Mizuno, ????

b05e76eee55260605ec7b959308bee1724a57905_hq.gif

Gender: male

Age: eleven

Village: leaf

Rank: genin

  • Personality: Rather pompous in manner, Mizuno voluntarily exudes an air of boastful superiority that's really supported by no rank, family or important strengths in particular. He tends to be quite selfish as well as a bit lazy in doing hard-work, his reasons for not doing them amounting to nothing more then him considering himself too good for such menial tasks.

Authority figures exercising their earned superiority over him are something he does not take well. He makes clear to all those who attempts this, his hatred of being bossed around by anyone, regardless of rank. Additionally Mizuno could use some practice in holding his tongue as he exercises a blunt, sarcastic tongue that burns more than it soothes.

His being quite insensitive to the emotional needs of others, is rather ironic given how over-sensitive Mizuno can be. The lightest insult, even an only slight jabbing remark can become Mizuno's main object of focus. His interpretations of others' words ca be arguably a bit too analyzing, as well as his feelings hurt much too easily. Wronged enough times Mizuno can and will hold a grudge. He doesn't forget stuff, though his temperate may suggest otherwise.

Although being quite lazy, Mizuno is nonetheless quite smart, able to efficiently look over and judge every situation thrown in his path in an efficient manner, although his usual habits of playing dumb, though it may yield less results, usually results in him being relieved of a burdensome work-load. In spite of his rather loud, brash personality, Mizuno has quite the many introverted tendencies, though that's not to say he doesn't possess a fair number of extroverted ones as well.

One of these is his tendency to shrink from large crowds of people. Whether he'll admit to it or not he doesn't enjoy having all of the attention (whether positive or negative) directed onto him - consistent panic attacks affirming that. It is rare to find that Mizuno feels truly comfortable around others - he always assumes that people have a darker motivation behind each conversation with him, and really anyone they bother exchanging words with. He has trouble with seeing others motivations and intentions as pure, perhaps because his never truly are.

Deeper within Mizuno is an indistinct sadness only the most perceptive can pick up on. He's bitter - one might even go as far as to say broken inside. The rejection of those he thought to be his family as well as some of those in his village has driven him to adopt the role he feels everyone thinks he's meant to play. If he's a useless, rejected, barely-Hyuga spawn - sure, he can act useless. And with his every waking second plot revenge against those that despised him.

Personal Descripion: Despite the rashness of his personality as well as the usual frown that taints his lips, Mizuno possesses quite angelic features. His features are delicate in manner, his eyes a soft, unassuming light brown. Hair is a tawny brown, remaining in a short style. As he has yet to quite hit puberty, baby fat still gives Mizuno's cheeks a round softness, though constant exercise has ridded him of the line of baby-fat that used to line the rest of his lower body.

Additionally the boy is still quite short, a fact that drives him to anger if any were to push on that fact. In spite of his relative strength as well as his constant exercise no muscle permeates his still sylphlike figure. A frown is a constant on his lips, though a smile may be tempted occasionally by those who may amuse or earn his loyalty.

The paleness of his cheeks as well as his always changing moods yield the incessant redness of a blush to always touch his cheeks. The colors of his wardrobe range from the colors blue to yellow, rarely are any other colors attempted. An over-sized sweater-hoodie is a perpetuity on him, and he refuses to remove the scrap of clothing other than to wash it, although rarely. Additionally a gold chain is often worn around his wrist (possibly as a simple accessory as it possesses no martial value to him), the reason for which is unknown.

History: His personal history is the object of many a whisper in the Hidden Leaf village. And for good reason. It's said that his parents marriage wasn't a love wrought one - It was an alliance of the head Hyuga and a considerably wealthy merchant's only child. It brought both families much joy and wealth, as did the birth of Mizuno. However, his lacking of any physical features that would link him directly to his father, or his respective clan, quickly became the product of Hyuga gossip.

His lacking of the traditional Hyuga eyes was what quickly spiraled the whole situation into a conflictual one that the entire village became aware of. Adultery wasn't punishable by death - but it might as well have been considering the way the rage-stricken husband treated his now scorned wife. Not much is known of what became of her, though Mizuno's fate is a well-known verse. He was cast out; thrown onto the streets as an infant.

How did he - an unwanted, undeserving of life child - survive this inevitable abandonment? He was found, retrieved by those that had so willingly cast his aside. This wasn't done out of kindness; it was in order to put an end to the disapproval the disposal of him garnered. Until he was old enough to function on his own - until he was eight - Mizuno was allowed to remain in the Hyuga compound. The children were taught to scorn him - holding a conversation with the little monster was greeted with the firmest displeasure - and most of the children followed this instructions with fervor.

He wasn't allowed to engage in the other children's training (though that's not to say he didn't attempt to pick up a few of there secrets), he was encouraged to stay out of sight, out of mind. His father made no secret his displeasure at the few times his eyes landed on the boy. He wasn't particularly difficult to pick out of a crowd of Hyuga's given his less then pale complexion accompanied by the hazel hair that never failed to knit his father's lips into a frown. And even from a young age Mizuno could feel the hatred, the dislike for him practically radiating from the whole compound. It paralleled the emotions he begin to feel for the people who seemed to hate him.

A year before his intended departure Mizuno ran for it. No one came after him and he hadn't expected them too. He survived off the streets - stealing, begging, etc. Whatever he had to do live, too put an end to the burning feeling of hatred eating away at him.

@Ganryu Can you explain the jutsu ranks? like how would one be able to do a C rank jutsu or a B rank jutsu? does it depend on their stat points? For example: 1 stat point in genjutsu can do a D rank move, and 3 can do a B rank.

Well, I can't answer for the GM with any authority, but here are some quotes from the characters tab:

"There are 5 levels to each stat:

1- D-level

2- C-level

3- B-level

4- A-level

5- S-level"

and

"(Like a 3 in Ninjutsu, you can have 1 B-ranked jutsu. You can later learn two more.)"

I'm just curious... would this Jutsu be banned for its incredible power, not to be trusted in the hands of Genin? :)

Ugh, I hate character grading. I love people's concepts, just saying no isn't my strong point. Anyways, Imma update the roster, and get to working on my two characters.

Ah, thank you for pointing that out! That ranking is wrong. Mind Stutter is a pretty shit-tier technique. It's the only one he knows as well, and is probably a D rank. Sorry for the confusion.

You would still have the issue of Genjutsu of D-Rank. You would need at least Genjutsu at 1 in order to have 1 D-rank technique anyways.

If you'll notice, I fixed it all up. It was a holdover from an older edit of the character, that I failed to update when I was changing things around. The woes of multiple drafts paired with my own idiocy. Everything is ship shape and Bristol fashion, fixed right after Adachi pointed it out.

Wasn't when I had made that comment. :P

Anyways finally posted Ashi up. Totally feel like I goofed up or I could of done better... but that is me in every single RP I go trying to be some perfectionist. >.<

Turns out you were right. Fucking draft didn't save. So, the summary is like six fuck ups all back to back for little ol' me.

Way to make me look like a schmuck, Hanarei. :^)

Also, Ashi looks baller AF. That means the first Konoha team can be formed! Once we get a Jonin, of course.

EDIT: Gosh I am even more ashamed of my fuck ups than I expected. This is an odd feeling. We're on suicide watch ladies and germs.

EDIT2: Now that I look at it, the Leaf team turned out pretty well as an independent-operation combat squad. We've got a ranged specialist, a tracker and a melee expert. I'm glad it came out as something sensible.

Sorry everyone, my character would have been up sooner but I had guests over all day. It should be up soon now though.

Speaking of, how many teams are we planning for?
I'm hoping three-ish. We'll see. Reguardless, we've almost got enough for the teams. I've got to get the IC organized, so expect about a week people. I didn't expect to get the OOC up so fast, or people to respond in kind.

*Childish wicked snickering* Noo! We want it sooner! Put it up sooner! *noms on a cookie being devious since she doesn't have to actually do anything this game.*

Hey guys, I've just joined this RP.

Hope you guys don't mind my S++ technique. It's just that I'm such a good role-player I deserve to have one on my Genin.

Yes I am kidding

Ah good, that's fine, personally I have my ??? rank punch that could destroy the world if I want myself. :P
