New Solar Game

As I said, there are no bonus XP at chargen, only 9 BP more can be gained.


So between ultra specialists, and talented generalists, make your choice, you'll all get the chance to get more powerful as the xp flow.
 
If nobody chooses a Twilight I might make one instead considering there is another Dawn already.
 
I'm giving a Twilight an attempt, whether or not it'll turn out well enough to use it another thing.
 
Wow, I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with this kind of posting rate, and it's just the discussion phase. I'm going to have to withdraw my application.
 
Don't worry, the discussion phase and preparation of the game are always the hottest. People boiling with ideas and concepts.


Once the game starts it cools down to cruise mode.
 
Damnit... this is the problem with having Temperance 1. You always end up doing fun things you know you shouldn't.

So yeah, I'm drawing up the Twilight (Though I also have ideas for an ultra-kickass Dawn Caste archer). A few questions first though.


1. What direction is this set in?


2. How much downtime will we be getting? Will I have enough to Craft some Artifacts?


3. Is anyone else taking Sorcery?


4. What's your stance on Merits and Flaws?

I'll cut you a deal though: you handle the oathbinding part, I'll lear Principle of Motion :D


Tome, I can certainly say that I won't be taking any Sorcery, even as the game progresses


cyl, glad you like my latest creation. I'll get around on posting sheet, background and maybe try to snag a little BP with my Dreams of a lost Age. I think I'll get around it tomorrow, if I won't be too smashed...

Oh, and since I've been approved, here's the character concept:


Name: Royal Candela


Caste: Dawn


Motivation: Start a successful kingdom


Anima: A thin feminine hand grasping a sword up through the center of a crown.


Appearance:


Royal is a bit shorter and thinner then most other mercenaries. That's probably because she's a girl. Even though she's barely in her twenties, her hair is a blueish gray, like steel. It's short and unkept, looking like she just reached up and sliced off her hair in one swing. She does her best to keep a little dirt on her face in an attempt to hide the softness of her features.


Royal dresses in masculine military garb. A military coat with a high collar covers her upper body; just baggy enough to help hide her already bound chest and some of the more feminine curves of her body. She wears small metal shoulder pads to help make her look more broad, and a simple pair of matching navy slacks; all with heavy black boots.


Behavior:


First of all, she pretends to be a guy, just to bypass the whole opening conversation of 'haha, what can a girl do?' It's easier to get hired as a man. She tries to be quiet and reserved around strangers, in an attempt to hide her gender; but she's a high-spirited girl with strong opinions. This opinion has lost her more than one mercenary job. Her opinion on right and wrong has become muted since the death of her mother, and she tends to back the idea of 'might equals right;' even if deep in her heart she's a peaceful person.


Quirks:


Cursed so whenever she draws blood in combat, her mother's spirit comes back to haunt her; causing her hair to grow out all the way down her back.


Starting character is mostly Melee + Presence; but more Melee.

Are those extra slots restricted to Solars? I know you wanted a perfect Circle. I'll PM you a Solar concept and character sheet on Saturday (far too busy tonight/tomorrow to flesh one out). If the game is non-solar-OK, I might toss a Terrestrial your way on the off chance it sticks.

I really do need to focus on college a bit, and a sixth game might be too much.
