is she looking at me like that? he thought to himself, looking back at her.

Cyrin noticed his cheeks went slightly red and assumed he wasn't used to people petting him, which led to her moving her hand away from him. "Sorry. You probably aren't used to people touching you." She gave an apologetic smile before standing up. From a distance, she heard Kien calling out, "Ms. Krezetsky, Mr. Xavier, please come eat. The food is ready."

"Ah.... we should probably go. "

Rory didn't notice the sudden absence of Miss Tessy due to his attention wrapped around the TV. He kept flipping channels trying to find one appearance that will entertain him. "Nope not this one...oh maybe this one, naw...this seems interesting, oh wait never mind," Rory kept muttering as he kept surfing through the channels. His eyes wandered from the screen for a minute just to rest his eyes. "Wow this toy hurts my eyes," he mumbled as he rubbed his eyes. But it didn't bother him that much since he went back to flipping through channels. Soon he landed on one channel with a golden eagle flying. He froze as he admired the golden eagle flying. Do I look like that when I am flying? He widened his wings and looked at them. They seemed like the wings of the golden eagle. But he had a human body. Rory decided to not let this bother him and changed to a new channel to a show called Pokémon.

Miya glanced over at Tommy, and began sauntering over to his chair to bother him, leaving Rosie to enjoy the shows and her meat. She hung her body over the back of the chair and watched the screen carefully with her chin resting in her hair. "Un. what's that?" the hybrid asked curious as she flicked her tail side to side behind her, trying to make sense of the program on the computer. "It looks complex." she huffed, staring at all the letters.

"Not really," he said, shrugging, getting up. "We should," he said, grinning, as he walked a bit behind her, towards where ever the food was going to be served. He was personally looking forward to the steak. It'd be the best meal he's had in a while.

Cyrin hurried to Kien, not wanting to get scolded by him. Ever since she was appointed CEO, no one dared to question or bring up her seemingly careless and sloppy behavior when she wasn't working. But when Kien became her Secretary and assistant, he took care of her as if he were her mother. She took a seat the white rectangular table, which had been set up nicely and professionally by Kien.

He came around holding a plate in each hand with a large, juicy steak on them. He gently placed them on the table and respectfully took a step back.

Tommy looked up at Miya, then back to the screen in front of him. He pointed to it. "It's e-mail. I can talk to people from all over the world if I wanted to. But I use it for school and work. See?" He pointed to a little envelope that said Silver City Bistro. "That's where I work. And if I click it twice..." He double-clicked the envelope, opening it on a new page. "I can read the message someone sent me. Then I can reply by hitting this large button here." He clicked on the Reply button. "And say whatever I want back." He looked up at her. "Make sense?"

"I ordered the food for us," Therese told Rory, amused that the TV had kept him occupied for so long. "It's the kind you told me about, with cheese and stuff." She had forgotten to ask him about the toppings, and hoped that the plain pepperoni would do the trick. It would arrive shortly and she hoped he wouldn't cause any trouble in the mean time. She realized that she needed to do some work for tomorrow. Skipping out on the second part of her day wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do. "I need to go to my office to do some work."

Miya's widened as she watched him click and open the e-mail. She nodded in understanding, "Un! Yes! Button...message...click...Reply..." ears perked up and alert as she listened to the new information regarding the device "Talk to someone...without them here??" she asked in wonder with a bright and amazed expression on face, amused beyond comprehension as she learned how to use the program. Her eyes skimming over the envelope's title Silver City Bistro. The hybrid reaches her sly little hands towards the keyboard and began pressing a few random buttons with gentle taps by her curious instinct. "If Tommy works...Miya wants to work too!" Miya exclaimed haughtily.

Tommy laughed, grabbing her wrists and removing her hands from the keys of the keyboard. "I'm not sure the Bistro will hire you. And work is, well, a lot of work. It's tiring, and it takes a while for someone to hire you. You have to send in an application, so the people who are in charge know information about you. If you have the necessary skills, and have the qualities they desire, then you can get a job. But even still, they will choose someone with more experience over you. It took me about a year to get my job at the Bistro."

Rosie sat and stared at the two wanting to know what they said but she couldn't make out a single word... So as she stood up, she tossed the turky container to the side and walked out of the room. Grazing her hand on the rail that lead to the lower floor, she brought herself to a rather quick stop after hearing a rather loud crash as if something was in the house and pulling down bookcases and such makeing a huge mess.

Do she ran back to the two in a frenzyed panic and with her tail swaying wildly she tapped on Tommy's shoulder, and with a panic face she pointed down into the hallway to tell him there was something there.

Miya swished her tail in the air as she frowned, hearing of all the steps and matters of having to work at the Silver Bistro "That's a long time..." she sighed, her ears tilted downwards in disappointment, "Why Tommy go through all that? If it's tiring...and hard to get..." the hybrid muttered, still determined to help alongside him. "I want to try!" Her ears twitched at the large crash, turning her head to Rosie as she quickly entered back into the room. "Rosie....you Okaie??" she asked the fox in concern.

Tommy heard the loud crash downstairs, and jumped up from his chair, running out the door and practically jumping down the stairs. He runs into the family room, which doubled as his father's office. Inside, a man in a skimask is standing at his father's safe, a stethoscope against the medal and his other hand on the knob. He notices Tommy, and drops the tool, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a long serrated knife. "Stay ba-" Before he could say anything else, Tommy launches himself over his dad's desk, the heel of his foot digging into the man's gut. The man double's over, dropping the sharp blade on the floor. He swings at Tommy, who ducks under it, bringing his fist up in a sickening uppercut. The man staggers backward, falling to the floor. Tommy runs forward, pinning the man to the ground, holding his arm at a painful angle, the man yelling. "Let go, you psychotic bastard!" Tommy keeps his eyes on the man, but yells back to Rosie and Miya. "Phone! My cellphone!"

Rory looked up and said, "You understood what I was describing? Oh good!" He jumped up and down and then turned back to the TV saying, "Okay I will leave you to your work. Work must be important for you." He sat back down and changed the channel once again. I want to ask so many questions about work but it is best to leave Miss Tessy alone. Rory gave a large yawn as he continued flipping through the channels. He decided to turn off the TV and go outside for a bit. He looked back to make sure that Miss Tessy was busy working before he walked out the front door to see a beautiful sunset outside. He grinned and stretched his wings wide. Perhaps a few minutes I can stay out here. He shook his wings and began flapping them.

Miya twitches her ears as he calls for his phone, hearing the ruckess and clamor from the bottom floor. She quickly sweepes her hands over Tommy's desk until she grabs the small cellular device in a mad panic. The hybrid scampers down the stairs in quick bounds past Rosie and tossing the item to Tommy from a distance. She stops, staring at the intruder with slitted green eyes, tail bristling and hairs on the back of her neck standing on end, listening to his furious rambling. "There's a rat in this house." Miya growled, baring her teeth threateningly as she whipped her black tail behind her, glancing at the crude knife on the ground in disgust.

Therese went to her office, satisfied with Rory's attentiveness to the TV. She went to her office and sat down at her desk, taking out some papers and files. She booted up her computer and started to do some research. She wrote notes and did charts, analyzing and studying the pattern of the businesses. Her client was reliant on her advice, so she felt obliged to be as thorough as possible. As she finished up, she noticed an eerie silence that echoed across the apartment. With a stab of confusion, she printed and saved everything. Then she went to living room to realize that Rory was gone. She checked the rooms quickly, but saw no sign of the pet. She called his name a couple of times, and receiving no response, headed outside. She found him flapping his wings, almost as if he was going to escape. "Rory," she said, her voice a mixture of sternness, relief, and disappointment. "You can't just wander out here like that, especially without telling me."

Rory cringed at her stern tone. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to bother you and it was going to be a quick flight. My wings were getting stiff staying still for so long," Rory explained and apologized. But the remorse didn't last long when a though popped onto Rory's head. "You should fly the kite while I am flying through the sky!" Rory suggested. He ran back inside quickly and returned with the brightly colored kite. "C'mon I bet I can fly higher than the kite!" he proclaimed. Rory began to flap his wings once again feeling himself rise up against gravity.
