Alpha does as he is told, shutting the door. "Is that better?" He asks, noticing her nervous look. "You don't need to be nervous. You can trust me."

She runs her hands through her hair, keeping them on the top of her head. "It is better, and I know that I can," She breathes deeply, then finally speaks. "When I was born, I was born... defective. I had no mana in any part of my body at all, much less anyway to access it. My parents could use magic, but weren't mages, so they didn't care," She closes her eyes tightly, like she was trying hard to remember things. "Two years ago, I..." She trails off, shaking her head. "You're going to think I'm nuts. You're gonna think I'm absolutely fucking crazy."

Alpha shrugged. "Your telling this to a talking, three headed dog from Hell. A normal human would say that this is already crazy."

She laughs a bit. "Fair enough," She sighs, pausing and rethinking her words. "I started to hear shit when I joined up with a mafia group, which was a little bit before I started to head into assassination. It's like..." She rubs at her temples, her brow furrowed. "A voice that sounds like a child and some Satan offspring speaking at the same time, talking like a maniac in my head. It calls itself Sanctum, but I just kind of refer to it as 'The Corruption'. Then, I uh... Overstepped my bounds. The boss shot me and left me for dead in an alley, but I didn't die like I should've, I wasn't even in control of my body, I just... Got up. Like nothing happened. Then, I had all this magic, and I - well, not me, but the thing that was controlling me - killed the entire mafia. And I've had this... corruption magic ever since. This has been long winded, I guess, but I can't sleep without Sanctum haunting me with nightmares. I haven't had a good night's sleep in years."

"That does sound like quite the problem," Alpha replied, sitting down on the bed. "Do you know if there is any way that I can help?"

She shrugs, "I honestly have no idea. I tried to go to a healer, but their magic almost killed me. I tried to get knocked out using drugs or alcohol, but neither worked. I even tried to go to an exorcist to get this thing out of me, but it just emerged and killed the exorcist. Nothing I've tried has worked at all. All this shit that it puts me through is not worth the power it gives me, all just so I'm it's complacent puppet," She rubs her hands on either side of her head, eyes shut tight and her expression taut with pain, "Even now, it's fuckin' screaming at me for telling you any of this."

Bruce sees Zero across the hall and waves to him saying "hey there neighbor!" If Zero didn't want to be bothered, going across from Bruce was probably the worst possible idea.

Zero was just turning to walk through the doorway of his room, exiting the corridor, well up until a foreign voice interrupted him. 'An idiot?' Was the only thing that came to mind. Zero, being the man he was, rolled his irises, unseen, and finally took the remaining steps necessary into his room while speaking. "Leave me alone."

"Is that so?" Alpha asked, rising from the bed and walking over to Jackie. "If you would like, I can stay awake with you. We have no need for sleep, so it would not inconvenience us."

She looks completely dumbstruck, standing there with her mouth open in a round 'o' for a solid minute as she stares at him, then she breaks out into a genuine smile. "That would be great. I could use the company. But, I've gotta ask, do you have any needs for anything seen as a basic human necessity?"

Bruce walked over to Zero, putting his arm around him "well, the whole point of a guild is that we all work together for more or less the same cause. We're supposed to have each other's backs so it's best to be actually liked by those in your guild."

Sonter sat on the roof for a bit, as he calmed his bloodlust before walking over to the edge of the roof and creating a mana rope which he used to drop himself over the edge, upside down until he was outside arcadia's window, he tapped on the glass as he hung by his feet and crossed his arms, only his torso was visible in the window and if he wasn't wearing his mask, Arcadia would've been able to see a friendly smile.

(Sorry for the late reply. I had to clean my room, and then a roommate of mine starting annoying me.)


The tendrils are slightly raised on the skin, like veins or scars, and feel icy cold in contrast to her skin. Jackie blinks, then raises her hand to brush her fingers against her neck, bumping Alpha's poking away in the process. "Technically, no," She says, "But this always happens when it's trying to take hold of my body or influence me to be destructive. It doesn't have much to work with right now, so I should be okay."

Arcadia jumps a foot in the air and accidentally tosses her book, shrieking. When she realizes it's just Sonter, she walks over, trying to look angry, but it fails, as a big grin spreads across her face. She opens the window, then exclaims, "Jeez, Sonter, you gave me a heart attack!"

Alpha thought about Jackie's question for a moment. "Uh...not really," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "Never really had much secretive stuff going on down in Hell," he sighed. "Sorry."
