One Time Luck
Arthasia is a beautiful continent dotted with many Kingdoms.
Many Kingdoms fight for land and power, others look for advancement in technology, some look for peace for their people. What will your Medieval Kingdom do when thrust into a continent of warring Kingdoms, un-fully specified boarders, assassins, and blood thirsty war parties? Make your Kingdom and show that you've got what it takes to stand the test of time.
It was suspected though, long ago, that the entire continent of Arthasia was once ruled under a single crown known as something similar to the
Vilgia Empire.
This so called Empire had seized control of Arthasia through pure military might.
(Old map found. The bigger the X, the stronger the nation)
Afterwards, the Vilgia Empire then spent 3 decades training troops and building the Empire up. The Emperor at first thought that he had conquered the world, that is, until he had discovered that Arthasia was only but a small continent in a much larger world. The next closes land was controlled by a much larger and stronger nation. The Emperor foolishly slaughtered that nations ambassadors upon hearing the offer of being the nations Vassal. This in turn, marked the begging of the Vilgia Destruction. The obviously stronger nation quickly descended on the unsuspecting Empire which was not ready for the strength or technologically superior nation. Once gaining a foot hold in the land, Vilgia's lose was sealed. Vilgia quickly fell to the nations hand, though leaving one trick up their sleeve. The nations entire invading army, for some unknown reason, fell onto the Empires capital, Actoria, in an attempt to capture the city and the Emperor. The Vilgian troops in a last resort, set fire to the capital and the remaining land killing everyone inside the capital, including the Emperor, Vilgia's army, and the invading nations army.
It's suspected that since the invading nations troops never returned, that the homeland had decided that they were defeated. However, Arthasia has but been forgotten from the rest of world. The remaining people that once lived in the Empire wandered the lands as nomads until finally, around the year 1530, about 5 centuries since the Empires fall, new Kingdoms started sprouting up ready to claim Arthasia as their own.
With the rising of new Kingdoms, comes with the rising of new threats. One such threat being the far North-West Islands regarded as the "nation" Isengard, which is controlled by an extremely powerful, dangerous, and merciless Dark Wizard.
Alone, he raised an army of the dead and low level demons. He uses them to ward off any invading Kingdoms as he searches for hidden relics from the long fabled destroy Empire. The relics are believed to hold the key to taking over Arthasia again, and putting under one rule, but no proof has been able to prove this myth true. Even so, it's said that Isengard was the housing of the Empire's artifacts and magical treasures. Many Kingdoms before have tried to invade the island, only to have their army slaughtered.
Another threat for the continent of Arthasia is the blood thirsty war bands of orcs, war bound tribal elves, and the sliver caves dotted across Arthasia.
