Shortly after Arcadia touches his neck, he suddenly awakens, a dagger hidden in his sleeve suddenly in his hand and on Arcadias throat in just a second before he actually wakes up and realizes what he did, pulling the dagger away from her neck, "sorry, reflex," he muttered.

Astaroth's hand swiftly grabbed Zero's jaw firmly. As if inspecting it. He seemed to be done and turned away.

When Zero made contact with Astaroth's hand he had used replacement magic to replace himself with the air behind Zero. What Zero was threatening is an illusion he left behind. Astaroth has his scythe positioned at Zero's neck. All he has to do is pull to decapitate him. He doesn't do it though. He stands as if asking. Do you really want to fight me?

Ashton who was done exploring outside the mountain came inside the building. He flew through doors and windows looking for an empty room he liked. He then saw Zero and Astaroth together but with a scythe around Zeros neck. His smoke turned to ash and he flew above Astaroth and Zero. His head formed in the cloud and asks Zero "Do you need help or is this a spar? I thought spars were suppose to be held somewhere else though."
