Adelaide Thorne ☽
new place, new faces
First things first, buy light blocking curtains for every room in the house, Adelaide whispered to herself as she drew her current curtains closed. The new curtains were just the one of the many things that she need for her new house. Adelaide made a mental note to go to the store soon.
After closing the curtains, she made her way into the kitchen, and made her self a glass of blood from her hefty supply she’d accumulated over the years. Usually, she didn’t like drinking blood. She only drank it because she had too and today she was feeling more peckish than usual. While sipping on her glass she made her way into her bed room and starts to unpack her various pieces of clothing. After she has her closet stocked up she laid down on her bed, looking up at the ceiling.
By this time, the sun was starting to set and she made up her mind that it was a good time to hit the town and explore, even though she had been here many many many years ago it would be fun to see how the town had changed from the last time she’d been there.
Getting up from her spot on the bed she threw open her newly made closet and changed into a different out, an outfit good enough for her to be seen in public with. Once she was satisfied with how she looked, she walked out the door whilst locking it behind her. She didn’t have a car, but she did have a very old bicycle she found.
Even with being a couple hundred years old she didn’t have a lot of money, she didn’t like to be the center of attention. She just wanted to blend into the back ground. She didn’t want to be found, that’s why she changed her name and moved back to New haven, nobody knew her. She could had a fresh start.
While going into town seemed like a good idea at the time Adelaide immediately wished she’d stay home. She thought that it was going to be a quiet night where she could explored her new environment but boy, she was very wrong. As she rode into town, from her little house in the woods, she made marks about everything she saw in her head. It wasn’t long until she got into the heart of the town as she did, she stopped her bike and leaned it up against the side of a building. She wasn’t worried about it, because who would want a 7 year old bike anyways?? The seat had foam sticking out of it and the handle bars were rusted over.
She made her way into a little bar, it was a speakeasy vibe. She could remember a time where she used to go to actual speakeasies. Timidly, she made her way over to the bar.
In a small voice she asked the bartender. “Can I have a glass on red wine?”
