Fantasy Natural Selection [Reboot]

Yeah that was inspirational and all but yeah Ether is currently just watching. He doesn't feel like he is needed in the fight and I don't think he is either. I could make a relatively short post about he is watching people take out this cultists and is amused by their somewhat sloppy teamwork, given the situation but that would just be a filler post and wouldn't get anybody anywhere.

Filler posts are good my dude, and riktos mentioned how they were not following the rules of the wild and acting as a pack of wolves. He ended his post in calling for aid, and possibly he could gain respect from ether for that.

Wait he did? I never saw that

Oh I didn't see that call. BOY change the damn dialogue color to something else. No wonder I didn't see it.

filler posts are actually quite good for roleplays though, they not only show that you are still involved during a slow period (and also check you off when accounting for posts needed from people) but also grants people a closer look at your character. Yes we get a lot of information from reading his Character Sheet and watching his interactions with people, which btw I might add that I like the melodramaticness of Ether so far :) , but with filer posts we get to see more of him being him. We get more insight of the characters perspective on the situations and scenarios, what they think of everything going on, what they notice or spot, maybe we get to see more of how that character tics and processes information, and character growth and development as always is a possibility. Character development through filler posts can be accomplished through many different ways. A couple of examples include:

-Imagine having a character who has been established that he practically hates everyone but after a long and stressful turn of events, perhaps a few life threatening ones sprinkled in, and then while having the main group chat among themselves our Emo decides to sit on a bench away from the group and begins to pet a stray cat. This would show that he doesn't actually hate everything and show that he is growing as an individual. Perhaps others will find him in the act and either act or save this event for later? Or perhaps this signals the beginning of a small point in where he begins to accept himself and the world as being not all bad?

- A group of (insert what ever here) are trying to find information pertaining to an ancient artifact in a museum and one of the group members stumbles upon a depiction of a scene that reminds him of the war he fought it, taking him into a flashback that sows off what he did in the war, perhaps explaining where he got an injury or phobia from? People don't even have to interact with him, and if they do then the other characters could learn about him as well, but we as the roleplayers get to find out more about his character.

it's not always exciting to make a filer post but it can be just as rewarding when creating an interactive post as well.

Oh no dont get me wrong. I can understand the point of filler posts....SOMETIMES. Other times they arent as helpful. Im writing a post now so I can help out the bear man but dont expect a well-fleshed out post.

My character is sitting out and not really a support, he'll only jump in if someone about to get really hurt
Can your character notice mine creepin' in the back?

She hasn't really gotten acquainted with the group.
