New Solar Game

I guess I missed it....I'd be willing to play any open slot. I can make a creative character out of anything. Even buttered toast.

Ah, I'm looking at playing an Eclipse collector of lore (read: Actual stories and histories, NOT all the first age weapons he can carry). Enlightened mortal turned Exalt, was originally learning a TMA (still working on which one) but now see the entire Lotus open to him and wants to at least dabble in every Martial Art he can find a teacher for.


Will try to get a fleshed-out concept PMed as quick as possible... I KNEW I should have posted here sooner, but was still hoping Wyld Side would pick up.
 
I fear I might be too late for this. I would so love to play an Eclipse Caste God-King of Pointless Paperwork. His totemic anima was to be a disorganized pile of forms floating above his head.

PS: I just started an all-Exalt types welcome PbP game over on thetangledweb. Right now I've got a Dawn, a Night, and an Eclipse. In a week or two I plan on opening it up to additional players. First preference will be given to those who don't make it into this game.
 
I will not take a slot if any of the newer players want in. That was what Cyl mentioned first and foremost so I will stand aside if someone wants to snag, the beloved, Twilight Caste slot.

So, scratch my earlier concept, something much better has came to mind. The character will still be an Eclipse, but will be a hawkrider of Mount Metagalpa. He or she's looking to reach out to the Guild and attempt to establish steady trade. There's more, which I'll get to you (cyl) in a PM sometime soon.
 
Oh, well if no one wants Twilight, I'll do that. That was the original concept, but it seemed like we had two people gunning for the spot already.
 
Dang. My concept's become more of an ex-scout rather than a former store keeper. But, dammit, I'm staying Marxist. I will!
 
Well, part of the introduction e-mails I've gotten directed me to this thread as a game for new players.


Which may or may not be true, I've been playing Exalted for a grand total of... 3 days? But I reached this forum via cdi's references (I'm playing the Night in his PbP game). Considering that you appear overstocked on players anyway, I doubt it matters either way.


I would certainly be interested in playing a Solar (Ideally Twilight), or Lunar, should the opportunity arise.

Lockepick, your dawn/zenith is very interesting, the night has the coolest description I've seen so far, the twilight's cool too, but is the less interesting of the three (but is still interesting... I mean it was the less "oooh I like this one" of the 3 concepts, had to do with the motivation actually).


Saracen, interesting start, need more details.


Talisman, great work, a very good night.


KobaldArchmage, interesting dawn concept but need more details.


Morninglight, great work, a great Zenith.

Do you want full writeups/character sheets? I was assuming the PM was just a brief bit of info, but it sounds like you wanted more than that.

BTW cyl, what's your take on the current familiar rules? Also, on Friendship with Animals Technique (Survival) having Majestic Radiant Presence (Presence) as a prerequisite Charm?

I tend to consider them as allied "spirits", if they die, they'll soon reform (depending on the death and disposal of the corpse).


They never really die unless their master does.


Forget the MRP prereq for FwAT, never made sense anyway...


Horses I think in some places it'd be better for it to eat people... :lol:

Just give the word in the forum creating forum... with name and other such stuff and it'll get created for you.
