"Uh, I'll be back." Asami said to Harutora as she excused herself from Harutora. Asami walked over to Kirai and the little girl, "Hey Kirai, I see that you've met Mina," Asami said with a smile as she put her hand on Mina's shoulders gently.

Kirai gave Asami a "death stare," her eye twitching slightly. "Don't you think I should know about something like this before you go ahead and do whatever the hell you want?" She was genuinely serious for once. "I'm fine with you giving her food, but the fact that you kept this a secret from me... in my own cafe..."

Flora returns, uniform neatly folded in her arms. She hands it back to Kirai. She'd also drank a whole load of tap water and sat in silence for 15 minutes trying to compose herself. She's just so excited to get her life back, working meant a lot to her.
"Here you are. Thanks for the job, really. I know I seemed a little on edge back there, but I'm a hard worker and I'm determined to do you proud"

Kirai was happy to hear this, she loved to see determination. "Awh, it's nice to have you here. I know you'll do well." She said with a smile.

'Clever little cookie, isn't he?' Mako grumbles to herself, not pleased by the fact that her mannerisms are so transparent. She leans back in her seat, adjusting her glasses in the process. What to do...


"Okay, you caught me." She begins, throwing the man a teasing smile. "I did something...questionable. But nothing you need to concern yourself with~" 'Lying to a customer, good job, Mako. You're on your way to becoming a full-fledged delinquent.'


"Should I bring you more tea?" Mako's smile widens, knowing that the man in front of her is painfully aware of her bad attempts at diverting his attention.

Flora turned away, speed walking to the bathrooms to scream in joy for 15 minutes. A single fist pump was left behind as she descended into the bathrooms.

Mat looked at Mako once more, a small, peaceful and mannerful smile was all he offered. Cocking his head slightly as she began to spoke he interjected, "Questionable? Like what?" He put up his index finger, "You can't expect me not to ask what you did if you continue to bait and tease me." Shaking his head a bit he took another sip of his tea, it was almost gone but he could make it last a while longer, "I am fine on tea, thank you for the offer. You are a great server for asking."

Asami didn't know what the hell Kirai was blabbering on about someone giving Mina food but Asami just took the blame since she always did when she was younger,"Yes, I'm very sorry for my actions. "You're not getting any penalties, and you're not getting fired. You have simply been warned." She told her, her tail moving around slightly.


Deep down inside, she did feel bad about acting so coldly, but she needed to get her message across. This cafe ran just like any business, and she needed to be the boss that new how to deal with her employees' actions. After this, she would return to her kind self anyway.

Kami, this person would not give up. Mako huffed, contemplating whether she should just come clean and confess to using the man as her very own guinea pig. 'Spoken out loud, sounds worse than it really is. Especially worded in that way. What to do...' She supposed she had no other choice; Mako had to confess, even if that meant the loss of a regular customer. Man, the manager is going to kill her.


"Okay, but you have promise you won't get mad!" With her ears almost flattened against her head, Mako looked up at the man from between her lashes, trying to look as innocent as possible. Her tail swished nervously behind her.


"I might have...used you as a taste test subject... for the cafe's new recipe." Mako winced at the truth of it, refusing to meet the man's gaze.

"Sorry," Asami said as she swayed her tail from side to side. Asami moved towards Mat," Hello Mr. Mat is everything okay?" Asami asked him as her tail swayed from side to side slowly. Her cheeks were as red as ever since she just finished 'confusing' to Kirai about something she didn't do. Asami saw that Mako was still there near Mr. Mato,"Shouldn't you be working?" She asked as she rubbed her ears and touched the tip of it. @Jacob Berry

Flora smiled. "Well, I lived with my housekeeper up until last year, he was a neuroscientist, taught me a lot. He then died, of natural causes. I was house hunting for months, sleeping at friend's houses and all that. Then I checked the will and realised I was left a bit of money. I rented an apartment, with my 15 year old brother, and I've been looking for a job ever since I came here. I don't have much but I make it work.."


Flora proceeds to stuff cake in her mouth to create a diversion.

Mat rubbed his chin a bit, letting out a "Hmm" sound as he stared at Mako, tilting his head before offering a smile, "Well, I don't mind, as long as the food is good, I am fine." Raising an eyebrow he stared at the girl, chuckling to himself, "No need to look as if I am about to kill you."


Looking at Asami he offered a small smile, "Ah. Ms. Asama. Hello again." He looked between Mako and Asami, thinking it was best to let them talk it out. Humming quietly he finished his tea and went back to writing some notes on the blank bars, looking between the two every now and again

Mako laughs nervously at her coworker's obvious scolding "Working? Technically, yes." She responds, scratching the back of her head in obvious embarrassment.


"But come onnn Asami-chaan~ there's hardly anyone here. And besides, I am starving; I haven't gotten around to having my lunch break yet. Have some mercy for a poor hungry soul?" She grins, blinking innocently up at her coworker in hopes that Asami will take pity on her. Perhaps even make her some of those delicious mini-sandwiches that are reserved just for customers; now that would be a dream come true. Her mouth waters just thinking about it.

Asami heard Mako pledding for her to somewhat let her relax since the cafe wasn't busy as of right now. "You know I can't," Asami said to her as she let out a small sigh feeling bad for Mako since she didn't eat yet," You can ask Kirai if you can take your break now or if you want I have some milk in the back, if you wanted some I would give you some."
