I thought the standard graduation age was 12? Well, I guess I was incorrect. Edited.

EDIT: I was right, apparently. Naruto graduated at age 12. I don't know how deep the chuunin exams are into the year, however, so I'll just assume he hit 13 between graduation and the start of the game.

As far as I was told (source might be unreliable) its been about 1 year since they became Genin. ^^;;

One at first. Then you can make a jonin if you want, and presumably you can make other characters too. At least, that was my understanding.

Well, reasonable number, but you can have multiple genin. Jonin, need a genin first.

Make all the characters! (Wait til ya see someone else's ya like is my opinion. We only have 3 chars so far I know of {Hanarei's working on one})

Man, I need to make some genin!

I might make a sibling for Jiro. Or a twin.

EDIT: Older Jonin sister?

Aye... just needing to work out the kinks... making a ninken-less Inuzuka is tougher then I thought. T.T Finding that right way to adapt with her not being to the point I think she can create her own more unique mix to it completely. ^^;; lol

I like the idea of a polar opposite Jonin sister, perhaps from a previous marriage of his father. What are the stats meant to look like for Jonin? She may or may not have deserted and gone to Rain.

Just to let everyone know, I'm also developing a character, it's just taking me a while to think of things

I have a character in the works as well, just toying with a few different concepts at the moment.

Assuming I'm the newest to join the group, my character might take me a little longer in making as well but is, in fact, already being formed, so hopefully not too long! :3

Btw, @Ganryu have you thought about updating the interest check with the link to the IC in the first post? That might make this easier to find

You'll probably be done before me honestly

And this is why we keep you around.

Done.

Ah, maybe, maybe not.

I sometimes procrastinate when I don't mean to, but this is too good not to hustle a wee bit to create a character, I'll just have to wait and see how long it takes me to think of a good character really.

Hoshiko Tanega

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Village: Rain, Formerly Leaf

Rank: Jonin

  • Appearance:
Hoshiko is an eye-catching woman. Her tall, well-muscled figure does not conceal an at least somewhat attractive repertoire of feminine features, though she often finds herself wishing they did not at all. Pragmatism, however, drives her to keep in fighting, not flattering, shape. Her hair, the burned auburn of her family, is worn long and loose in peace and up in a tight bun on missions, with carefully-trimmed bangs to avoid the locks getting in the way of cerulean eyes. She thinks her nose too long, and wishes it did not turn up quite so sharply. Her ears extend a hair too widely from her head, and her skin is paler than strictly fashionable, a result of her conservative, all-covering combat outfit.

Her gaze is severe. Her teeth, which were until her exodus from the leaf were constantly on display in wide smiles, are glittering white, now hidden behind closed lips. She moves quickly in most things. She walks quickly, she eats quickly, she speaks quickly, getting only quicker as emotions run high. Her voice is a high contralto, scarred by exposure to poison gas on a mission to police trade routes. She is the embodiment of a ninja's paranoia: always watching her surroundings, counting exits, looking for tells or hidden weapons. It's a curse more often than not, filling her with anxiety in the safety of the Rain village, where she still curries enough favor to be protected by her new Kage, but it's saved her life more than a few times on missions. Perhaps that's why she's never tried to kick the habit.

Personality: Hoshiko is not one to waste words. Not that she is fastidious with their use, but that she does not spend them doing anything but speaking her mind. She is opinionated, and is sure to express the stern beliefs that fill her head to any who will listen. She is the kind of woman who is likely to, and more than once has, been punished for pointing out the metaphorical nakedness of the emperor. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and while she has grown out of the shock at others not following suit, she is still offended by pointless deception among comrades. She has only recently learned to keep her mouth shut and not openly question orders, but the skill has already saved her a lifetime of trouble.

She is a loud woman. She laughs loudly, she cries loudly, she wears loud colors when not on missions and wears loud expressions when among her friends. She hasn’t yet fallen prey to the Jonin diseases of apathy, PTSD or defeatism, though she can feel them setting their cloying hooks in her soul. She is still determined to be a ninja, having had the necessity of power revealed to her from a young age, and wanting nothing more than to survive the tumult that a world full of individuals too powerful to do anything but fight. Long ago she abandoned thoughts of changing the world, realizing that despite her efforts to summit great heights her lack of special characteristics relegates her to a lower ceiling of power, and therefore influence.

Hoshiko is protective. She is protective of herself, eager to row against the damning current of the world, and protective of those she cares about. In the ruthless world of ninja, where the ordinary are sucked into the waves and whorls of the great, mutual safety is all there is to be found. She seeks to survive in all situations, and long abandoned, at least consciously, all higher causes as ideas to die for. She is a cutter of the Gordian Knot in her doctrine: the simplest solution is not always the first one to mind, but it is very rarely the worst option, and she long since learned that she is not equipped with the right sort of mind to fight against the forces arrayed against her by an uncaring world.

History:Hoshiko was a promising student, born to to Feng Tanega and his first wife. Good grades, excellent close-quarters fighting skills, a solid attitude and loyalty to the leaf village above her years. She was put on the fast track for advancement in a first-rate genin team with a first-rate teacher when she graduated the leaf academy. She led a successful, if unremarkable genin career, and was made Chuunin at the age of 15. When she was 16, she was on a mission to a small upstart collection of ninja, the normal sort asking for nominal autonomy in a different location. They had some sympathy from the Fire Daimyo’s court, and so Leaf needed casus belli to remove them. Hoshiko believed she was to spy on the village. Instead, her single teammate turned out to be ANBU, and was tasked to kill her on the village border. The trade of a single, unremarkable chuunin who could be trumpeted as a prodigy after her death for a successful mission, political power and a few valuable bloodlines who could have “exceptions” made for them, to bring their minor powers into the Leaf. Hoshiko understands why the Hokage, or whoever ordered the mission did it. That did not mean she forgave them.

Her victory over the ANBU was one of luck. She’d always been a light sleeper, and as the unfamiliar man was making to stab her in her sleep she caught him off guard and buried a kunai in his throat. Her patriotism was left in tatters along with his body, and she embraced the life of a missing nin. One run in with another band of missing nin proved to her how important strength is to one who wants to live outside the system, and after another lucky escape she made her way to Rain, where her skill with a sword bought her protection and a job as a soldier for the new Kage in the small country. Six years of service to Rain, and she earned the rank of Jonin and respect among her peers as a swordswoman of significant skill, and an asset of sufficient loyalty to be trusted for delicate operations.

I've been meaning to ask, where is this RP in relation to canon? Is this an AU, or set after the events of Naruto?
